Dang, I'm sorry that happened. I don't keep up with the news, but my aunt, knowing how badly I want to go to Australia, told me about this last week. I sure hope I can keep that from happening to me. Hopefully as long as I pretty much keep my distance, I won't have to worry about it. So grateful she wasn't badly hurt.

@AlexGazmararian Guess so. It's been 2 1/2 years since I discovered this desire to study abroad and I still want to go (only tend to worry about the loose ends here in the States like my possessions I'd leave behind and such). I've thought about keeping trail mix in my purse if I make it out there (I'm 1st alternate this year so I'm vigilantly on standby) in case of the need to save face. One approaches me, and hopefully s/he's less likely to kick me if I have food available. Lol
