The game takes place in Wales, but the characters aren’t Welsh. Koudelka Iasant was born in Wales, but to Roma (Gypsy) parents, and later raised by Helena Blavatsky (an actual historical figure), a Russian, in London. Edward Plunkett is another character taken from real history—he’s the 18th Baron Dunsany, an Anglo-Irish fantasy author best known as “Lord Dunsany.” And Fr. James O’Flaherty is Irish.

The voice actors aren't bad they are actually pretty good and I really don't care for the accents, i mean what are they supposed to do fake an accent for "authenticity"

I don't hear any complaints with games that have characters from different countries speaking English (when they shouldn't)

Don't believe me? Just TRY to forget that medallion in the fountain... When you get to the last stage without it, you can't go back to take it. And when you make it to Ellaine, there is an animation which shows your painful death and it's game over. If you want the end, start from the beginning... But that's only if you know why you've been screwed.

Shadow Hearts 1 was as good as Koudelka, just a bit less horrific. But just so much playable. Koudelka was such an atrocious mix of survival horror and tactical RPG.

A good game it was, for his rich story, but the gameplay was just a torture.

And, I never saw, except for really old and lame games, a game that makes you repeat everything from the start if you forgot to take an item.

Better actors !? How can you find better ? Koudelka's voice actors did a mindblowing job... and to this day... I think it's probably one of the best dub I have ever heard in a game or anime.

Doesn't change the fact that the voice actors and the animation make those characters feel so REAL (something that I rarely experienced while watching/playing an anime/video game). And that's what impressed me. Now, you seem to have a problem with their accents... I don't. I don't because of what I said above. They feel like real people to me. And I wish more voice actors could do that.

I actually only found out this game when I was on the Aberystwyth wikipedia page(I went to University there) If the game is based in Aberystwyth then they wouldnt have English accents either, theyd have Welsh accents which is entirely different :D

I don't care what anybody says about that first encounter. That so did not look like a werewolf. More like a cross between a werecat human being with a heavy dosage of Michael Jackson's 5th plastic surgery use. Sort of reminds a bit from that music video MJ did for Ghost. Really creepy looking encounter.
