girlfriend did this to herself on a single six, i felt so bad for not thinking to remind her to keep her finger down. it was her first time shooting so it was never her fault, poor instruction on my part, and i ended picking little bits of metal/ gunpowder out of her finger for a few days =/
@BondoFox The round is called 22lr. There is Short, Long, Long Rifle. Three different variations. Only thing different is case length and bullet weight. Your revolver is chambered in ".22 Long Rifle" as it was designed for...a rifle...
Well, I just did the 22 one to show that even such a small caliber can bite/hurt you if not careful. No, you won't lose a finger to the 22 but if the habit carries over to another bigger caliber, it has the potential for great personal harm. If you haven't seen them , look at the 2 tests I did with the 44 mag.
That is why you should always read the manual to familiarize yourself with a new weapon. If you are a novice to firearms I strongly suggest you join the NRA. It does not cost much and you will have plenty information for Proper gun handling and training. Getting to know your local gun dealer or sporting good store personnel is also wise. You asked a question regarding Safety and that is a Good sign of responsibility. Good luck and keep it Safe!
I used a few layers of folded printer paper over the gun to demonstrate this very thing to by little brother. Hotdogs would have been more effective I think. Cool videos.
YOU'RE correct, I am correct, the pistol was never pointed at the camera, and yet, even if I had, it would not have mattered since it was ON A TRIPOD. So.... none of the below were violated. 1. All firearms are always loaded. 2. Always keep a firearm pointed in a safe direction. 3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. 4. Always be sure of your target and know what is behind it along the bullet's trajectory.
Well, your head was not there and had it been, the gun still would not have been pointed at it. The revolver was pointed in the PROXIMITY, not AT the CAMERA. Had there been a person holding the camera, I would have taken greater precaution out of general priciple. As it was, finger off trigger and more than 30degrees off bore line of an inanimate object was ENTIRELY safe.... Believe me, my reply was VERY polite. Lot of back-seat RO's here that if watched likely do the same or much worse.
Arsenal...Not quite but I would like to thank all the little people that made this feat possible. Especially those who lose their thumbs so a valuable point can be made to the shooting community. A 22 and a 38...The cornerstone of any good collection... ;)

So why is a .22 revolver referred to as a "long rifle", anyway? My little H&B is and I never understood why.

Actually seriously, it is, I'm new to guns, and I plan on getting a .22LR revolver and I didn't know you could burn yourself that bad like that.

21 seconds in you point the gun at the camera. Nice safe handling

MMMmm....No I don't You need to watch it again apparently. Pulling one's head from the anal cavity generally improves the ability to watch videos.

your correct, it was at approx 24 seconds.

Not a very nice way to reply. The camera may have been on a tripod, but if it was my head there I would have considered that pointed "at" my head.

Damn! Nice arsenal! I don't know why you need all those guns though. Hell, all you need is a 10/22 and .38.
