please let me know what is your engine temperature running in the street?is your radiator stock? my camaro 94 z28 have 383 LT1 engine but is running very hot in the street, almost 3/4 of the total temp. indication in the dash gauge
yea my impala ss also has a 383 lt1 engine and it does run hotter on the streets than it does with a regular 350 lt1. and i dont know why but my fans dont turn on until it reaches the red line on the temperature gauge. luckily i have cast iron heads otherwise they would have warped by now. also it takes so long to warm up though. it will run hotter but it does take longer to warm up. i dont really get it.
regular camaros with 350s fan cut on around 225 degrees, change the comp ratio , piston size temps def. gonna get high before fan cuts on, tune it that will help def get a radiator flush
Just get a tun and tell the fans to turn on at a lower temp, and not turn back off until a lower temp. On a bolt-on LS1 car I was able to drop coolant temps something like 50 degrees just by doing that.
