Hello I Have A 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix And I Was Wondering Was There Ever A Time Where Your Power Windows Wouldnt Work? And You Replaced The Fuse And It Still Didnt Work? if so did you fix it and How?
i gpt a 67 goat with a roller motor 455and a dual high rise intake with 750s sitting on topand rheowing about 600+ hp at tires. these are bery bery bery buildable and it does 12s in the quarter. im in the army and my SGT wont line up his c5 vette with me even tho we in same club. love the great one long live detroit iron. ricers beware of old school muscle it may be old and its definately grumpy
it should be yes but one leaf springs do no justice for traction so im getting a 4 link. the absolute best i ran was a 11:89 in street tires its fun tho i dont do it to go and say my car is better just that the 67 400s and 455s are amazing bundles of potential...happy holidays bub
lol mine does but i want to do a 4 link i bought it from my neighbor 5 years ago that way dont know if it came that way or he did it he had the car for 20 years...lol i bought it with a 400 in it that was yeared 75 so who knows if its correct or not but i love the old thing ..lol happy holidays bro
for a heavy car like that isnt to bad he didnt put it in passing gear a ricer only weighs 2,000 lbs this car ways 4,500lbs double the weight thats why people are building roller 455s for them puting turbos on them now and there beating ricers real bad i beat 1 in my 72 buick skylark and it only has a 2barrel this kid was pissed he had a turbo on it 2 lol....
well.. at 15 seconds in video... the car is showing 120 and the first second or two of video car is not moving... so... (btw.. this car looks 200000 times better then an import)
Oh I agree, I hate imports, was just saying that it took a while to get there. Not sure why people always get bent out of shape when you give an honest assessment.
i own a 68 myself up here in vancouver, and that video is soooo true. done it myself. put you rice burner crap in the shop because until youve felt Charger torque throw you in the back of the seat, you havent felt nothin
i love how people that drive pos ponies come on here and talk about how their car is faster and say the video is a fake morons its obviously real and im betting you have never rode in a car like that or else you would know its legit
Gas Gage: Great point! As a Pontiac guy I already knew this AIN'T FAKE based on my experience of how these cars RUN, FEEL, SOUND, ETC. But for those who think it's fake on jack stands, the gas gage proves it wasn't. It starts at almost 3/4, & goes down to about 1/4, but DOES come back to almost 3/4 when he lets off--(((she didn't use all that 1/2 tank of gage variation, LOL))). The only thing that will do that is TRUE HARD G-FORCES (not on jacks) pushing the fuel away from the tank sending unit.
Its spelled gay... See, driving an import makes you forget how to spell... No wonder everyone that drives those pieces of shit don't know what the hell they're doing.
I used to have a 72 with a 455 back in the day. I can attest that this is an accurate video , right down to the gas guage. Mine did the same thing. I had to slow roll mine to 20-25 mph, then hammer it, otherwise the tires would put on a smoke show and the car went nowhere.
keep your eye on the fuel gauge (love the old mechanical gauges) - you tromp it and they sink towards empty, and when they bounce back, they're well under where they started at.
I've been known to enjoy a quick blast up to a buck twennty just for fun. You should make a video with your windows up so we can hear what sounds like Flowmasters
Yeah, I know. But, one has to plan out one of these things. It ain`t like the old days. Cell phones and all. I`m building a new engine now that will make this one shit so...
my dad has had a 70 trans am with a 455 swap, a catalina with a 455 swap, an 80's grand prix with a 455 swap lol, and the 71 gto mentioned above, and many others. my dad's friend also had a 69 judge, and a 64 gto with a 428 swap, his other friend had the fastest street legal 64 gto. it had a untouched super duty 455 swap that made over 700 horsepower at the wheels. the motor was never meant to be sold but somehow it got on a shelf and he got a hold of it. :) i love pontiacs! haha
My old 73 formula 455 super duty pegged a 500 hp dyno, 3 sp auto could hit second gear at 60 then hold it to 120 hit third and spin the wheels. ah to be 16 again
gotta love hi-way gears i had a 69 Chevelle with a 350 LT1, solid .30 .30 Z28 cam 256 gears in and could hit 80 mph in first gear...doing donuts one time and made the speedometer go past 120 all the way around to 60 mph. then i istalled 456's. never lost a race in that car... the kid i sold it to put it in the ditch first day he got it. i told him to be careful in the rain..... gotta love posi. 200 ft posi burnout, with out keeping
i had a '73 Ventyra with a pontiac 350 i swapped in a '73 455 out of a Grand Prix,, when i hit 3rd gear at a 100 mph my car liietterally launched another 30 mph instantanesly and scared the ever living fuck out of me as i wasnt expecting that..spun a bearing in it doing a burnout... watch the revs on those pontiacs....
me and my buddy burried the needle way faster...... we were on ice haha

that is a cool ride but to me a muscle car is all about torque. i'll stick with my 4.11's and 3.73's.

Hey, good job, nice old school ride =)
Livingthedream84 2 years ago
It takes 12.2 seconds to go from 0 to 111 at the track at 3800 pounds. FYI
This engine has been together since the late `80`s.
