I know whats coming and with all my heart and soul- I'm telling you now as loud as I can- follow the Jesus of the King James 1611 and read all his words as you plainly see them and follow Him with all your soul. There are 2 K/kings coming to claim what belongs to them, know who you serve, for they know who to claim. Please, time is so short.
arcasm you have issues. Even if God wasnt real, the fact that you'd make fun of a story like this is just sickening. I don't go around making videos telling you you're an idiot..what gives you the right to do it to us? Yes, of course Christians arent perfect. Hahaha I'm pretty sure that's what our philosophy is all about. But it's about a perfect God. When did it become so much about Christians and their flaws? Anyway, point is this is messed up. And could really hurt some feelings. Jus sayin..
Christianity is just awful. I mean apparently God is just a demon. I mean look, He loved us so much that He took place of all the stupid things we've done and died for us. And now He's making us this paradise that we can have if we just believe. What an awful man. Hey, let's run around on YouTube and make videos to make fun of this guy who loves us more than anyone else. Or better yet, let's push allthe people He loves away from Him. That'll really prove some points...if you didn't pick up my s
True story, i was the professor and finally i am out of the mental house!
Now i can get me some students to torture bwahaha.
Jokes aside, i also find this story to be more more plausible and believable than the original written by some brain washed pathetic moron who can see god even when he looks into the toilet after taking a dump and thinks that everybody must be stupid enough to believe in fairy godfather and his zombie son or whatever other fruits of sick imagination.
Hmm since the christians r so needy and protective of their god i say we should be protective of our technology! We must hide it all from them! Lol obviously jokes but it would be pretty funny to see how many convert to atheism
@cadpig01 What's racist about this? What race am I belittling or discriminating against? Christianity isn't a race, chief. And there's just as much evidence for the tooth fairy as there is for any god.
This guy has no right about teaching students 2 turn away from what they belive in, but im also a comitted athiest, but u ddont c me walking around saying 'U fool!! U belive in god!!' im not demented.
@CatRocker66 Well, no. Judging from your orthography, I'd say you're probably not an educator, so you don't have to worry about debunking dogma, do you?
heres why this makes sense: B/C things that have a one in a million chance of happening, happen one in a million times. doing the same thing over and over again does not always yield the same result, but attributing that one in a million to an invisible friend is just plain illogical.
Atheists have something against chirstians because they always try to convert them, or tell them theyre going to hell, or tell them theyre wrong. Just everyone leave everyone alone, seriously, i know you guys wanna preach to the world, but please respect that some people do not want to hear it. im not an atheist, but everyone gets so worked up about religion, mind your own business
Dude its alright that your athiest but seriously, why do you have to trash Christians like this? What ONE Christian ever made an atheist hate video? People make videos why they hate atheism but not atheists. Were you ever wronged by a Christian or somthing? Just saying please dont trash Christians.
HAHA Suspended?? In college?? For punching a kid?? Umm.. that doesn't happen there buddy.. It's in the hands of the Police Department at that point.. But then again, USC may be different.. =P (UCLA)!!!
I don't get it, this proves that there's a god. That could mean Allah. Or it could mean the Hinduism is right. Or, possibly one of the many Aztech, Mayan, Incan, or Egyptian gods. I'm confused. Somebody help me out here.
@Super720Productions It doesn't actually prove there's a god. It's supposed to be an example of a miracle, but the story has too many holes. It is clearly written by someone who only ever considered one religion (Christianity, since another version has the professor asks believers in Jesus alone to stand up) and doesn't seem to understand logic at all (since the 'argument' from the guy with 'impeccable' logic isn't actually logical. Nor is his response to a fluke.)
@bigz547899223 I'm on the side that isn't stupid. I guess this means I'm against the Christian student and the atheist professor but all for the atheist student.
@CrackyMcSmackhead I reckon it's a bit of A, a bit of C, and bit of D, E, F, etc., but definitely not B. It might seem irrational for him to get so pissed off over one logic error but you have to understand that the professor has been doing this for twenty years. He gets riled up because this guy has been getting away with his stupidity for that long. And yes I thought it would be funnier for him to cuss and be all violent. Sorry. I have a low brow sense of humor. Haha.
@CrackyMcSmackhead That's my bad. I thought the comment didn't post so I posted it again. Haha. That's right. You don't know me. Personally, I think you used to find inspiration from the story but have now been disillusioned and so you're taking it out on me by saying that my video is retarded. But I don't know that so I'm not going to say it... Wait... Oops. Haha. And the kid from the video probably has anger issues but he's not conflicted. Those are two completely different things. Haha.
@CrackyMcSmackhead The point is that the original story has a lot of holes in it and my version exposed it in an over-the-top way. I thought it was funny but you don't. That's cool. A lot of other commenters seem to like it.
@CrackyMcSmackhead The only thing that the atheist student did was expose the professor's logic as flawed. He neither proved nor disproved the existence of God. He isn't conflicted and neither am I.
Well it's a fairly complicated story,but basically the man in the tribal clothing is a member of the Auca Tribe in Ecuador and he along with others murdered the father of the guy who is translating for him along with four other missionaries who were trying to establish peaceful contact. Mincaye has never read the bible and this is his first time visiting the US. Earlier in his life he said he killed many people and his heart was full of anger and hate, but he is not the same person now.
You said you wanted to hear my opinion on this. Okay, here goes. Those tribal dudes who committed murder need to be punished! Justice must be served! Haha. It doesn't really matter if the translator forgives him or not. And it doesn't matter whether or not he's "the same person" as before. Otherwise, every old murderer would pull the same shtick. I may be taking things out of context here but I really can't be bothered to look this incident up. Haha
Well what I wanted to convey with this story was that God really isn't all that complicated. A Jungle Tribe in Ecuador was able to see his love through the love of people who tried to bring them hope and peace. Mincaye became a new person when one of the missionaries wives was asked to live with the tribe. Mincaye asked her if God could heal any heart and she said yes. The next morning Mincaye told the tribe, "talking with God last night he has healed my heart."
I don't think I ever claimed that god was complicated. In fact, and this is going to sound extremely arrogant, I reckon god is pretty simple. That is, the idea of a god appeals to simple-minded people, people easily convinced by flimsy evidence just because it's comforting. On the other hand, people with more complex minds cannot reconcile the concept of god with what they observe in the world. Of course, this is a generalization and in no way representative of all people.
God does comfort me through a lot of things. I have another question from when you were a believer, but what would you say characterized yourself as a believer. I mean what qualifies someone as a believer, do they have to do anything in particular?
I reckon the comfort you attribute to a god can be traced to more natural causes (perhaps you're comforting yourself or other people are doing it). It's kind of like the placebo effect.
I reckon a believer is someone who believes in one or more gods. And by believe I mean accept as true. And by god I reckon the most basic definition would be a supernatural omnipotent being. The omniscience, benevolence, and creator-of-the-universe status can also be thrown in there.
Sorry to intrude, but with what is happening in the world has been set in stone in the Bible. The corruptness, it's all there. The fact that the World is getting closer to a one world religion, and making religion cool as long as it applies to the lifestyle they want. That's the world you're observing. I read the Bible and it makes so much sense that man is nothing without God. Take money you live your whole life gettin it and I promise you you'll never be satisfied. Ask Tom Brady!
You didn't really answer my question. Well, okay, you did but your answer begs explaining too. You say that everything outside of Christ is vanity. Why? And how did you come up with that statement? And what does it even mean? These go for the rest of your statements as well.
As for my purpose. I don't have one. Unless you'd consider being happy while not stepping on other people's happiness as a "purpose."
Thank you for replying back, well what I mean that everything outside of Christ is vanity is that it has no real purpose and meaning, like the motives of it is not right with God therefore it does not glorify him. We try to fill a void in our heart that only God our maker can fill... some use drugs, sex, girls, cash, etc.... If you were to look at Ecclesiastes Solomon talks about this. He says that if we don't change our outlook on life, we truly won't be satisfied with it.
So your justification for what you're saying is the Bible? The book that tells us to kill homosexuals and teaches us the right way to keep slaves? You'll excuse me if I don't take you seriously.
Look, I can make my own purpose and it doesn't lessen my value at all. And for you to say that you wouldn't care about genocide or rape without a purpose is just sick. We care because we have empathy, not because some god told us we have to care.
I'm assuming you're talking about the references to slaves and homosexuality.
Leviticus 25: 44-46 talks about slaves, in general. Exodus 21: 7-11 talks explicitly about selling your own daughter as a slave.
And Leviticus 20: 13 has this to say on homosexuality: "If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense."
Sorry it took me a little while, I wanted to collect my thoughts and not say the wrong thing. Let me put it this way, the Jews back then took life very seriously and the implication that a death penalty was put into play spoke measure of how serious the matter was for God. Again... if you are a believer then you understood this, but if you weren't then the law had no benefit or effect to ya.
@KhristChild You say that there would be no effect on nonbelievers but it plainly states that ANY men who are caught having sex with each other should be killed. I think death is a pretty significant effect.
@CaloyAurellano I understand what you mean, but what I mean by that is that the significance of the crime wouldn't be understood if you truly do not understand what God means by his statement when he says Do Not Do This... and then someone goes on and does it. To a non-believer the crime seems like nothing at all and it's just a group of rational people killing or killed because of a simple homosexual sin. To God it's far greater than that. He created us in his image. male to female.
@KhristChild Are you actually defending this? Do you think that gay people should be killed because of the things they do in private? Things that do nothing to hurt anybody?
Here's the bottom line: Gay people do not deserve to die just because they're gay. It's wrong. And a supposedly benevolent god that preaches this is not a god that deserves any sort of respect. There are a lot of homophobes who are homophobes because of their religion. It's despicable.
@CaloyAurellano Here's what I'm going to say, I might now agree with it, and there's a lot of the Bible I don't get, but it is all sound doctrine and correct. The laws and rules were placed there to better us as humans and individuals. We can't justify what's right and wrong because what I say and what you say might be totally different things. I would never kill anybody. In actuality we all deserve death for our unrighteous deeds from birth. There is no good in us.... just look a the world.
@KhristChild I think what your argument boils down to is this: "God moves in mysterious ways that we simple-minded human beings cannot possibly understand." If this were the case then it's useless to have anything to do with God. What if he's so mysterious that to him killing people is a good thing? What if he's so mysterious that for him the one and only requirement to get into heaven is to anally rape a small furry creature once every day of your life? We can't know what he wants. Why bother?
@CaloyAurellano If that is the way you feel, then i'm sorry for you but it's your choice and in the end your life. But you're right on one thing though some of the acts of God we're are to simple-minded to get. But you're statement of anally raping a creature is pretty bizzare. exactly why bother. I hope you enjoy your life. You're not the first and certaintly not the last one to say there is no God... it's been said for many years.
@CaloyAurellano Psalms 14:1 For a fool has already said in his heart there is no God. like I said many have said it before and will continue to say it.... If ya believe a certain way it is hard to go against what you think.... me included. I got my reasons and you have yours, I just pray that your eyes will be open to the side of God you might not be so used to. If ya wanna know more about it or just interested i'll be happy to chop it up with you.
@KhristChild I'm a fool? Well, you're going to hell. Matthew 5:22 says "...anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell" Oops. You'd better repent! Haha. I'm just kidding.
Look, we're getting a bit hostile here and I think that's my fault. I'm sorry. I just get so into these kinds of debates. Perhaps we can agree to disagree. And just as you'll pray to your god for me, I'll pray to the Flying Spaghetti Monster that you might one day be free from the shackles of religion.
@videogamemaster700 I'm on the side that isn't stupid. This means I'm against the Christian student and the atheist professor, but I'm for the atheist student.
"I'm a fool? Well, you're going to hell. Matthew 5:22 says "...anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell" Oops. You'd better repent! "
I haven't heard that one before, LOL. I'll be using that passage against Christians from now on, by your courtesy.
@CaloyAurellano With the Homophobes as you say... it's not Religion that makes us Homophobes it is the natural brain chemistry and make up of a man to be "homophobic." If it was so natural don't you think there'd be more people doing it? It's a choice, just as others choose to kill/molest... etc. I'm not a homophobe but I don't agree with it at all.
@KhristChild Homophobia is due to ignorance. It's not innate and everlasting. And there are plenty of homophobes out there. Have you ever heard of the Westboro Baptist Church? Those guys are actually better at following the Bible than you are. Apparently, you get to pick and choose which teachings of your God to follow. Doesn't that make you equal to or even greater than your own god?
@CaloyAurellano Actually it's not due to ignorance. Actually look it up and don't just come up with assumptions if the facts are there. As for the WBC, i'm not 100% if they are actually following the Bible accordingly. For example we should love our neighbors that's something that they have been having problems with.
@KhristChild Oh and as for the homophobia bit, could you give me a link or other source on that? All the sites I've been to point to either religion, ignorance, the influences of society, or repressed homosexuality as the causes of homophobia.
@CaloyAurellano Actually no I don't pick and choose which "teachings" to follow. The New Testament was a new covenant that God made with his people, kind of like what he did with Noah after the Arc. He sent his son to die for our sins and gave us a model way of living. Pretty simple.... but again religion or even God for that matter serves no purpose if he's no existant... so it's pointless for this debate to continue.
For you to say you don't have a purpose doesn't it lessen the value that you have of a human. If we don't have a purpose then there is no reason for us to be upset when genocide occurs, or someone is raped, murdered... We all have a purpose or we wouldn't be here on this green earth that is the ultimate source that we could ask for. Happiness is something everyone should have but it shouldn't just be it...Being nice is just how we're supposed to act since day in and day out.
I have another quick question, but I want to hear what you have to think about this one book I've been reading about some missionaries that got murdered by a violent jungle tribe in Ecuador back in the 1950's. I found this video that sums it up fairly well. Just type in Mincaye into the search bar and click on the first vid. If you have any time I just want to hear your opinion on the story.
I watched the video but, unfortunately, I do not get what is going on in it. All the stuff about following some god's path is just bullshit to me. Sorry.
Hi I commented on your video a while back and was reading some posts and saw that you said you were a believer for fourteen years before renouncing your faith. Just curious but could you explain what you believed in and why you ended up renouncing it.
I believed in an almighty, benevolent god. I renounced my faith because I realized that I actually had the option to not believe. My religion never really made any sense and I just went with it for all that time because I didn't know any better and because everyone else was doing it. There's a lot more to it than just that but there's a 500 character limit here. Haha.
I'm a Christian and all, but a lot of these commenters have made some really bad, hurtful arguments. They need to examine themselves first before moving onto you.
Anyways, not that my argument would be any better or effective, I'd just like to know, without religion, how do you decipher between right and wrong?
I know. I thought Christians were supposed to be peaceful and loving. Haha.
As for morality... I don't really know how to answer. I mean, I know that murder is wrong because it hurts other people (not just the one who's killed) as well as landing you in deep shit with the law. And I know that helping people is right because it's beneficial to the people helped and it makes you feel good yourself. I don't need a religion to know these things.
@CaloyAurellano I see your point. But just because something is benficial to other people doesn't make it right. Killing half the world would be benificial to overpopulation, but that doesn't mean it's right. An outside force reminding you it's wrong would just make sense.
I'm not expecting you to change your mind about something like this over a few YouTube comments, I'm just making some points:)
That's right. There are many factors that go into determining right from wrong and often it isn't even that clear cut; there are gray areas. We all have the capacity to weigh these factors in determining right from wrong with or without religion.
And besides, religion isn't very clear either. One of the 10 Commandments states that we should not kill but killing is not wrong all the time. In some cases, killing out of self-defense is totally justified. And some people use their religion to justify some insanely evil things (suicide bombers, terrorists in general).
@CaloyAurellano Some religion does cause evil, but not all religion is right. Even some of the so-called Christians calling you names in these comments aren't really Christians because of mean things they say to you. They may fully believe they are treating like that for God, but it's really just to make you feel bad.
PS. I'd just like to say your the friendliest athiest I've ever "argued" with on YouTube. You deserve a high five.
Okay I want to know why the heck anyone would have to nerve to make a parady out of such a true story. This isn't fun and games. This is a religious story that proves how amazing god is, and you mocked it. I don't know what is up with you, but it discusts me. I am tempted to record this video to Youtube.
Why the nerve? Because I've got balls. And it is not a true story. Check the description. This isn't fun and games? I had fun with it. Yes, I mocked it but it proves nothing about this god character. You know what disgusts me? The impact that the original version of this story has had on so many believers despite all of its glaring flaws and stupidity.
I'm assuming you meant to say report and not record because it just wouldn't make any damn sense otherwise. Please feel free to report my video if there is anything in it that is in violation of YouTube's policies. Please go over the policies carefully first though. I don't want you to get into any trouble over a false reporting.
Okay. I hope you don't lose any sleep mulling that one over because it doesn't really matter. Go read a book (I recommend The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins), play some sports, or watch a documentary (I really like Religulous by Bill Maher). Enjoy your life.
Hey, I appreciate the concern but it's not necessary. I don't believe hell exists and even if it does, I'm damned anyway because I've already committed the unforgivable sin. There's nothing you can do to save me. Haha. Thanks for the comment.
@CaloyAurellano there is nothing you can do that wont make god not forgive you remember jesus gave his life for you i hope god will be with you one day
this is terrible. i pity you greatly. you obviously haven't experienced the love of God. i can understand not believing, but you obviously don't even care to try. i am sorry for you...
Well, that's terribly presumptuous of you. You don't even know me. I have tried believing, actually. In fact, I was a believer for fourteen years before denouncing my faith. It was a huge turning point in my life and I do not harbor an ounce of regret over it. You needn't feel sorry for me as I am happier now than I ever was as a believer. I love being an atheist. It's awesome.
This is my own version of this story. It says so in the description. I kept the "this is a true story" bit for laughs. It's the REAL story because it makes more sense than the original.
And I'm quite aware that the original is bogus. That's actually the point of this video: to spotlight the bogus aspects of the original.
thus there was no other atheist student just another god beilver who was scared bye the proffesor to stand and defend his beilefs plus the professor was not from a mental instutue and this story is still a legend other wise
This is just a urban legend and if it isnt it would be proven that Albert Einstien was this professor and it wasnt at USC look it up google it you will all see i am right and i am not atheist i am catholic
I do think you make a good point in this vid though and that is that when the one guy stands up and says if this kid doesn't slap me, then he doesn't exist, but he does in fact clearly exist because everyone is looking at him. So can you prove through logic that there is or is not a god? but there can only be one true answer, he either exists or he does not.
And satan just wants me to think that he loves me, but I aint falling for that lie. Peace
I can't disprove the existence of one or more Gods in the same way that I (or you or anyone else) can't disprove the existence of werewolves or vampires or fairies. So the one true answer doesn't matter because we can't find it. And just because it can't be disproved doesn't mean that it's automatically true.
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is good for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those whose listen. Be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you."
Ahahahahahaha!! Why does everyone get their panties in a twist? Christian's twisted the story of jesus' birth....and now atheists twist christian's stories. Good job Caloy
wo really? u completely trasjed the story ......that kid DID stand up. and the profesor yelled you fool and proceede to drop the chalk and it hit the ground wiht out breaking ...and so the profesor ran out of the room ......i mean look im really mad...but i am not cusing you out and making u cry.
ok LOOK IF U WANT TO TRRASH SOMEELSES VID GO DO SO BUT THIS SHIT U CROSSED THE LINE OK F U MAN OK U CAN KEEP UR SHIT TOO URSLEF BUT ASSHOLES LIKE U PISS PEOPLE OFFF OK
uhmm okay pinoy ka pala,, most of the Filipinos are Christian,, the funny part there is the logic of the student which indirectly slapped the professor face,, LoL,, but,, i do respect if your an atheist,, but can you pls give a little respect in terms of our religion??
I respect your right to adhere to whatever religion you want but I won't respect the religion itself when it squelches free thinking, promotes homophobia, and causes so much violence.
I don't believe in any god. You can't really surmise that about me from the video because all I'm doing there is refuting the original story and not refuting the existence of one or more gods.
And I don't see what profanity has to do with a belief in one or more gods... unless you're referring to cusses including the words god or Jesus.
I hope that cleared things up. Thanks for the comment!
as far as society is concerned, cussing isn't exactly kosher (no pun intended) among religious folk. but thanks for clearing that up. and fugazi rules.
this is woeful. god does exist there is loads of evidence and he is seen in everyday life. John 3:16-for god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
This is the wrong story

Atheists have something against chirstians because they always try to convert them, or tell them theyre going to hell, or tell them theyre wrong. Just everyone leave everyone alone, seriously, i know you guys wanna preach to the world, but please respect that some people do not want to hear it. im not an atheist, but everyone gets so worked up about religion, mind your own business

I don't get it, this proves that there's a god. That could mean Allah. Or it could mean the Hinduism is right. Or, possibly one of the many Aztech, Mayan, Incan, or Egyptian gods. I'm confused. Somebody help me out here.
Super720Productions 1 year ago
@Super720Productions It doesn't actually prove there's a god. It's supposed to be an example of a miracle, but the story has too many holes. It is clearly written by someone who only ever considered one religion (Christianity, since another version has the professor asks believers in Jesus alone to stand up) and doesn't seem to understand logic at all (since the 'argument' from the guy with 'impeccable' logic isn't actually logical. Nor is his response to a fluke.)

@CrackyMcSmackhead Okay, man. Have fun on the YouTubes. Stay away from the low-brow humor. Haha
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CrackyMcSmackhead I reckon it's a bit of A, a bit of C, and bit of D, E, F, etc., but definitely not B. It might seem irrational for him to get so pissed off over one logic error but you have to understand that the professor has been doing this for twenty years. He gets riled up because this guy has been getting away with his stupidity for that long. And yes I thought it would be funnier for him to cuss and be all violent. Sorry. I have a low brow sense of humor. Haha.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CrackyMcSmackhead That's my bad. I thought the comment didn't post so I posted it again. Haha. That's right. You don't know me. Personally, I think you used to find inspiration from the story but have now been disillusioned and so you're taking it out on me by saying that my video is retarded. But I don't know that so I'm not going to say it... Wait... Oops. Haha. And the kid from the video probably has anger issues but he's not conflicted. Those are two completely different things. Haha.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CrackyMcSmackhead The point is that the original story has a lot of holes in it and my version exposed it in an over-the-top way. I thought it was funny but you don't. That's cool. A lot of other commenters seem to like it.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago

GodSavesisthetruth 1 year ago
@GodSavesisthetruth
Haha
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano
GodSavesisthetruth 1 year ago
@GodSavesisthetruth
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
God does comfort me through a lot of things. I have another question from when you were a believer, but what would you say characterized yourself as a believer. I mean what qualifies someone as a believer, do they have to do anything in particular?
GodSavesisthetruth 1 year ago
@GodSavesisthetruth
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
Sorry to intrude, but with what is happening in the world has been set in stone in the Bible. The corruptness, it's all there. The fact that the World is getting closer to a one world religion, and making religion cool as long as it applies to the lifestyle they want. That's the world you're observing. I read the Bible and it makes so much sense that man is nothing without God. Take money you live your whole life gettin it and I promise you you'll never be satisfied. Ask Tom Brady!
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild
How does it make sense that man is nothing without a god? Please explain.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
Because anything outside of Christ is vanity. True Joy, satisfaction, pleasure that will last, and Love is only found from God.
Relationships aren't built on the principles that God had made, therefore we now look at divorces as just a part of life.
I want to ask you a personal question?
What do you think your purpose is here on earth?
again... im in no way instigating anything just trying to chop it up with ya. :)
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@ CaloyAurellano
Thank you for replying back, well what I mean that everything outside of Christ is vanity is that it has no real purpose and meaning, like the motives of it is not right with God therefore it does not glorify him. We try to fill a void in our heart that only God our maker can fill... some use drugs, sex, girls, cash, etc.... If you were to look at Ecclesiastes Solomon talks about this. He says that if we don't change our outlook on life, we truly won't be satisfied with it.
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano
I don't know where you are getting that text, can you show me exactly where it's at?
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild You say that there would be no effect on nonbelievers but it plainly states that ANY men who are caught having sex with each other should be killed. I think death is a pretty significant effect.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano I understand what you mean, but what I mean by that is that the significance of the crime wouldn't be understood if you truly do not understand what God means by his statement when he says Do Not Do This... and then someone goes on and does it. To a non-believer the crime seems like nothing at all and it's just a group of rational people killing or killed because of a simple homosexual sin. To God it's far greater than that. He created us in his image. male to female.
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild Are you actually defending this? Do you think that gay people should be killed because of the things they do in private? Things that do nothing to hurt anybody?
Here's the bottom line: Gay people do not deserve to die just because they're gay. It's wrong. And a supposedly benevolent god that preaches this is not a god that deserves any sort of respect. There are a lot of homophobes who are homophobes because of their religion. It's despicable.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano Here's what I'm going to say, I might now agree with it, and there's a lot of the Bible I don't get, but it is all sound doctrine and correct. The laws and rules were placed there to better us as humans and individuals. We can't justify what's right and wrong because what I say and what you say might be totally different things. I would never kill anybody. In actuality we all deserve death for our unrighteous deeds from birth. There is no good in us.... just look a the world.
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild I think what your argument boils down to is this: "God moves in mysterious ways that we simple-minded human beings cannot possibly understand." If this were the case then it's useless to have anything to do with God. What if he's so mysterious that to him killing people is a good thing? What if he's so mysterious that for him the one and only requirement to get into heaven is to anally rape a small furry creature once every day of your life? We can't know what he wants. Why bother?
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano If that is the way you feel, then i'm sorry for you but it's your choice and in the end your life. But you're right on one thing though some of the acts of God we're are to simple-minded to get. But you're statement of anally raping a creature is pretty bizzare. exactly why bother. I hope you enjoy your life. You're not the first and certaintly not the last one to say there is no God... it's been said for many years.
KhristChild 1 year ago

KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild Homophobia is due to ignorance. It's not innate and everlasting. And there are plenty of homophobes out there. Have you ever heard of the Westboro Baptist Church? Those guys are actually better at following the Bible than you are. Apparently, you get to pick and choose which teachings of your God to follow. Doesn't that make you equal to or even greater than your own god?
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano Actually it's not due to ignorance. Actually look it up and don't just come up with assumptions if the facts are there. As for the WBC, i'm not 100% if they are actually following the Bible accordingly. For example we should love our neighbors that's something that they have been having problems with.
KhristChild 1 year ago
@KhristChild Oh and as for the homophobia bit, could you give me a link or other source on that? All the sites I've been to point to either religion, ignorance, the influences of society, or repressed homosexuality as the causes of homophobia.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano Actually no I don't pick and choose which "teachings" to follow. The New Testament was a new covenant that God made with his people, kind of like what he did with Noah after the Arc. He sent his son to die for our sins and gave us a model way of living. Pretty simple.... but again religion or even God for that matter serves no purpose if he's no existant... so it's pointless for this debate to continue.
KhristChild 1 year ago
@ CaloyAurellano
For you to say you don't have a purpose doesn't it lessen the value that you have of a human. If we don't have a purpose then there is no reason for us to be upset when genocide occurs, or someone is raped, murdered... We all have a purpose or we wouldn't be here on this green earth that is the ultimate source that we could ask for. Happiness is something everyone should have but it shouldn't just be it...Being nice is just how we're supposed to act since day in and day out.
KhristChild 1 year ago

Hi I commented on your video a while back and was reading some posts and saw that you said you were a believer for fourteen years before renouncing your faith. Just curious but could you explain what you believed in and why you ended up renouncing it.
GodSavesisthetruth 1 year ago
@GodSavesisthetruth
Haha.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
I'm a Christian and all, but a lot of these commenters have made some really bad, hurtful arguments. They need to examine themselves first before moving onto you.
Anyways, not that my argument would be any better or effective, I'd just like to know, without religion, how do you decipher between right and wrong?
undermyskin13 1 year ago
@undermyskin13
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano I see your point. But just because something is benficial to other people doesn't make it right. Killing half the world would be benificial to overpopulation, but that doesn't mean it's right. An outside force reminding you it's wrong would just make sense.
I'm not expecting you to change your mind about something like this over a few YouTube comments, I'm just making some points:)
undermyskin13 1 year ago
@undermyskin13
That's right. There are many factors that go into determining right from wrong and often it isn't even that clear cut; there are gray areas. We all have the capacity to weigh these factors in determining right from wrong with or without religion.
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@undermyskin13
And besides, religion isn't very clear either. One of the 10 Commandments states that we should not kill but killing is not wrong all the time. In some cases, killing out of self-defense is totally justified. And some people use their religion to justify some insanely evil things (suicide bombers, terrorists in general).
CaloyAurellano 1 year ago
@CaloyAurellano Some religion does cause evil, but not all religion is right. Even some of the so-called Christians calling you names in these comments aren't really Christians because of mean things they say to you. They may fully believe they are treating like that for God, but it's really just to make you feel bad.

Peace
GodSavesisthetruth 2 years ago
@GodSavesisthetruth
I can't disprove the existence of one or more Gods in the same way that I (or you or anyone else) can't disprove the existence of werewolves or vampires or fairies. So the one true answer doesn't matter because we can't find it. And just because it can't be disproved doesn't mean that it's automatically true.

Hahahaha. People getting sent to a mental hospital for being morons. That's awesome.
It's not so bad in here. They at least let me go on YouTube. I'm not so big on the strait jackets though.

uhmm okay pinoy ka pala,, most of the Filipinos are Christian,, the funny part there is the logic of the student which indirectly slapped the professor face,, LoL,, but,, i do respect if your an atheist,, but can you pls give a little respect in terms of our religion??
mharvayn27 2 years ago
I respect your right to adhere to whatever religion you want but I won't respect the religion itself when it squelches free thinking, promotes homophobia, and causes so much violence.

this isn't the real story

That's right. It's my own version. It says so in the description.
It's the REAL story because it makes more sense. Haha

ok you have to clarify for me. judging from that video, you believe in god. but your comments and, uhh, liberal use of profanity suggest otherwise.
RyanUnbreakable 2 years ago
I don't believe in any god. You can't really surmise that about me from the video because all I'm doing there is refuting the original story and not refuting the existence of one or more gods.
And I don't see what profanity has to do with a belief in one or more gods... unless you're referring to cusses including the words god or Jesus.
I hope that cleared things up. Thanks for the comment!
CaloyAurellano 2 years ago
as far as society is concerned, cussing isn't exactly kosher (no pun intended) among religious folk. but thanks for clearing that up. and fugazi rules.

this is woeful. god does exist there is loads of evidence and he is seen in everyday life. John 3:16-for god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

ok?

I respectfully disagree. Thank you for the comment.
