  • I do not know what is here, but I shall enjoy.... om mani padme hum :)

  • Why don't translate to many language? What does it mean? One sentence repeat many time for what? Brain wash yourself?

  • love pure love...blessings, love & light

  • Its actually "OM MANEE PEMME HUM".

  • @rweerakkody4565 I'd say it's something between pedme and pemme, you'd have to use phonetic signs to be precise. Also, the pronounciation varies..

  • Namo Buddhaya! Very catchy chant. Now I can pronounce it correctly. :) Om mani pedme hum ___/\___

  • I like this video. It gave me alot of positive energy. I felt it the same way God gave me the energy when I was in Highschool.Thanks. :)

    Namo Avalokitesvara bodhisattva!

  • BEAUTIFUL. OMMMM ...

  • en realidad el mantra quiere decir que salve al espiritu en la tierra.

  • What does this chant mean? It's a fun one and lovely.

  • @MolecularMoonlight I am the jewel in the lotus, I believe is the meaning of the words. The essence of the mantra is what I find to hold the power of the mantra. The essence of this mantra is the essence of the Buddha's teachings: Selflessness, Compassion, Generosity, Concentration, Wisdom, Perseverance, and good ethics. When I chant this mantra I usually think about how everything in this world is radiating this mantra from within because we are Om Mani Padme Hum.

  • This has saved my life on so many bad trips!

  • @aarondkeogh om mani padme hum om mani padme hum om mani padme hum

  • There is something to be said, somethings people cannot see that is so clear to others. The ability to understand is based on understanding view points. To the slight quarrel of ideas i read below i say this to all sides. Now for one to realize the true beauty of this chant they must have first had an epiphany on their own. We have no need to berate others for when we do so we only pick out our own faults. We must not forget what this chant shows us.

  • das entspannt.....

  • thankyou with Love and Light...

  • dont understand it but all my understanding may only be an illusion so i guess it doesent matter .

  • om mani padme hum of 33.41 is my favorite chant. HOWEVER, it only plays for about 22 minutes and then stops. Does not finish and does not go to the next item. I hope you will fix this--it is so good. The Best!!!! Thank you, batesaurio. galleongusty@yhoo.com

  • youtube is not the place to argue over buddhism. look within yourself. or read through many many books. dont judge based on wikipedia and think you know everything. library. books. not internet, wikipedia. ...

  • @zeace2 argument is not necessarily a fight. it can just be a tool to clear up wrong views. and many many books about buddhism, especially in the west are garbage and fill people with more falsehood and confusion. it is true that the truth can be found within, but who will look within deep enough with enough wisdom as to see truth as truth and not kleisha as truth also?

  • in whatever doctrine or teaching the noble eightfold path is not found there will neither be fond those who have become sotapanna, sakadagami, anagami, arahant

  • you can use if you do not see sex is not listening and not because I think that the animal was killed

  • the most correct religion

  • Buddha the 9th avatar of Lord Vishnu :)

  • @rohit5229 that's a lie brahmins made up because the buddha threatened the cast system and their privileged position.

  • @TeaKettleBBQ What ever my friend. May be it's true or not. I am Brahmin of 21st century and I too oppose caste system. The only caste these days is money. It really doesn't matter what caste are you from these days. The more the money the higher the caste even if you are from a lower caste. It's not important for you and me and everyone whether Buddha is Vishnu avatar or not. All religions teach the same thing "Be good and do good" so it's up to you whether to be good are not. Buddha bless you

  • @rohit5229 It is good you agree that what caste you are doesn't matter but it is not true that all religions teach the same thing. I have studied other religions and they all contradict. And each religion has a different idea of what good is. One religion may say it is good not to eat meat another religion may say it is good to eat meat when the animal has been cruely killed in the name of your god. The Buddhist religion cannot be paired with any other religion.

  • @rohit5229 If the religion does not teach Non-self then it can not be said to be in agreement with the Buddha's teaching. The Buddha taught the lay people to be good if they want heaven, but ultimately the Buddhist path has much greater goal. It is freedom from all suffering and delusion, all other religions hold on to delusion in varying degrees. The Buddha taught how it is not like other religions and can not be said to teach the same things in the Shorter Discourse of the Lion's Roar Sutra

  • @TeaKettleBBQ Ok I agree that Buddhist religion can't be paired with any other religion. But when it comes to the topic of meat, I say every religion has "pros and cons." But it is up to us to be good in the sense doing good deeds (Dharma) and attain spirituality. One shall not criticize other's religion as you don't get anything from it. Be like a lotus in a pond.

  • @rohit5229 then one must be aware what one means when they say "pros and cons". Is this an everyday worldly view or the view of absolutes, that bad is suffering and good is the release from suffering? Because this is Samsara virtually no action can be made without incurring some bad karma and suffering, but least inflicted is best. People automatically think then that we should abstain from meat eating because the animal had to suffer... But the animal realm is heavy in suffering and it is..

  • (2nd part): likely that animal would have been eaten by another animal. It is also very difficult for animals to make merit. So would it be best for the animal to die by human hand and be eaten by a good person or to be consumed by another animal? In terms of merit, the merit gained by sustaining a human body rather than an animal body is much greater. Especially if it was the body of a spiritual practitioner. The Buddha did not teach vegetarianism, that came later. The Buddha told his monks not

  • to kill. Because karma of killing is very heavy. But they are to accept meat if given freely by alms givers. Again, all religions differ in what they say is good action. Some religions even say war and raping the virgins of the defeated army is good and holy if done in the name of their god. People do not criticize religions enough, many implant very evil seeds in people and are paths to hell. That is why the Buddha very openly criticized people's practices. One should expose and condemn evil.

  • @TeaKettleBBQ Absolutely agree! :)

In my religion, we also aren't taught to kill, but to defend (physically if necessary) those who cannot.

  • What is Buddha? What is not Buddha?

Buddha is not he, nor she, nor it, but thus....

    Buddha originally meant awakened/enlightened one.

A Buddha is like a flower, just like all life itself. Molecules come together and forms a life form, but then this life form dies and returns to the dust of particles. What is left in the end? What was this essence that hold it together?

  • @dg1000 the essence of nothing is our buddha nature ; ) thats why buddha teached at the end of his lessons the NOT buddha truth , there is no such thing as a buddha nature.

the essence of nothing, gives us a Godlike potential., namaste!

  • @dg1000 The Buddha is derived from the Sanskrit word "Buddh" that is one who has realized and realization here refers to the ultimate realization which allows salvation or Moksh!! And the one who have realized it all is THE BUDDHA,just like floats on water but the water cant soak it the Buddha similarly is devoid of all worldly connections which is again termed as Maya!!

  • @dg1000 Just a projection of mind !

  • I don't think that Buddhismus a kind of religion is, but a way to live :)

  • Brahma tried to disappear Buddha it never happened then Brahma felt embarrassed and very humble asked "why did you come all the way here?" Buddha replied "oh lord I just came to tell you that this is not the last heaven, above this one there are more heavens"

  • @Crecendos nice to read your story, sounds very correct, also some knowledge about the sephirothic tree of life can help understanding what you say. i wil google about buddha and brahma in the seventh sky, thanks.

  • did someone ever read the sutra of Buddha and Brahma in the seventh sky? well it goes something like this, according to some people the last level, realm, or dimension or whatever there is is the seventh.

So there was god Brahma sitting in the seventh heaven surrounded by devas or angels, then buddha appeared before him. Brahma was surprised and Buddha wanted to tell him something but Brahma said to all his angels or archangels "I will make buddha disappear" just to show my power and what't next

  • purity is in the lotus

  • I was drawn to the word "bodhisattva" and my whole body resonated as if electrified. I recall one such event that may correspond with this concept. Also words that have been perhaps" Spoken" to me are, but not limited to; Apotheosis, "Human Shield", Part of the lyrics to a song "Show me the power child, I've got to say, that I'm down on my knees today..." Can anyone relate to such things, or give me some insight as to what had been happening to me? Any assistance would be appreciated...

  • @PandorasFallen1 ask some buddhist monk then u may get your answer

  • @PandorasFallen1 the most i've ever felt since i am a buddhist is a great peace in my heart and great love for the others. No kidding

  • I would like to ask those that are familiar with buddism; Have you ever had a almost electrifing sensation through out the entire of your being, perhaps when reading a word? What is this? I felt as if it was resonating an absolute truth throughout my being. Do you ever have perhaps Spirits or Angels or God speak to you through the world around you, such as, but not limited to; Words, Concepts, Other peoples conversations, Music, Media, the weather, etc? And if so how are you to react?

  • @PandorasFallen1 I learned about Buddhism in prison. One night in my cell I was meditating on the eight fold noble path while reciting "om" and The strangest most beautiful feeling came over me. It kinda felt like all of hope just entered me and enlightened me, almost to a cerebral high, kinda like cocain on steroids. it lasted for about 5 minutes but feeling like hours. That was the best thing that I ever felt.

  • @whaaser That is very interesting as I may have been listening to this or a Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo chant while writing a letter to some one, I thought at the time that it was the love I felt to the person in whom I was writing but now you have me questioning. I asked God what that feeling was and heard in my mind "Elation" I had to look it up and here is what I got..."a feeling or state of great joy or pride; exultant gladness; high spirits." I cannot say what caused it...

  • @whaaser Here is part of what I wrote to describe it..."I then felt as if I was floating; as if I had but tasted heaven. I cannot say for how long I laid there in a seemingly absolute bliss. I tried to speak to God and could not seem to get one sentence out. I but uttered a word or so and fell back off into bliss. I can say that I do not believe I have ever experienced that feeling. It was almost as if I had taken some illicit drug or was experiencing all pleasant emotions at once."

  • @whaaser May you find the peace and enlightenment you seek. May your path be un obstructed except to teach and strengthen you. May wisdom, love and compassion grow greatly in your life.

  • @whaaser I feel happy for you. Continue to do so. :))
