  • I actually agree with the guy that made this video. Due to experiences caused by serious ankle sprains. I could really use a machine like that.

  • Anatomically, this makes a lot of sense. However, I dunno if you're average person can tolerate that much weight for the inversion/eversion motions ( maybe even get hurt) I can see how this can improve your lateral quickness because you're maximizing the energy you get from pushing off your feet, but I think most athletes get enough dorsi/plantar flexion that this may not help their vertical ie, calf raises. Thanks for the video.

  • get to the fucking point

    dick

  • i think this is a serious peice of equipment.

  • you are wrong, quickness comes from the nervous system. are you qualified to be attempting to teach people these things?

  • @inmymind801 Quickness comes from brains and nervous system transvers it to place where you want, example on feets and then it goes to you muscles wich working in the way you nervous systems tell them to work. Am I right, why I wouldn't? If that's true then you have to have all those things in shape to be as quick as you can. You have have right mindset, good nervous system and strong and explosive muscles to get that work!

  • @inmymind801 hey... yes you must do sport specific training at high level because that is how you play-- yes? we play how we practice....

  • What a ridiculous waste of time & money. Great for a giggle though, thanks!

  • where can i get one of these machines?

  • haha wtf... wow...

  • Whats your vertical jump?

  • Where I can I buy the device? I don't mind paying the price, get back to me soon. Thanks!

  • He loves to clap.

  • I have to ask is this josh selby's dad?

  • 300 dollar lol I cant make it for 10 dollar

  • Where can I find the machine?

  • hi. i'm from portugal. where can i buy the dard machine?

  • hi. i'm from portugal. where can i buy the dard machine?

  • That wasgrat

  • im about to weld myself that thing

  • they have this at my college gym.

  • I could see Usain using something like this, and he's got crazy-jacked calves.

  • this might be good for balancing your muscles and prevention but this shit aint makin you more explosive, is it?

  • @Ooijer yes, calves act as stabilizers but balance and stability happens in the entire body which is coordination not just calves or feet.

  • explosive... is a whole body activity... having strong lower legs is part of whole body... and training is a must!

you only perform like your train / practice

  • @stretchexpert where can i purchase one of these ankle strengthners??

  • @Ooijer Quickness is first a state of mind- that needs to get to your feet...

as quick as possible.... this equipment help you get where you want to be...

  • u said its a foot/ ankle strengthener but whats the name of the product because i can't find it plz respond.

  • What kind of sets and reps do you look to do and how often?

  • a stable training surface is greater than an unstable one. we want to train in a stable environment because we play and practice in unpredictable environments. use the boards, and soles at your own risk- they could lead to micro tears which lead to sprains and strains. you are your own coach- get better!

  • Your comment makes no sense...you want to train in as similar as a manner as you compete...training on only a stable surface then competing on an unstable surface sets an athlete up for injury! The misinformation on this page and video are ridiculous!!!!!! Baps boards lead to neuromuscular re-education and an increase in musle reaction and strengthening which decrease your risk for injury...you need to do some research!! I know that you mean well, however, you are misleading people.

  • I really listened to a lot of your advice but TRUST me- by using the board it definately not only improves your balance or coordination it infact prevents you from spraining your ankle- and in the event that it does occur, your recovery from the injury will be faster and more effective.

In my own experience I got noticably quicker reaction time not only laterally but gained a whole lot vertically. Its not all as a result of the board- but the board was an essential part of my improvement.

  • There are many MANY satisfied customers of this great exerciser, whose price reflects its value, they are too busy using their strong ankles to be bickering about price.

  • Comment removed

  • i've recently blown out my ankle and I was just wondering if these ankles will get it back to strength, also if I can't find/make this contraption, what can I use as a substitute for the same exercises with weights?Thank you!

  • Sometimes I got some pain in that muscle ;o

Does I need to do this to get it better?

  • how can i get this thing?? i want it someone to use it

  • uhhh u forgot flexibility dip shit

  • the fuck man? this is for your quickness not for jumping

  • Force is mostly strength. Gain Muscle pounds. Speed stays the same but the force is doubled!

  • fuck that, if i wanna do this i can make one of those

  • What is the name of the device? Great vids By the way

  • I find it funny how $300.00 for greater strength and less injuries causes such a conversation. This is less than $1.00 a day forever- you entire playing and non-playing career. Look at jack at 75 years, he is using his. take a look at what you really value. feet and ankle are foundations to your game.

  • If you want to use a balance board with ankle weights, you should do it both with one foot at a time and both together. Doing this will work different intrinsic and extrinsic muscles in the foot. I've noticed when doing one foot at a time you capture more strength and explosiveness, while when doing to it helps more for balance and coordination.

  • it is vital to remember that using a board like that really does not help increase balance or coordination. those boards really are a hazard to one's training. one slip and you are out for a few weeks recovering.two feet on the ground- it is called a 'complete chain' is the most effective way to train. get stronger with the basics first

  • i;m skipp by the way the 5'11 dude

  • hey stretch expert thnX for your advise i jump so much higher now.,check the video response out!!!

    peace!

  • Also, there are wrap-around ankle/wrist weights. You can wrap one around your foot and do that flex movement.

  • $300! HELLS NO!

  • think i could make one of those myself?

  • u seem 2 no a lot about legs and ankle muscles. r u a proffessional physiotherapist or something?

  • AWESOME

  • dude ur awesome!

  • that machine is pretty cool

  • If you already have a balance board and an ankle weight, you can do all these exercises virtually as well as you would with this piece of equipment.

  • i have a balance board... i am looking to buy ankle weights anyways.

what type of exercise would you suggest.. just put the weight on one ankle so the stress is on that one.. then change it and put the weight on the other ankle

or do it with both feet??..

sorry just wondering if you done it.. i would appreciate the advice rather then buying the machine in video.

    thank you

  • you can also tie something heavy to the top part of your foot, and do the same movement. for example, if that towel above his foot was a flat weight....

  • good idea. i may use that :D

  • thank you, i just tried this and after that i dunked for the first time, it was a 720 windmill between both legs off the backboard alley oop

  • hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe

  • nice

  • i bet i could do that on like a 6' rim

  • hi thanks

  • i think it is pretty possible to make one of these

  • looks pretty make-able

  • lol i think u can make that for under 50 bucks and thats over pricing it ROFL

  • lol i was just thinking i may make just make it myself and scrolled down to see others had been thinking the same, deffo not worth 300 dollers but a very good design still.

  • thanks for another helpful vid Coach, I wish you'd put 'em up more often

  • hi shelby .. im in crestone colorado, a place i think you would like very much.

    t

  • 300dollars is pretty expensive for that.
