James Hetfield truly is a trend setter, he asked ESP LTD to make that guitar for him and now all you see is people playing Metallica songs on that guitar. Good job playing man, obviously I'm 2 years late and I imagine you can play this flawlessly now.
@kh202lover Thank you for your comment, in the last news I played it well, but since October, 2010 I play battery so I play guitar a little less often:/ Sorry for my english !!
tahts why i want to do a pickup change on my guitar i mean the ibanez infninities sound great but actives don't give any signal feedback but the cost for me to change everythng with a 81/60 combo would be like 200 bucks $10 for the 3 way switch and $95 bucks for each pickup i also have to get rid of the single pickup on the guitar cause the config is h-s-h
@2346 i actually did something similar with my Ibanez RG370DX. it sounds absolutely awesome (i put the 81/85 combo in there, and i'm planning on putting an EMG S single coil in the middle).
i would recommend however, that you don't put the 81/60 in there if you wanna put a single coil in there. if you want an HSH design, get the 81TW, S, and 89 pickup in there. that gives you the ability to use the pickups in the split position with the S pickup. that's what i should have done originally.
@AirgunAddict256 nah dude im not putting emgs in my rg anymore im gettins a esp ec401 or ex401 saving up for if i ever change pickups on my rg im gonna put a dimarzio paf pro in the bridge
My ex-401 arrived yesterday. This guitar is badass bro. I have a lil 38W Fender frontman 15G and it sounds badass even on my amp. Im still trying to get used to the different balance and guitar shape but so far man this guitar is the shit.
oh and bro not saying you have to but i think youll find if you use your pinky instead of ur ring finger to play power chords it will take alot of stress off the hand and sliding. ho/po's will be alot easier to do too

Hey mate, what do you think about EMG 60? I will buy this guitar or LTD MH 400 NT, so EMG 81/60 vs. EMG 81/85.
FeelTheFight 2 years ago
I think EMG 60 is better than 85 for solo =D
13alou 2 years ago
And in clean part and solo do you use bridge or neck position?
FeelTheFight 2 years ago
EMG 81 + 60 for clean and EMG 60 for solos
13alou 2 years ago
Ok, thanks a lot ; P
