  • Cameron Undermines New Treaty

  • Dear Mr Cameron, my family have been "labour" voters, for years.. i would like to say "how pleased most of the u/k must be for your veto..also, please keep our laws, and British Monarchy..and you've got my vote.. forreal! well done sir! on behalf of disillusioned, brits/labour voters.

  • this guy is labour in sheeps.......he could have easily won without the need for

libdems.......all he had to do was to give us a referendum on europe.......but he would

rather lose than do that ......he is no tory.........i will call him " red cam "

  • David Cameron=21st century Neville Chamberlain

  • webconuk.

Surely no-one still believes this pathetic puppet show? And I don't mean just Cameron, I mean all of them. They are there to provide the illusion of "power", of "government". They run NOTHING.

  • Just confirms the old adage:

    Q. "How can you tell when a politician is lying"

    A. "Their lips move"

Even on matters as serious as our sovereignty and democracy.

  • Stable door... bolted.

  • I've heard this before.

  • We are to late now that treaty had it all Briton is no longer sovereign

  • Look hear: Any party backed by PooBeart Murdoch - whether Condemn's Nastzi Party or Con-light labour; what more can I say. PS. David Cameron, the first prime Minister to give his wiffie Cunnilingus ! Hurrah !!

  • Hear hear! Lets have this legislation then, eh?

  • Never let it happen again? It's too bloody late, to never let it happen again. You sold us out.

  • What I don't understand is this: Britain has never really "liked" being in the EU, they never really had a great relationship with the continental European countries.

Why did they not try and form a Union with the english speaking countries. Nowadays distance doesn't play a big role anymore but a common heritage helps. I just can't understand why they aren't making an effort to create something like that. Plus it would probably be more stable than the EU.

  • @justtakeiteasy This guy's a laugh a minute.

  • @justtakeiteasy

    1. The current economic crisis has made me more likely to support Britain joining the Euro

    Agree- 31% : Disagree- 64%

    2. Britain benefits overall from membership of the European Union in terms of jobs and trade

    Agree- 44% : Disagree- 51%

    3. Britain should leave the EU but maintain close trading links

    Agree- 55% : Disagree- 41%

    4. The British people should decide in a vote before Britain transfers any further power to the European Union

    Agree- 84% : Disagree- 13%

  • Anything less than a straight in or out referendum merely compounds the treason committed by Ted Heath.

The pastel-shirted Steve Hilton, Mr "light touch", as competent as Gormless McRuin and as Tory as Polly Toynbee, should have stayed in his jacuzzi in California. The Tory campaign is a litany of missed open goals, gaffes, mood music masquerading as policy and a pathological fear of being cast as the "nasty" party.

You've lost us. We've been betrayed. It's UKIP this end, I'm afraid.

  • @luciendelapeste at last ! the penny has dropped......its time to go to the fringes to put tory , lib-dem and lab on

    fringes....

  • haha. He thinks he has one already! what a fool

    pm-davidcameron [dot] com

  • Don't trust any party, even Labour. Every party lies to us at some point.

  • @BRITLEGEND77 Sooo agree - It's time for real change and that require say bye bye to the Tories and Labour...Time for some fresh talent. It would be far better if it was Greens/Lib Dem vs UKIP/BNP - some real choice and variety in opinion and all of them have drive and a sense of urgency lab and con lack.

  • Another fail for me on the working time directive...These Eu regulations are a good thing but Britian deliberatly chooses to adopt that and not the reccomend pay adjustments that come with it to ensure people don't lose money - very true for lorry drivers. YOu want us working to the bone where as European ideas want us on 30 hours a week so we have more time to enjoy life. The whole Uk government has been our enemy on this - on this matter Europe cares and you dont.

  • Fuck the EU we do NOT want to be a part of that power grabbing union we never should have joined in the first place i hope we leave it soon if UKIP were in power we wud be out of there we want to trade with europe but not be in it

  • Stupid spineless mentally inferior little shit.

Politicians should be threatening all out fucking war against the european union for trying to bullying britain into cooperating with its master plan.

He wont threaten war because he is a spineless little idiot. A good politician should be a general. This guy isn't a general, he is a clown.

The only party who actually have the guts to stick it to the EU are the BNP.

The only thing 'dave' sticks it to is his ass with a badger.

  • @justtakeiteasy .immigration needs to be reduced back to the old limit.simple.its destroying our country among other things.

  • The Tory Policy on Europe is a sham - Vote UKIP!

  • Even a 1st year EU student will tell you all that based on the legal ties with UK and EU he cant achieve this. And yea, referendum work rite ,NO, They'll keep having them till they get the result they want: case study: Ireland. An yea, a piece of info 4 you, lisbon treaty is more or less the written form of how the EU courts have been changing the laws so far. The president thing is just for admin. they don't last long enuf to turn tyrannical i.e hilter(ish)lol

  • Labour > Conservatives. Dave is a twat.

  • @TTAwesome /labour is the most awful party i have ever seen, lazy idiots like you living off welfare is killing us.

  • @ma98h

I have a job and i'm at University. Retards like you who pander to what the media says without looking up the actual facts is what's killing the country.

  • David Cameron is no different to labour, nothing noticable will change as long as this type of traitor remains in power.

  • This is a good policy, but serious changes need to be made if it is to work. The EU lacks basic democracy in its structure, and is fast becoming a superstate. If this policy is implemented properly, then it'll work. If not, then the only option is to leave the EU completely.

  • SO WE JOIN THE NAZI PARTIES!!! way to go duller than dull.

This is the 21st century boys. Get over your little public school boy, 'lets regain the empire' crap. It's bad enough that Hugh Grant represents Britain to the world. The last thing we need is you.

  • @batttyboi Did you watch the video at all? Battyboi indeed.

  • @batttyboi I must have missed the bit where someone suggested we regain the Empire.

And while we're on the subject of Nazis, Hitler must be kicking himself in his grave. If only he'd thought of imposing a pan-European dictatorship by stealth.

What do you have against democracy anyway?

  • This video made me think. Why the fuck is David Cameron alive when so much shit comes out of his mouth, does that not suffocate his rat head.

  • not bad for a man who get s a £1,000 a mounth from the tax payer to pay his council tax and £800 a mounth to pay his morgage from the tax payer ah poor we sole

  • @justtakeiteasy

I dont know about being an economic superpower. I dont think the EU will be in the same league as America, Britain before 1945 and China in this century. There are just too many internal differences as ive already stated and i think if Turkey joined the EU then that would be the beginning of the end for the Union. I would much rather the union was an economic than a political one. That was what it was originally and thats what it should go back to.

  • @justtakeiteasy

Greece is in trouble because it has such a large public debt burden that is crippling on its economy. Like you said the government is deeply unpopular already and its like Britain in the 1970's. But its problems would be reduced if it could lower interest rates and devalue its currency. Thats the problem- while it is in the Euro it is tied to what suits the German and French economy. Britain has managed to take the first part of that action successfully.

  • @justtakeiteasy

Workers from EU countries (who contribute nothing), rather than the skilled workers who can contribute to Britain, the burden on public services can be reduced thereby freeing up capital to spend on hospitals, schools etc. Also, in the long term if immigration is encouraged to stop labour shortages now then in the future we will have a large elderly population and we are already struggling to afford pensions. Note i do not read the Daily Mail, i read a quality newspaper.

  • @justtakeiteasy

Well many immigrants are employed on the minimum wage which drives down pay for other citizens across Britain as employers will not pay the high wages that we in Britain are used to. This ultimately means a reduction in living standards. Britain has one of the highest population densities on Earth- immigration places a burden on housing, public services that all cost money when it looks as if public spending needs to be cut dramatically and by stopping immigration of unskilled

  • Well said AKLA ,this is a point that often gets overlooked. I hate it when you hear middle upper class people advocating immigration for 'cheap labour'. It's about time the minimum wage was reviewed, it's a joke, and it's pitiful slave labour.

  • @justtakeiteasy

Ironic. Do you not think that immigration (that has increased significantly since 2004) from the EU is a bad thing in the long term? The fact is that the BNP, as a result of discontent in working class areas over immigration, have seats in the EU Parliament and may get seats at a General Election. I do not support any BNP policy. I would rather that the government have an ability to control EU immigration as and when circumstances dictate rather than the current EU open door.

  • @justtakeiteasy

Joining the Euro wouldnt have prevented this economic crisis - my point is that if we had the Euro the effects of the recession would be far worse akin to Ireland and Greece. Look at what has happened there to their economies- if they had still had their own currency then they would have been able to take action that would have lessened the effects of the economic crisis such as lowering interest rates like the Bank of England has done. Part of the problem for them is the Euro!

  • Perhaps when Israel allows countless millions of non whites to immigrate into that country we can talk.

Nothing wrong with immigration? What about all the extra crime? less jobs? More congestion on our roads? Us not wanting to have our country invaded with limitless numbers of foreigners?

Unlimited immigration is causing needless misery.

  • We wouldnt be able to compete with other emerging nations as our economic and political influence would be severely weakened if we joined the Euro. The Eurozone just does things to suit what Germany and France want. That is why Greece and Ireland are suffering badly. What suits them often doesnt suit us. The pound has served us well and i think it would be foolish to get rid of it. Immigration may have some benefits in the short term, but in the long term immigration is not good for Britain.

  • The EU is not the future- there are too many cultural, legal, economic differences and too many countries to make it work. The Euro would have been disastrious for Britain in the economic crisis (interest rates that are too high as it has been for Ireland and Greece. The rise in immigration is creating social differences that allows parties like the BNP to be elected democratically and gain support. Another reason not to support the EU! I'd much rather look to America rather than the EU.

  • The Conservative Election Campagn got off to a good Start!

Watch the campaign "Airbrushed for Change"

  • Conservative and labour are almost identical, politically-correct, pro-immigration, pro-EU etc. etc. Nothing noticable will change so long as these traitor parties remain in power. They are the ones who have ruined Britain, no white person in their right mind should vote for these traitors.

  • Labour promised all this in the last election. It would be funny if it weren't so serious. This circus I mean. 'Ready For Change' it's so irksome and cringeworthy. The constant lies. You lot think we're stupid were onto you. There is one party, which ever labels on the tin. We don't want you Cameron, or your royal lineage. We're abjectly sick and tired of being thieved from and surpressed, technology being surpressed, other nations being robbed and invaded. Jailtime, thats where it's heading.

  • We won't stand under The Lisbon Treaty, The EU or even you. You're giving credence to something we didn't vote for, like we're not going to vote for you, but you'll still get in the hotseat David won't you. We want the people who are REALLY in power out! Not the desk clerk / PR Officer

  • Do a youtube search for "The Outlaw Gordon Brown"

It's a great song about the PM

  • labour promised all this in the last election. if you want to truely get out of the EU watch nigel farage on you tube.

    I will be voting UKIP

  • @NewLabour1 We don't need an act of Parliament to "grant" us rights that have been ours for centuries.

The Human Rights Act is typical, woolly-headed, divisive socialist meddling.

  • Grammar schools in the most disadvantged areas only. 3. Boost funding to vital R +R in the NHS, money available for treatments and drugs. Walk in centres are fantastic, I agree but there are pressing matters that are being ignored in healthcare. Finally, relocalise the economy, boost funding for small businesses, brake up the banks and create seperate regulations for supermarkets and chainstores.

  • The EU has done nothing but tear away any restrictions on predatory multinationals so they can run riot over Europe. Just look at Tesco's activity in Poland and Hungary. Also there is the issue of an EU military. Do we really need another super-power, military alliance to further antaganise the whole world? You ask me what my solutions to these issues would be. 1. Dismantle NATO, Trident and resist any advances toward an EU army. 2. Scrap tuition fees the national curriculum. Reintroduce

  • is going down. New Labour also still suffer from an Old Labour obsession; that education should always be seen as nothing but a way to get a good job. It's actually insulting to working class kids that the government deems a purely edifying experience to be a luxury for the rich. I don't see how putting up fees make for a more equal society. As for the topic at hand in this video, the EU why is it that a left wing party is so vehmently pro a neoliberal, capitalist organisation?

  • I think the situation with University education is disgusting. We do not get what we pay for. I have just six contact hours per week, yet the Vice Chancellor wants me to pay £7,000 a year for less and less. The high numbers of people attending University is not all good either. Schools and the government encourage taking on huge personal debt and dupe undergraduates that a degree will guarentee them a better life. This is misleading as with such a high volume of graduates the worth of a degree

  • I will turn the tables if the tables need turning. You had the arrogance to accuse me of racism and being a far right person (despite the fact I joined the UAF and am against the BNP, hmm), purely on the basis of my dislike of anti-white racism. You didn't bother to even ask if I was against anti-black racism too (not that even that would be justified), you just made a nasty comment that shows your contempt for white people, regardless of whether you are white yourself

  • Don't call me, or suggest that I'm, far right, racist, or any other negative term just because you have a problem with white people. You have PROVEN that in your knee-jerk "he's against all forms of racism, not just anti-black racism" type of response. And the fact that you would think like that makes it clear you hate white people. So you're colour prejudiced if not racist. But I still love you

  • we are one of the most watched democratic nations in the world and the retirment age is going up and up and up while the state pension goes down and down and down. Lastly, please stop useing "white elitist" as an arguement. I've been on the frontline against the BNP and the NF be it at counter rallies or campaigning door to door on election day this year. No one here has expressed any views which would support the BNP so stop talking about it as they are not relevent to this debate.

  • a corrupt, greedy, immoraland tyranical economic system, where the will of people is trampled by sharholders, transnational corporations and bankers is most definately not. As for your examples of what New Labour has done right, which are flakey to say the least, how is it that we have better education when tuitions fees are rising and exist at all, when the UK has one of the worst cancer survival rates in the western world and is spending less than other EU countries. As for quality of life

  • It's not very Labour to think that economic globalisation is "nice". Your arguement as ever is hardly convincing. In regard to your prediction I'd say the world is already there and has been for some time. 2008 was not the first time the American banking system has brought the entire world to it's knees. You seem to be in favour of economic globalisation because of a willingness to see tolerance and understanding and celebration of other cultures. This is comendable but supporting

  • As for Cameron here, what a spineless weasal! I'm not anti the idea of European unity, I think it's vital for our survival. But Cameron doesn't care about this huge, neoliberal alliance. People go on about Polish cleaners coming into the country. Try Santander being able to buy up our entire banking sector or supermarket chains (including most prominatly Tesco) being able to spread easily across Europe like a plague. No one, including UKIP care about these real issues of the EU.

  • I have to ask you again justtakeiteasy, what are these "vast improvements" you talk of? New Labour have done some things right but where does the word "vast" become qualified?

  • I love how you make random assumptions just because I happen to believe that people should be treated equally. The only reason I ever read the Daily Mail is out of boredom, as they make up some funny shit. I generally read more sensible papers. But you've laready exposed yourself as a racist and ignorant, so I'm not going to bother with you.

  • Also Labour has no chance of being reelected. And what leader are you talking about? Are you on drugs or something? I never mentioned anyone like you described. I'm guessing, due to your ignorance and love of racism, you are assuming I'm a member of the BNP, as you seem to have just described Nick Griffin. You missed out rapist-loving for him too.

  • Now how did I know you were going to say something like that if I didn't justify the fact that I don't like anti-white racism? As much, incidentally, as I don't like anti-black racism. So clearly, since far right parties are generally racist, and I don't like any form of racism, I'm clearly a far right party member. Just because someone has a problem with anti-white racism, that does not make them racist - YOU are being racist by your obvious love of racism against white people

  • ignorance? Well if researching parties, seeing what they've said they'll do and won't do - and what they've actually done after that, and actually looking what the other parties do and don't offer... is ignorant, then I guess I'm extremely ignorant. I never said VIOLENT dictator, look up the definition of dictator

  • No, voting for a lying, sly party, that has run roughshod over our rights and freedoms, that allows legalised anti-white and anti-English discrimination to go on, that allows male infants to still be mutilated for no medical reason, that wastes loads of money, that acts like a fascist dictator... is a very very bad choice

  • not if people like you stop thinking like that... then none of the crap parties will win. I'd rather vote for someone and keep my conscioence clear, than deliberately vote for someone bad just because lots of other people will. Voting Labour is ridiculous

  • besides that, whatever Labour promises is irrelavent, as it's going to be lies anyway.

  • Not if people like you stop thinking like that, they won't win then.

I'd rather vote for someone knowing I agree with what they say, than deliberately vote for a nasty party just because lots of other people will. Unless I run for PM myself, I'm probably gonna vote Greens.

  • 6th Jan 2010

PMQs ended with Cameron embarrassed and at times face in his hands.

All his points back fired and he achieved nothing via damaging Labour. It actually ended with damaging Conservative front bencher's showing his Leadership is a joke.

    Don't Trust a Tory

    Trust Labour

    Vote Labour

  • @justtakeiteasy I bloody hope not

  • Brown is so shite I would be prepared to accept any alternative at the moment....yes even Cameron. Labour and Tory are very much a chip of the same block these days. Both disappoint. Cannot bring myself to vote for either.

  • @Bellalodicci9 then don't. vote for another party. and notice the similarities between the way U.S. President Obama delivered his speeches, and the way the Tories deliver theirs now... copying

  • It's so unfair and unjust that people will actually vote for david cameron and his self interested members.

It really breaks my heart to think of it - if you think Brown is bad then wait till you see this lot in action.

  • I understand you may find it excting, however various BBC Polls suggest the majority of the UK public don't think that. Sadly your party doesn't believe in democracy and giving the British people a say on the issue. Brown like Cameron has ratted on his referendum promise on the EU Constitution/Lisbon treaty. They are the same document in terms of their legal implications.

  • nobody wants 5 more years of these incompetents, nevermind a Postie in charge. saying that, he couldn't do any worse than Brown. Happy Blue New Year btw!

  • A completely dishonest position that the Conservatives have taken. The Lisbon treaty is the last treaty, there will be no more treaties at it is a self amending treaty, the EU can take more power without there ever been the need for new treaties. Talk of sovereignty bills etc is just a con to get people to vote for you. It is like installing a new lock on an empty cupboard where all the jewels have already been stolen.

  • inverted snobbery and class war bullshit isn't doing the tories any harm.

  • Comment removed

  • why is it labour always make britain the sick man of the developed world? I hope this election finishes the malignant bastards off.

  • sorry, New Labour, that's NEW Labour - they're not the piss poor party they've always been.

  • justtakeiteasy...What is Labour, (a definition req'd),

Ie,,, 5 mini rant comments about how much you suck up to Brown/Bliar, but not a single reason why...c'mon!

  • Justtakeiteasy, I see you want to take this up a notch, call me a "White elitist right wing fuck".

You are a puppet, an errand boy, nothing more. I'd already started to build a psychological picture of how you were hegemonized, but you beat me to it..lol

  • justtakeiteasy...What is Labour, (a definition req'd),

Ie,,, 5 mini rant comments about how much you suck up to Brown/Bliar, but not a single reason why...c'mon!

  • Mr Cameron you seem comfortable there.

Were you in the same comfort after the tax payer funded your £350,000 mortgage?

    Don't Vote for Tory Lies

    VOTE LABOUR

  • Comment removed

  • Where is the referendum Cameron?

Is this a cast iron guarantee?

  • Don't Let Yourselves Down

    Don't let Your Children Down

Don't Let those in need Down

    Don't Vote Conservative

    VOTE LABOUR

  • @NewLabour1

Have a referendum on Britain's EU membership. Are we in our out?

Have a fairer immigration policy with a handful of people from each nation around the world rather than masses from specific nations.

Have a tougher policy against illegal immigrants.

Have more power given to local MP's and constituencies. (The people that know your area best)

Have a free trade agreement with the EU.

But above all HAVE YOUR SAY!!!!!

    Vote UKIP. :-)

  • What a couple of fannies....

  • See what Ca-moron wants for this country...more Islam less Christianity, same as qu'aran touting Blair...

    /watch?v=3tjQFRrM-Ew

  • go to hell you rothschilds muppets!

  • CONS SERVE A DIV

    lmao

  • The ridiculous thing is, by definition these idiots are "no longer" conservative.

The only party that comes near to conservatism is the BNP, The tories are now communist dictators along with the other two Lib and Lab. The reason people are confused as to which one to vote for, is because there is NO difference between LibLab or Con!

  • I guess they're just not as enlightened as you

  • I can't belive that people are still taken in by this hypocritical nonsense...politicians have consistently been a burden to this country...do a search on YouTube for : "MPs Expenses Leaked Document "...and things become clearer...

  • Anybody heard the news, maggies dead

  • Cameron has been even more Eurosceptic than Hague in the past - he just has to play politics. UKIP are like a bunch of children; they don't seem to be in the real world. They can't seem to see that no-one would vote to leave the EU at this time and try to say that Cameron not being able to honour his "cast iron guarantee" on the Treaty is some sort of betrayal. We won't get pushed around by Europe under the Tories but we would under Labour, so I'm with the Tories on this issue.

  • A NWO puppet of his schoolfriend Rothschild.

  • No elected government has the right to give away it's elected power to unelected foriegners. No decision is more important to the general public than who is governing them.

The fact is there should be a new referendum on whether to remain part of the EU or not. If the Cons don't see withdrawal from the EU as an option then I will be voting UKIP next general election.

  • we don't elect our rulers anyway...in a general election we elect an MP, a party, but not our leader...

also, they dont really represent us, they are too far removed from reality, so to be honest our own MPs are basically as foreign to ordinary people as european MEPs...

  • Cameron is a fool. He is no Thachter he is a soft upper class fool. A Soft person not a strong Tory at all.

  • Comment removed

  • The Tories ravaged this country with during the 1980's with Margaret Thatcher. The fact Cameron likes Thatcher makes me hate him alone. As the saying Tory saying goes 'make the rich richer and the poor poorer'.

  • The gap between the richest and the poorest is bigger than ever.

  • It is true that youtube doesn't represent the general consensis of the nation.

    looking at these comments

  • No such luck. This bunch of wallys are not interested in what the majority want anyway. Its just another load of old tosh. Most of the majority of this countrys electorate do NOT want to join the EU! Especially the older generations who by now know what this is all about,NEW WORLD ORDER.Whats in store for us only time will tell ??

  • Dear Mr. Cameron,

If you promise to do a referendum afther next general election, you should do it not on the Lisbon Treaty but to ask the whole British peole if they want to get rid of the EU or not.

  • How the fuck can this so called BNP member denounce the Conservative Party as traitors when his own disgusting leader despises the Monarchy for being " foreign and posh " . Fucking hypocrite.

  • Tories are traitors. There is no difference between the Lib/Lab/Con.

    VOTE BNP

  • While listening to you and gollum here I am not sure whether I need first rip off my ears or poke out my eyes. Which should it be?

  • Mr Cameron.

Could you respond to the findings of the C4 Dispatches programme concerning the pro-Israel lobby and its influence on the Tory party ?

It reported that a large majority of Tory MPs and half the shadow cabinet are signed-up Friends of Israel, and millions of pounds flow into the bank accounts of MPs and parties although only a fraction of these contributions is visibly accounted for.

We await your response, Mr Cameron.

  • You'll have to wait a long time for a repsonse. Haigh can't even answer whether Lord Ashcroft was Non Dom when he bunged the Tories millions in funding. This is agains tthe Law and the Tories need to pay that money back

  • piad for by zionist jews

  • we could have had an election or the treaty might not have been signed by the time the election came around, that's how we could have had a referendum on the treaty. one now can only be on one that no-longer exists, one on doing what the tories already say they are going to do or one on pulling out of the eu. not rocket science.

  • Get out from EU!

  • Comment removed

  • You tell em William Hague Baguey

    DB votes Tory!

    Down with Labour!

  • Cameron= Blair, a liar, political opportunist and was a supporter of the Iraq war.

Have learnt no matter how gd their personality may seem, if their policies and judgement are disastrous, I won't be voting for them.

  • Suck an egg Cameron, I'd rather not vote than vote conservative.

  • Excellent programme on Beeb4 in the last week on the shipyards on the Clyde of Glasgow.

Nice to see a balanced summation of all the difficulties in that story. The way I see it is Britain was a mature World civilisation, so we couldn't expect their workers to be on the same living wage as emerging shipyards of Japan and Korea etc.. So some way should have been found to keep it going, in swap of getting the Union system there to be streamlined, allowing introduction of modern manufacturing.

    .

  • My 77 year old mum lives in France, my 35 year old sister lives in Italy, my 49 year old brother lives in Spain and stupid me lives in Britain.

We have an unelected head of state, an unelected House of Lords, and an electoral system that allows 49% of the population to have NO representative in parliment. Democacy?

We are European. Get used to it. It was the TORIES that made us so.

  • Queen Victoria made sure that European politics, even as far as the Russian Empire, is, and always will be, intertwined and interbred, if you get what I mean.

Wish certain people would realise this!

  • David Cameron you have become leader of the Conservative Party under a false premise. You promised the Tory Party a Referendum during your Leadership Challenge.

    GIVE THE

  • @DoverFerry He did nothing of the sort.

  • I quote from the Times on line 4/11

"In 2007, at a time when Gordon Browns fortunes were riding so high that there was talk of a snap election, Mr Cameron promised a referendum on any EU treaty that emerges from these negotiations.

Yes, David Cameron did offer a Referendum then. David Davis is now mounting a Leadership Challenge as of last week due to his intransigence.

  • You highlight the point in your quote very clearly, it was thought at that time there would be an early election and there for time to act on anything that came out of those negotiations. Things have changed, the lisbon treaty is signed into law and in a few short months it will be implemented.

A referendum on that is pointless. Never has the conservative party or david cameron promised a referendum on lisbon post ratification.

  • As for David Davis, i like the guy infact if im honest i wanted him to win the conservative leadership. But things have changed, he lost.

An election is less than a year away, the tories are ahead in the polls and stand a real chance of winning. ALL conservative supporters and members need to fall into line atleast until after the election. That would include David Davis, who would not dare cause a big stir at the point.

  • David Cameron has proved himself a massive coward by refusing to stand up to the facist EU and it's monetary masters, he's running scared.

But then again he's no JFK who had the courage to sign Executive Order 11110 and cut the Federal reserve out of the monetary equation for America.

  • I have argued against the EU since 1993!!

Labour are bare-faced liars. They don't care about the people - they only care about themselves. They will lie in order to get their way and I think people can see this now.

I can't wait until Labour are voted out of office. It feels like it's taking ages to get there......

  • Power has already been cast out of our hands. Idiots...

  • You wouldn't catch Gordon sitting around in a grand country house letting his assistants do the talking while he sits drinking tea like a king and preparing his grand speech.

    Don't vote for Tory Lies

Watch my video and see the truth of the Labour Party and also watch Gordon's speech while your at it.

  • No.. You catch him in number 10 letting his assistants do the talking while he sits drinking tea like a king and preparing his grand speech.

  • Vote for a Party that has achieved so much in so little time;

    VOTE LEFT

    VOTE LABOUR

  • @NewLabour1 Lmao Labour has done huge damage in so little time, you have certainly achieved alot.. most of it was bloody awful.

    Roll on 2010.

  • fanagot (below)

You are apparently not even living in the UK. Why should anyone listen to you. You might pretend to be British, you like talking about the weather - maybe you should stick to that.

Moving on to the issues here,

Cameron is lying - his approach will not work. The EU wont allow it. The people know it & he knows it , Time he started to talk tough by stepping out of the EU comfort zone, doing things to make a real difference, instead of the weasle words in his video here..

  • Cameron thinks the Average Brit is stupid.Even the BIMBO down the pub realises it has happened and all powers have been handed over to the EU,so saying he will introduce a policy so it does not happen again is worthless.Only an Eaton educated Twat could come up with such bullshit.Wake up Cameron,if we are governed by the EU,it dont matter to the average joe if the BNP or UKIP are in charge here.We will sink you ,wake up to that.

  • What Cameron is proposing here is the Libertas polices in the Euro Elections in May this Year. Reform the EU from within. That means unpicking Lisbon and getting all 26 countires to agree...LOL M.Lellouche was right in that sense when he said Cameron is Autistic if he thinks he cna achieve that

  • Strong regionalisms and poor education work counter to the whole continent's progress. The next prime minister will have to deal with an increasing problem with xenophobia in britain and in most EU countries. That too works counter to britain's progress and interests inside and outside of the EU. Britain and europe both have no choice. Europe must unite, and united we must stand. Divided we will surely fall and probably bring the whole world down with us.

  • I'm sorry but I'm sick of pro EU people like you saying things like, we are xenophobia. it's our country and we have a right to decide who comes to the UK or if we want to be part of some foreign union. Britain does have a choice and we will not be dictated to by the EU. We do not need to united with the crappy EU. FFS

  • The world is constantly changing and britain has to adapt to it. The british empire process is over. I and many other people now want to vote and elect the president of the EU, thus directly influencing the democratic process of the continent. But at the moment we face similar problems to those that occur during the voting for the eurosong contest. Most people in europe, britain included, are still politically naive and borderline xenophobic.

  • Oh and why keep going on about we want to be some british empire again. That is not what we are trying to do. Maybe your just jealous. I will say this, keep your blood nose out of UK affairs, you know nothing about. Idiot.

  • If you take you tongue out of Europes arse for 5 seconds you may see the Big picture.

  • Too right! you must save the UK David!

  • And if you think there's really a "special" relationship between britain and america, think again. They are only interested in their own pockets, and if britain doesn't mean money, power and influence for them, they will seek it somewhere else, and they do. At least in that they are not different than anyone of us.

  • Now we have the american/chinese empire. If european countries don't unite, they'll be easily swallowed, one by one, by the largest economies... and the world nowadays sees britain only as a part of europe. Nothing more nothing less. So there's no choice really. And if you are happy being governed by your mayor or prime minister, you should also be happy being governed by your president.

  • @fanagot The British people were sytematically lied to.

GIVE THE BRITISH PEOPLE THE PROMISED REFERENDUM!

  • Bullshit,Britain will do nicely without the EU Communist rule. How can you be happy being governed by people you do not know, never voted for and cannot vote out of power.Cameron knows fullwell the EU will not renegotiate the Treaty.40% of Tories who would have voted for Cameron are undecided now.Why not allow the people to decide,In or Out of the EU,Is it because all the main parties know 70% of British people want out.And you still think you live in a Democratic country.

  • That would be similar to the way the american system works, but I know that ultimately britain is a part of europe, not the other way around. The american states don't have nationalisms inside their territory. That is a huge problem in europe. Americans are stronger because they don't have this and many other cultural hurdles.

  • Vital??? Cant we have a referendum and decide for ourselves that?

  • @FlashGuyMX The mainstream parties which get the overwhelming majority of the votes all support membership of the European Union.

It is vital and if we held a referendum and the majority said they wanted to stay in the EU you wouldnt suddenly like it would u? so whats the point? Britain must remain part of the European Union unless we have no choice but to withdraw or threaten to withdraw because of something in the future.

We remain a sovereign state with the right to withdraw

  • The point is very simple,70% of the British public want out,and if a vote was given and we pulled out of the EU,well,I guess you wouldnt like it,so whats the point.Democracy is the point.

  • theres no evidence 70% of the people want out of the EU, just because an odd opinion poll usually influenced by the biased newspaper media which is anti europe means nothing.

If there was a single referendum on in out for the UK, i think you will find the conservative, lib dem, Plaid, SNP and Greens all speaking with one voice saying we must remain in the EU would persuade many to vote to remain part of the union. Only the BNP and UKIP would advocate withdrawing, Nice group to be in.

  • If that was the case, then the main parties would not be scared to death of letting the British public have their Democratic vote. Its people like you that are more interested in a certain party winning the election than Democracy.

  • RoyJrp, to hold a single referendum on something with huge implications always worries mainstream parties. We have parliamentary democracy, that is how our country and system works.

Separatists are demanding a referendum in Scotland on independence, the only way we can justify not holding on is voting patterns of the Scottish people and opinion polls.

You need a clear majority in order to hold a referendum which is designed for radical change. besides a referendum wont stop u hating the EU

  • It doesn't matter what the polls predict. T
