  • Holy shit the endings awesome...

  • Searching through Bjork tunes atm. Have to say this is the best so far :)

  • @rammsteinTOtheMAX dont listen to it then? :)

  • @rammsteinTOtheMAX and rammstein is better? hahaha

  • Why fight about it who's the better artist? Just enjoy the music. Nobody asked for your opinion.

  • Bjök TE AMO!

  • hm the video doesnt make justice to the song

  • the last part reminds me of Xavier Renegade Angel for some reason

  • where is the replay button? thumbs up if you agree

  • @serenadeyuki On Firefox.

    : D

  • two brilliant people with two amazing voices, sublime!!!

  • Her beauty is neverending...and this song's beauty as well...

  • 相変わらずキモいな。

    だが最高だ。

  • when i get bored, i read youtube comments

  • Anyway, all that shit aside, what a feckin shit hot song; Desire. In a complex nut shell.

  • Bjork defies many things that I hold dear to me in terms of my knowledge of vocal music, her phrasing for example is not technically clever, but she pulls it off so convincingly that I wonder; what is the point in learned musicianship.

  • Oh my god, Antony?!?!?!?!? I recognised his voice instantly. I love Bjork but ... I can't believe I hadn't noticed this.

  • @xmaster2 Lol same! :D

  • How can you sound gay? And this has been my favorite song off the album since the day Volta came out. I never considered it gay at all. Then again, some people think Bjork sounds like a retarded seagull. But she's been my favorite since I was born.

I also like Lady Gaga. But I don't really like comparing them, its kinda pointless.

  • Thank you Björk for making me discover Anthony :D

  • This is an ace vid

  • muito boa essa musik...demais

  • this is no lady gaga song. lol.

  • The last sequence is my favorite.

  • @SebastienCade Oops. Sorry, I meant that one for Wittgensteinism.

  • @SebastienCade Antony is an amazing vocalist, and whether he lisps or not is not important. What is important is his impact on music in general, and I think he's made a major and beautiful impact on a stale and homogenized music industry. I WANT to hear a voice that doesn't sound like every other voice out there. What's wrong with a little originality? I'm just going to come out and say it. Pointing out his lisp as a negative because it sounds like a gay lisp TO YOU, is homophobic.

  • Ugh! I LOVE ANTONY IN THIS!

  • lady who?

  • who is the other singer in this?

  • @lulubells4her who 's the other singer? He's good.

  • @Dramactica Antony Hegarty

  • tienen razon....a quien le importa LADY MIERDA>>>

  • lady gaga and bjork are completely different, lady gaga symbolizes the stupidity of society and bjork symbolizes humanity

  • ok i love lady gaga, but i love bjork too,and idk why everyone compares them, they are totally different.,lady gaga has talent too,but it doesnt mean shes better than bjork becuase she really isnt

  • Que belleza de mujer! Que Voz! Que Talento!

  • hey whats the name of the guy singing!?

  • Comment removed

  • @jessiemaynay Antony Hagarty....

  • @jessiemaynay Hoho, technically, not a guy...~

  • Bjork is pure beauty.

  • nice!!!

  • WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE KEEP MENTIONING LADY GAGA IN BJORK VIDEOS? could there be two more different people on the planet? geez.

  • @poeticjournalism I second that, It's just plain insulting to put that blonde bimbo in the same sentence as Björk.

  • @poeticjournalism Oh My God! It's what I always keep wondering myself... why the fuck do people always have to compare Gaga with any singer??? And compare to Bjork.. it's impossible!!!! I have nothing else to say about that! Tiny mind people get me sick

  • @poeticjournalism bjork is legend nothink lady gaga one true legend she is

  • @poeticjournalism for real! that talentless hack...bleach blondes... *rolls eyes*

  • @poeticjournalism Why compare American trash to something like this lol..

99,99 of the music created 2000/2011outta darn Americano music is shit!!

    including Lady GaGa.

  • @poeticjournalism well i guess bjork has more in common with gaga than with bieber...?

  • @poeticjournalism remember dude don't feed the troll let's praise bjork and that's all n.n

  • @poeticjournalism Not that different in some aspects—both female musicians, feminists and pro-gay-rights, and involved in making the world a better place. They both have a taste for fashion and marrying amazing viosuals to their work. Björk says she likes Gaga (though her music leaves her cold) and I'm, pretty sure Gaga loves Björk.

But at the same time, yeah, it's so annoying. Worst thing is, it starts because of the ignorant Björk fans who go all “THIS B MUSIC NOT GAGA LOLOL”.

  • @Johnny123456789x I mean, I can see a few similarities, but what I was annoyed by was what you mentioned in that second paragraph of yours. As if there weren't any better compliments to give Bjork's music, other than to say "BETTER THAN GAGA OR BIEBER". Also, there's the fact that this was, like, the fifth video I went to where that was the top comment lol

  • wtf , why people compare bjork to gaga , no fucking sense its like

    orange and apple

  • @BigOleNastyFish I was about to write something like this but then i saw this comment , well said

  • @PozytywnyWojciech tnks :D

  • @BigOleNastyFish thank you...some people think they know music instead they compare the least similar artist..its just stupid

  • I love this song so much ... omg this is best then an orgasm

  • this is absolute the worst song & video of bjork!

  • whats up with u guys talking about lady gaga! lol we are watching bjork! XD

  • the last part of the video is great, although the sng is too long and the melody is lacking..the middle part of the song when antony is singing is breathtaking!!

  • i always cry at the guy's part around 2:52 *beautiful* just speechless

  • I like both Bjork AND Lady Gaga. The only real similarity they have is that they're both considered out there and unique. But they ahve completely different styles of single, styles in general, sing about completely different thing have both have a voice.

  • @wearefruitcakes thank you someone who doesnt have to bash anyone else in their comments

  • where do you com up with these idea's

  • Syka,KLASSNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nuts. full of emotion

  • the power this song gives in your headphones is nuts. how can you not let your soul go and go for the ride? Brian Chippendale nailed the drums on this.

  • I like this. It is unusual. Kinda Nordic and Wagnerian. I have never heard the guy before but his voice captivates me. Her songs are more like paintings then pop music, and she takes me to places I've never been before in ways I wouldn't imagine.

  • I don't care what anybody say about this vid or song. This has GOT to be ONE of the best of Bjork.

And who cares who's gay in it?

    EVERONE IS CREATED EQUAL!!!

  • i fucking love this song is simply amaizing!!!

  • I think his voice sounds great with this song, who cares if it sounds "gay", that doesn't even come to mind when listening to this. It's artistic, and the quality and dramatic part of this song is what should really matter.

  • How amazing....?

  • Hey WittgenBlahblah (whatever the fuck your name is), Antonys good, get a fucking grip of your homophobia (Thom York ain't as good), I'm an ex-british soldier, Gulf war yada yada and not gay but can appreciate talent.

  • @davidtodd what does being a soldier have to do with anything?

  • @Wittgensteinism I was going to leave you a nasty comment, but I decided it wasn't necessary. You succeeded in making yourself sound like idiot.

  • @bigbronzespider Hey, she sang with Thom York on Selmasongs, but this guy is horrendous. It's laughable. At least Thom York is someone in the same ball park as Bjork. This song is beyond silly; its downright ridiculous. You sound like a fag-enabler..lol (westboro baptist church reference! what up!)

  • @Wittgensteinism

What in the HELL? Who sings with a "gay lisp"? He may sing with a lisp (which does NOT mean gay, dumbass) but his voice is very beautiful. That's why she did a duet with him, I don't think his sexual orientation even crossed her mind. How narrowminded can you be if the first thought you have when listening to this song is that the guy sounds gay, he sounds like himself. End of story. Goodness.

  • @SebastienCade Who sings with a gay lisp? This guy does. And i'm sorry, there's a big different between a lisp and a gay lisp, which btw merely pointing out that it sounds gay isn't an insult unless you consider the term "gay" to mean something insulting, which apparently you do. I don't think it's an insult to recognize something as sounding gay because i'm using it in a descriptive sense, not a normative one. My normative claim comes afterwards, simply because the singing is terrible...

  • @Wittgensteinism

Oh please, if you were using it in a "descriptive" sense you wouldn't have brought up his orientation to begin with. His lisp is how he speaks, it doesn't automatically mean gay. And no there is not a difference in a lisp and a "gay lisp", your ignorance just shines through when you talk.

Don't listen to the song if it's such a big deal, my entire point is that Bjork never considered the orientation, she loves his voice. If you don't then that's you.

  • @SebastienCade What an incredibly stupid response. If i were using it in a descriptive sense why would i bring up his orientation? Cause it's part of the description! And i suppose we'll just have to disagree on the other empirical statement that all lisps sound the same i.e. the lisp a gay person uses and the lisp a straight person has. If you can't hear the difference, i would say that's systemic of the quality of your audio pallet. & thx 4 pointing out that my opinion is my opinion. How inane

  • @Wittgensteinism

Just grow up and realize a persons orientation has nothing to do with their voice and/or singing abilitly. Their voice is how they speak, it has nothing to do with their sexual preference.

And no we wont disagree that a gay lisp is the same as a straight one, because a lisp is a LISP, that's it. No orientation has anything to do with it. You didn't give an opinion, you said you didn't like his "gay lisp". That's the incredibly stupid response. Enjoy yourself.

  • @SebastienCade "And no we wont disagree that a gay lisp is the same as a straight one, because a lisp is a LISP, that's it."

Well, okay. I guess we can't disagree beause you say so. And nice reasoning btw---"because a lisp is a lisp". Well, in the spirit of tautologies: When you're right, you're right. Except when you're wrong, which would be now.

As for me saying i didn't like his lisp, i'm sorry that doesn't fit your criteria for an opinion. Is calling my response stupid also not an opinion?

  • @SebastienCade It's obvious you got carried away trying to defend homosexuality against, what must have appear to be, a homophobic comment. Sorry you can't tell the different between calling a paticular person's singing voice "horrible" and denegrating an entire group of people. Next you'll tell me that because i don't like Al Sharpton that i'm a racist.

Anyway, i don't hate gays, i am gay. How ironic is it that you're tryin to defend gays against a gay, when i never said anything bad about em?

  • @Wittgensteinism

I didn't defend homosexuality, you blatantly said you didn't like his "gay" lisp then went on to say that theres a difference between the average lisp and a homosexual one.

I don't care if you're homosexual or not, his sexuality should have never been mentioned. That was my entire point; gay, straight, bi, trans whatever. Has nothing to do with singing ability/voice. Don't be narrow minded and assume I'm attacking, only educating ;)

  • @SebastienCade I appriciate the attempt, but i'm afraid your efforts have gone to waste. I wasn't attacking homosexuality, only HIS voice. There are gay singers that actually sound good, so i'm not attacking specifically the homosexual aspect per se, i'm just mentioning, as a descriptive fact, that his lisp sounds like a homosexual lisp, and that he doesn't pull it off, to put it mildly. It's really just the sound of his voice more than anything. It sounds ridiculous. I can't help but to laugh

  • @SebastienCade word!!!!

  • for J!

  • for J!

  • 3:40 ....sooo cuteee ^-^

    i loves thisss

  • his lisp really annoys me. great song otherwise, but ughhh.....

  • Comment removed

  • Omg. This is the only song I really liked in this album.

  • That was amazing, thumbs up

  • bjork is so beautiful here !!!

  • This duet is one of the best i've heard in a long time, their voices just mess so well

  • genius

  • BORING

i miss the vespertine and homogenic era.

  • well at least in europe music is still alive!

  • Nice song, weird video. In spite of the musicians' faces being in the video (which generally happens a lot), it still manages to be original. That's great.

  • What is it with these brainwashed people who have to mention Lady Gaga in response to visionary musical artists? Is it because she wears silly suits? Oh, ok. Got it. If that's the only reference you can bring up when talking about Bjork's music, you need to do some homework.

  • @madsketcher

    agreed

  • Bjork looks good with a 4 o'clock shadow.

  • @madsketcher Err, 5 o'clock shadow, even.

  • ....this whole video is like a flame that keeps going out...

...Very Beautifully done.... As always expected from Bjork :)

  • Mikerlay@ excellent comment!

    Epic!

  • weird. vid.

  • i wonder if bjork is iamamiwhoami type that into youtube and see iff you agree.

  • bjork is sooo original. she doesnt seek mega fame or anything like that, she just 100% bjork.

  • GaGa??? NO COMPARISON!

  • cutiee :Dlove her

  • awesome

  • I don't know why people like lady gaga...I mean, do people realize Bjork is the real deal!!!!

  • @wuhdye dude ladygaga = negative, devil

    Bjork= life, positive, etc

  • @wu0hdye lady gaga = idiot people

  • @wuhdye

    exactly.

the only thing they could do

was complain about her swan dress.

björk is the original, her musicality is unique,

and she was ahead of time!

if only gaga was making better music, the masses would actually finally listen to something good. if only.

  • @lavenderinjune I totally agree with you. I think maybe problem is that, Lady gaga consider herself as an artist. But in what way?? her song is not avant garde. Her lyric doesn't have deep meaning.... (just telling people to be yourself is an artist?)By dressing like that and sing meaningless lyric means art ? and I remember in the beginning people hated her music on youtube. But it was the radio which played her song again and again and stick her song in our brain.

  • @wuhdye you're right Lady Gaga should be bowing down to Bjork

  • @5botball I know!

  • @wuhdye people like artificial empty words and gimmicky products because most people that constitute our society are soulless products that have the essence of themselves that's why they listen to gaga. Not much we can do

  • @Lucifer986 Yes people who follow the trend is sad. I learn art in school and I never consider Lady gaga as an artist....I mean? what is she talking about. I have seen art that is more shocking more meaningful than her pointless meaningless lyric. (about her love, men and sexuality???) I get sad when people can't hear a lot of REAL music, not just bjork but other great musicians as well. Thank you Lucifer986 for sharing your thought.

  • @wuhdye who the hell said your such an expert. no one cares if you think she isnt an artist. i dont think some paintings or sculptures are art but others do. art isnt defined as a certain thing. and it IS real music. some people do folloe the trend but most of her fans are people that get her message. and half of the people in the world dont like lady gaga so why do you say like everyone likes her. she isnt a trend she is an actual artist. she sings unlike most and makes creative stuff. back off

  • @boblansy go read art history and music history....read about theory about pop culture.... you really think she has the money to make those outfit in the beginning in the poker face video? like singer can really decide what they wear in the beginning? REALLY?do you know how music industry runs? I am sorry i don't find music that talks about sex and sex and fame is meaningful. it's overdone. There is still a lot of issues in the world to talk about by not repeating the same lyric so many times.

  • @wuhdye uh yea she does because if you would research her you would see she has been dressing that way waaaaaay before she got famous. cheaper but the same way. yes i do know how the music industry runs but that doesnt mean you have to give in. if you make them money thats all that matters no? and quit fucking talking about her fame era, she is done with that and has gone to deeper stuff and even so, you or no one gets to decide what art is. her songs are maeningful to her and others.

  • Comment removed

  • @boblansy she can sing but not well, a lot better than other pop singer. she can play? I know so many people who play better than her....she can make music? oh yeah, sounds like 90s Euro techno? haha. oh yeah ? lyric is simple and repetitive.

  • @wuhdye

you don't know about music, don't you

  • @wuhdye just cause you dont find them meaningful doesnt mean there shit. and issues? she has said before, she isnt a preacher so why is she gonna talk about that kind of stuff. and do you know how much she has done for gay rights. just cause you dont think that is an issue doesnt mean it isnt for anyone else. the world doesnt fucking revolve around you.

  • @wuhdye she is one of the few very talented artist out there, atleast she can sing, play the piano, MAKE DECISIONS FOR HERSELF.make a great show. revive pop music. why cant you just praise her for what she DOES do if your dumb ass still wants to believe she isnt art. i bet if she wasnt mainstream, you would think differently. but think... she MADE dance music mainstream in the US. and talk about repeating the same lyric so many times haha.

  • @wuhdye uhm, lady gaga is the real deal too.

  • @boblansy Gaga is a joke.

  • @LiberalPonder your the joke. if you dont like her then just stfu. theres no need to bring gaga up in a bjork video so why do it. tahts right because people are jealous. otherwise they wouldnt bring her up and just talk about how great bjork is. whatever. if people actually did some research and actually listened to what she says, they would think differently. her songs have sex in them cause thats what sells, but there are CLEAR alternate meanings to the songs and also in her videos.

  • @boblansy nah I'm just fed up of it, that's all. Besides, it's the shallow minded gaga fans that are bringing up the comparisons. May I also ask what part of her is 'real deal'? The only lyrical phrases that are ringing in my head from her are 'I'm educated in sex', 'I wanna take a ride on your disco stick'. - To me this is promiscuous and low. I don’t care if it ‘sells’ it's still a joke, and she knows it.

  • @LiberalPonder uhn everything is the "real deal" and like she said, if you listened to the whole song and do some research, then you would be able to talk. but it sounds like your just another ignorant hater. if you listened to the whole song you would see the song is about do you want love or do you want the fame. and i guess thats the only stupid example people have cause thats the only song i hear pepole talk about when they say shit about her.

  • @LiberalPonder how about using her newer songs that actually have a deeper meaning to them. how about the message that she gives to her fans to always love who you are and dont hide it. about loving themselves and helping some kids that are on the verge of killing themselves.seriously get educated before you say anything about anyone. she always uses metpahors in her songs to make you think. and she even tells you the meanings to her songs so i dont know why you still talk like that.

  • @boblansy There is nothing 'deep' about her lyrics dear.

Just some bunch of meaningless lines exploiting sexual pleasures.

It’s a plastic orgy at its best. :)

  • @LiberalPonder sorry dear but if you were actually smart you would see what she is saying "dear". she sings about love just like bjork , the way you want to express it is their choice. and a plastic orgy?? wow stupid choice of words. her lyrics are smart and have her heart in them. whether you see it or not. lots of people dont but also lots of people do. just cause your dumbass doesnt see anything beyond it doesnt mean people who do are followers. looks like you chose the wrong screen name too

  • @boblansy

no, she isn't. Her music is a backwards of the electric 80's and 70's.

  • @wuhdye Most of the people who love Lady Gaga don't know who Bjork is.

  • @wuhdye People don't realise anything unless it's shoved in their face by million dollar marketing campaigns. People are idiots.

  • @wuhdye oh my God they do not sing the same songs. different genre so just shut up and listen to the music ok and stop looking for anyone to hate gaga with u...its low for u and just a stupid idea!!!!

  • @wuhdye stop saying her freaking name.... aaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!

  • oh Bjork I love you.

  • beck!!

  • Remarkable

  • amazing

  • Bjork always picks the best guys to sing/collaborate with...Just like Thom Yorke,Antony Hegarty's voice goes so well with hers!

  • @sirsniffy don`t forget Mike Patton

  • I love how crazy she is. It makes her music more enjoyable and her videos always leave me thinking.

  • great video and song

  • bjork como sempre maravilhosa!!!

  • WOW!

  • I love her eyes in all three 'videos'. Based on a Fyodor Tyutchev poem, interpreted in her inimitable style. And so like her to allow the video to be created by 'unknowns'. A true artiste

  • I'm amazed every time! Bjork is amazing...

  • no, i cant be bored with Her music & voice, it doesnt matter how many times & how many forms I listen for Her...

  • bjork ist keine sängerin sondern ein gesammtkunstwerk !

  • I love bjork music videos. I never know what to expect :D

  • Amazing coupling and Amazing song! One of bjork's finest works!

  • this is one of her best songs of this decade.

  • I always dreamed to directed a music video for Bjork..

these directors had my dream come true..

    maybe someday...i will

    love Bjork...

  • Unbelievable! There is actually someone who can sing next to Björk without sounding terribly. ^^

  • mike patton did it too

  • awesome vid, great concept, 2 become 1 right? maybe im wrong but hell, cool track.

  • When was this relised ? I didn´t know they´ve done a song together. It´s amazing how great their voices sound together.

    Love björk

  • fuuuuuckkiinnggg amazingg thats why i love bjork so much, T_T.

  • Bjork is the quintessential artiste! Along with Antony she just makes me fall in love with her and her music all over agaain! Just like 1998, when I saw her perform at synphony hall here in San Diego! Come back little icelandic queen to our sunny beautiful Diego, Cali!

  • i like the video the effects they had in it were pretty awesome

cant say the same about the music though

    .... just saying

  • Holy shit, I didn't realise Antony was in it

He's my most favourite artist and she's a close second. this is a treat :-)

  • what a strange video!!!

Did you know that the album versionis about seven and a half minutes?!
