See, I hate Greenpeace because they grab these everyday objects and claim they're terrible and bad. They attempt to make you feel guilty by simply living. I'll continue to eat meat, i'll continue to drive my vehicle, because if we really wanted to change, we'd lose the internet, computers, vehicles, our whole lifestyle. And I'm sure 90% of society doesn't want to be living by a campfire, hungry and cold saying "well at least the earth will be ok".
Look, I can understand your point of view. Continue to eat meat, continue to drive your vehicle. Greenpeace is not saying that you can't do these things. They are simply trying to teach people that there is an ALTERNATIVE way of doing them, in a way that can sustain a modern functioning society.
Unfortunately this is a very very slow process. We cannot just turn the tables in 1 month and expect Millions to just accept it and attempt to adapt to the new lifestyle. There are too many factors, I am in full support to protect our very earth, but making Commercials to make you feel guilty for using every day items isn't going to solve anything, and this is why its hard to support "Green peace" because their methods are.. subpar at best.
I agree with you, however, just because you support the protection of our planet, dosn't mean that you have to support Greenpeace and thier methods of reaching society. Warmth? food? energy? water? heh, This planet has allowed my very existance, has allowed the human race to grow, has allowed centuries of new discoveries and families etc.. Well there have been outstanding safety issues with plastic parts made in china. They don't want to ban modern tech just want it manufactured according to existing safety standards that have been in place for years.
Though technically plastic dishes, baby bottles,packaging and bags with questionable ingredients are a far larger threat to public health and the environment then iphones due to the fact they are manufactured in larger numbers and are in contact with food.

Actually the RHOS solder has a higher melting temp then the lead solder but is more prone to corrosion and a condition known as tin whisker.
Though this can be compensated for by using more silver and protective coatings which cost more.
