Actualy it's known that the fig wasp can fly up to 180 km. This is one amazing bug. 3-4 figs should be more than enought per tree. More fig wasp can couse the fig to split due to too many polinated flowers inside the fig.

I have a better idea and way to prevent early fruit dropping. Prune your trees and allow room and resources for the figs to mature; just like any fruit tree. Make room and allow more sun to penetrate and you will be even MORE successful without having to make a silly bug necklace.
