rhis isn't on watchthisletme.ch but Westworld is which is the forerunner of this film. check out this web site. It used to be letmewatchthis.ch but they changed their domain name. see you there...<3
From this day forward, I refuse to watch a single film which doesn't end in the protagonist flipping off a man in a labcoat and jumping onto a moving monorail car.
I was always curious as to why the robots went nuts in the original film.."central unit failure"..but the way they discussed it sounded like a virus? Will have to try and find the book sometime
@Sonnabend00 The guy in the white lab coat said the reason why the WestWorld robots in first movie was all programmed by HUMAN controllers at those consoles, where as in this FutureWorld sequal,ALL controllers was ANDROID robots perfectly tuned by that 1 guy in white lab coat-He was TOO Immaculate, his only flaw/Weakness, was like that of StarScream from the G1 Transformers: His ARROGANCE... where he is being too full of himself
The same problem with westworld and this one the endings are horrible, they should have done another ten minutes or so,common since doesnt play a factor with these writers.
thanks, haven't seen either in a long time. Schneider acted very human towards the end at chucks finger of defiance. i went through the film thinking he's a robot, very cold emotionless, now i'm not sure.
There's actually a few seconds cut off at the very end. I wonder why. As they are pulling away on the tram, Socks says something along the lines of "Did you get ahold of the boss?" and he replies "Yes, by the time we get there, this will all be old news" He hus her and she mumbles something like "Oh good" and then it fades to the blue credits. I wonder why it was cut, you can even tell in the music where it's missing at that fade to black before the credits roll.
Watched both "Westworld" and "Futureworld" today. Had never heard of them before. Really great movies, especially "Futureworld". Thanks for the upload.
@faildroid thanks, loved Colossus - The Forbin Project! Hadn't seen it before. What a top little movie. Next on the list, The Andromeda Strain.

Not exactly a classic but I have a soft spot for pre-Star Wars big budget Sci-Fi.

This movie was like Soylent Green and some of the other movie from that time.
It was interesting to see early CGI and hear TOS Star Trek sound effects.

Diabolical movie, a pathetic hollow, forgery of 'Westworld'. I've seen Disney cartoons more frightening this.
