Attention all Chemical Engineers!!! If recycling cigarette butts is something that might interest you. Please contact us now! The main problem we are trying to overcome is cleaning the actual filter. Getting rid of the smell and excess tar and nicotine. If you know of any recipes, or ideas please share them with us.
Responsible Smokers Act already creates Ashtrays from cigarette butts, nice work though...you might want to talk to the US patent holder Blake Burich...keep it up!
Hi Ross. Thanks for your comment and thoughts. It's nice to know there are more of us trying to tackle this problem. Yes, lets get in contact and discuss what findings you have discovered and maybe we can come up with a great solution altogether.
Great concept and wonderful use of a "biohazardous product". I have been picking up & collecting Cigarette filters for a couple years now. Im doing research on the treatment of our Water supply for Household usage and how Cigarette flters are a contributing factor in our water contamination. like what u got going on would love to support and contribute towards the efforts.
Brilliant video, me and my friend are now looking into the possibilities around recycling these eye sores. Studies in china have found a use on N80 steel for rust prevention.
We are based in the UK, any advice or research you have to offer would be brilliant, please email me remi_uk87@hotmail.com
