Nice. As stated before, I've heard Mom will send you little parts for no cost. If you ever have to send it in for repair (free), they will return it with another mag (also free). I have a C9 and like it alot even though I've got quite a few other handguns. I like the TS carbines, but still like the 995.
Hey miller. I think you should go with the suppressor. As a matter of fact, you should put every bell and whistle possible on that thing just for shits and giggles. I love these little carbines and to see one completely pimped would be cool.
@millerusaf Really glad you did this video, one question though, I notice this doesn't have the standard tactical stock. Based on what I see however, dis-assembly is still essentially the same, even if you're using the tactical stock? Was curious since I'm a little nervous about taking the 995 apart for my 1500 round clean-up, and would be nice to use this vid for reference.
@vewdew3 Promag makes a 15 round, but I've heard it doesn't do so well in the ATI stocks without some shaving. Last I heard, Hi-Point will no longer honor the warranty if you put the ATI stock on it.
wow why did you have to use the first model? (jk)... i have a 995ts and a 945ts, and they are pretty reliable about 1200 rounds threw them both and no problems except for the low mag cap and constant reloading ! the promag 15 rounders are ok as long as you get the c model 15 round mags, any type prior to that and you have to bend the mag's lips out to alleviate feeding issues and so the bolt will hold open when empty..
I am buying either another one of these or a marlin camp 9 this week. keep em coming but be sure to change that stock out. thats a MUST. it's held together with goddamn hex bolts. thats cheaper than cheap man and like I said I have owned a handful of the 995's and the stock is their biggest fail.
Glad to see you doing some videos on this little carbine. I have to agree with a few other people, the newer stock is a bit prettier. I'd still like to piece together a bit more custom stock for one of these though.
Will you be playing with higher capacity magazines? Supposedly the feeding lips are the biggest issue with these little carbines. I eagerly await more posts on this ugly but useful little carbine.
Anyone know if custom stock design is a restricted practice these days?
i really wanna get a high point but its the whole take down that overwhelms me. i bought an ak because its easy to take down and clean and i will probably be buying a handgun next and will end up getting something that is as easy to clean and put back together like my ak
