  • mc mike or anyone.how do you tell the dif by looking at a883 motor or 1200 or a86or87 1100 sportster i just got a 86 sport and i have no clue yet someone give me a haller bones86

  • @Billieebeee Best bet to check vehicle registration if you can get one. Otherwise, I'm not sure, I believe both have the same engine size.

  • mcdamike, thanks for the info on the custom-made pipes! Once again, a really great bike!

  • What brand of exhaust pipes does your bike have? Looks great!

  • @harosport87. It's 2" diameter pipes, pieced together by my builder.

  • Awesome bike man!

  • Excellent! Less is more.

  • @louisvonbeethoven

check out my new video of the same bike. Look completely different, but better.

  • Just a suggestion...the 120/70-21 tire will look better and handle too. I swapped out my skinny 21 in for the 120/70. Its my best upgrade.

  • @mcdamike. great taste, very cool looking bike. impressive handle bars. what is the the size and the brand of that pull-back handle bars? thx

  • @alpnaslan @singe62 Thanks. I was going for that 40' Indian pull back style handlebar. Its around 28" or so across, got it off a catalog that imported from Japan, which probably originated from da USofA. I have since change it to a mini ape bar, makes it easy to squeeze between traffic.

  • @singe62. I will stick with the 19" for now. If you are thinking to go 16" in the front, you may consider asking a shop to fab you a set of tree, should'nt be too expensive to do. My bro did it on his 08 Sportster, looks pretty good. Not sure about wide glide, you will need to measure it out.

  • nice job mike.

  • my 86 1100 sportster is the biggest basket case I have ever owned. That definitley sounds like the early Evo sportster with a set of cheap drag pipes and an S&S carb!!!! For all the trouble, they are still worth it. Keep up the good work.

  • hehe. yup, those are cheap pipes my friend had lying around and he weld it up to make a complete pipe. I had spray paint the whole thing in high temp. black paint since.

  • @mcdamike I just finished my 86. Turns out I bent 2 rods. Got to ride it for two hours before it rained today and remembered just why I love harleys. When I put my new gas tank on im gonna try and post a vid.

  • I love the style of beach bars you have on your bike, what type are they?

  • Nice scoot keep it dirty!

  • Hai, is this a Honda Shadow engine u use ?

    It looks like that.

    Jos

  • Hi Mcdamike, nice Bike man!. I really like this handle bar on the video, what is it?. Fits on a Sportster883C?. What dou you think...

  • No 21 inch please.......Its a bobber not a chopper,

    Great job man...

  • I have made a lot of changes since this video. Going to upload once the mod is finish. Here is a list of whats to come.

rattle-kan black wheels, exhaust, new carb cover, lift up tank, ironhead handle bar, trim down the spocket cover and gear cover, mid control, new gas tank paint job, lowered seat mount, extended the rear by a whole 1". Pretty much a complete make over.

  • yeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh!!!

    good work!!!

    fifree from france

  • Leave the front wheel as it is bro.....the 19 inchers look perfect.I m sure they ride well too.

  • Dude, what are those BARS? And where did you get them!!

  • how much for the headlite, is it halogen of what kind is it

  • THAT is a COOL BIKE

  • what tyres are those?

  • Stock rims and tires. 16 rear, 19 front.

  • what kinda bars are those

  • ooooh yeah! giving me some great ideas. I especially like the matte black. those bars are sick!

  • awesome modify! i have also a sporty (1989) i m busy to modify...how did you lower those forward controls a bit? i have thesame Forw Contr (to high standard)

  • I have changed to mid control. Found me a set of old HD mid control that fits. Took me a few months to track down a shop that just happen to have a set collecting dust.

  • where can i get those handle bars

  • Sounds fantastic! Sounds like it runs well enough that you could lower the idle just a tad to REALLY get that lopy single-pin crank sound.

  • I would love to have that.

  • Nice bike! looks like mine.

  • Hi There Mike well done mate it looks superb real cool job.

  • Thanks Steve. Borrowed a lot of ideas from your Sportster.

  • go with the smaller wheels

  • awesome bike im looking at a 1200 sportster 1988 model, i hope it sounds like yours.

  • Thanks. I also repainted the wheels in black last weekend. Now looks even more classic/vintage.

  • cool bike
