The Working Hour is quite extraordinary too. WH and FLW are so emotional, just like Memories fade and Day by day by day by day by day (Orzabal). Roland is a genious, comparable to Joakim Berg of Kent, the best emo-band of Sweden.
When I fancy about what kind of man I really want by my side, soon this song comes to my mind and I realize that I need someone with this sweet powerful voice, with a passionate heart, smart and sensitive enough to write a song like this one...
That makes me very happy. His vocals are glorious,as is he! Its sounds like you enjoyed the concert Unfortunately I'm to far away but I am happy to read all the posts from everyone able to attend.I have yet to hear anything negative...........
The best song I have ever heard in a live concert was this song. Powerful. They had a brass band that they had playing when the saint coming in... Wish I could see/hear it again
Hmm-very interesting. Wonder if anyone knows if Roland is still with his wife? I don't see him wearing his wedding ring in the most recent videos of him here on YT.
Does he know women swoon over him this much??!! I mean, does he REALLY know? There's something about him that's just raw passion. I could look and listen to him all day!!!!!! SWOON!
Goodness! This man has a hypnotic hold on me! I've looking up everything ''Roland'' on the net for hrs! I need intervention and serious detoxing from him. Ugh!
His/their effect is actually detoxifying. TFF music/lyrics will help you unearth and remember your inner child which has been buried since your conception. When you were scolded and punished for doing the fun and playful things that children do, your inner child was shocked, stunned, and traumatized.
Wake up, "break it down", and "See for yourself you have been sitting on a time bomb". End "The Hurting" of this "horrific dream".Your inner song has yet to be sung.
Yeah, definitely! Once a band REALLY hits it big...it sorta loses the meanin. If you know what I mean. lol. It's not as special sometimes. NOt all the time. If these guys hat hit it big though, I would think they'd have still been just as appreciated.
This is a beautiful song; Tears For Fears music helped me out when i was going through a hard time in my younger years; the lyrics and melody are inspirational; they have a few great songs.
I soooo agree with you! Roland IS truely timeless! Can you imagine a world without that amazing voice? Not to mention his lyrical style! No one writes like this man and no one ever will! It's time he got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, don't you think?!
Yes, Roland absolutely belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!! There is noone as talented, both with music and lyrics and with such a smooth and powerful voice. And what a vocal range!
A song for the ages. When it came out in 1990 I was at a turning point in my life. Its intense emotionality and its underlying sadness helped me decide make the most important choice of my life: who to love forever... It never fails to bring tears of joy and sadness.

Best album to incorporate so many element`s of music such as jazz, rock,r&b,eclectic, etc.TFF are great. "The Seeds of Love" is a special album from a special time.(The 80`s!)
great intro, very evocative, i must have listened to this song every day for the past 20 years. I've used in 2 of my plays 'The Wires Are Down' and 'Sex Is The Sun'. But what is being said under the intro at about 00.10???
This has always been one of my favorite T4F songs. It has an amazing message. I have been looking for an mp3 of the song, but it's nowhere to be found. Thank you so much for posting this video!
Amazing song. Can't really describe what I feel while listening to it: sweet memories and "ancient" emotions gave me a bit of nostalgia in thinking about the old days ....
I never grow tired of this song. It overwhelms me each time I hear it. TFF is so powerful. I listened to them, falling asleep, when I was pregnant with my 18 yr old. She found TFF on her own at 14 or 15 and was immediately hypnotized by their music. It is strange and wonderful to know she loves them so much. She has drawn a huge mural on her wall. Check out her myspace, everyonecanchange. Look at her blog on her mural and at pics of her TFF artwork. She has been truly inspired by TFF.
wow that is so amaizing . Me finding out about tears for fears is almost the same story. My father would play songs from the big chair at night when i was 6 or 7 and would yell out my lungs to Shout and be amaized by th saxophone solos in their songs. i ended up forgetting about ttf but recently heard the album again and now i love this band they are truely the best better than any new bands of today .
I hope you have checked out their more recent release Everybody Loves A Happy Ending. It is incredible. Curt and Roland reunited a few years back and put out a new album. I love it.
Everybody Loves A Happy Ending sounds very much like Seeds of Love (a good thing btw). Its as if they never broke up... like they made the album 2 or 3 years after Seeds.
Tears for fears in a band that Inspired intellect and a lot of creativity, this is one of my favorite songs as well as all the material they have done throughout his career.
A great song to the end of a great era. This really was Tears for Fears swan song. But luckily they have been back together since 2000, released a great album in 2004 and are hopefully going to continue their legacy.
Curt's looks are a bit too tame for me. But on "Seven of Sundays" he has his thing going on; quite sexy and very cerebral. To keep Roland as his partner all those years, he certainly had to have it upstairs as well.
second that. Roland has a more earthy, smoldering passionate side and his lyrics reflect this. Since 1984, I've been the most drawn to him of the two, he has a dark sexiness that is hypnotizing...
Yes yes yes! I liked them in the 80's, but didn't really revisit them again until a few months ago. Now I'm OBSESSED with their music and Roland. I've just run across this song and will have to download it, thanks!!
A for a heart B for a brain Insects and grass Are all that remain When the light from above Burns a hole straight through our love We will laugh We will sing When the saints go marching in And we will carry war no more All our love and all our of pain Will be but a tune
The sun and the moon The wind and the rain Hand in hand we'll do and die Listening to the band that made us cry We'll have nothing to lose We'll have nothing to gain Just to stay this real life situation For one last refrain As the day hits the night We will sit by candlelight We will laugh We will sing When the saints go marching in And we will carry war no more
Wot a beautiful song. This was in fact released as a single after 'Advice For The Young At Heart' in May 1990 but for some strange reason did not make the top 75! Shame.....
Man... I still get chills when I hear this song..it used to scare my daughter when she was little..she loved hearing it though..you know how that is....she is 18 now and still loves this song....and yes, it still scares her...
This song...oh man, stirs up ghosts, and conjures all sorts of memories, as does the whole album...but this one...! Never new it existed as a vid...Thank you!
Such a beautiful song but also painful - reminds me of a friend that I used to know who passed away shortly after this song came out - always makes me cry.
I feel sorry for you, anestofleas. This is why the music of Tears for Fears and The Cure touch in a way perhaps very few bands do. Their hearts beat in the same way as ours. That is the reason they are so special.
I m without words...i remember when i was young (19 years old)...great song!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Tears for Fears!!!!!!!

This song...oh man, stirs up ghosts, and conjures all sorts of memories, as does the whole album...but this one...! Never new it existed as a vid...Thank you!
Makes me weep instantly.

I believe this song was a foreshadow. The last song on the last truly great TFF album before Curt & Roland parted ways... Had it on vinyl:)

a velvet explosion, a perfect plea for passivity thru passion and, perhaps, the essence of roland's brilliance; may his star shine eternal

This is a beautiful song and a fitting end to a great album- 'The Seeds of Love'.

One of the BEST songs TFF has ever done. I love all their songs but this one is AMAZING. Pure genius.

This song is very touching... The whole album is excellent. Tears For Fears are one of the best bands I've ever heard.

A beautiful song. Was a single in April 1990 but it did'nt make the top 75! Shame...
