i loved this game..i was 16 in 89 and me and my freind would walk up to the corner store and play this all the time..looking at it now its sorta choppy...but i think they should re make this game...i liked it alot
@mshelton0222 I was in college and I remember I'd had a really bad day in basketball practice, studies, and girlfiend. I was roaming through the student conference hall when I came upon the Arch Rivals arcade in a hidden section by the cafeteria and I was so completely immersed in this game; it was completely cathartic for me. This game reminded me what fun was.
This was before the NBA Jam series (including NBA Hangtime) were born; however, this game was developed by Midway, the company that owns Arch Rivals and the NBA Jam series.
Seems like Midway has always done a good job in arcade basketball games. I wish I could have played this, as it looks like it'd be fun to punch a guy in the face after he drains a three on you.
The arcade market has largely died off. Thankfully we have emulators now.
