Don't hate Adam, it's not his fault. I blame John. Yes, he felt guilty about the life his older sons have to go through but overcompensating on the youngest one is unfair to Dean and Sam. Were I in either of their position, I'll be supremely pissed, too.

when i said he's a punk i meant like a pansy or wuss how avoids conflict, dont know if its just me but conflict is what makes the show interesting. thats probably why i only even gave Adam the time of day when he agreed to be Mike's vessel.
