great trick but i thought of one way to make it easier you can have the odd card hidden in the deck lets say second from the top so you know where it is and force the matching card on the botom so you can hand the card to the spectator so they know its just one card then cut it in the deck so it makes it even more unbelievable

instead of gluing them toghether you can just put them face to face and just do a tripple ( instead of a double) lift - i dont think anybody will notice - and when spreading the cards at the end just dont spread them so wide :)

Isn't it much easier to do this trick with one red- and one blue king of hearts? You put the blue one already somewhere in the deck, and you put the red on the bottom. You force the red one like in the video, make it dissapear in the deck with a cut and next you can show the blue one like in the video.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks much easier to me this way.

It's a lot easier.. if you're going to force the card anyways, you can just use a regular King of Hearts and put a duplicate of another color somewhere near the top, so when you cut the deck, both Kings go to the middle but only one will stand out.

Well I think its a descent beginning trick. If a spectator asked to see the deck you could curl the double back card in you other hand while they take a look at the deck.Then placing it back on top when they hand you back the deck.

Wouldn't it be easier to a blue King behind the red king, slip them both back, and pull out the "12th" card being the K of hearts, cut the deck etc, and when you spread the cards the Blue K of hearts will stand out and you won't need the double sided card

Its a good trick and I'm gonna practice it and then perform it because whenever I do tricks no one asks to see the deck after because you can show them the deck before the trick starts without showing the blue card. You could also use a blue backed king of hearts inserted somewhere above the middle of the deck (1 to 26, remember?), and a red king of hearts at the bottom of the deck. You do the force as usual, then you can even give the red king to them to insert where they like (not a good idea though). Insert magic action here, cut the deck, spread it, find the blue king, you're done with no waste of glued-together cards.

Look, yeah, they do make a trick a little more difficult because you have to use a little more sleight of hand, however, they do end up helping you perform awesomer tricks and imrpoves your skills with sleight of hand. Instead of a double-back card, why not just do a double-lift on a regular card? That way the deck is examinable after the routine. Also, if you fan the cards or do a face-forward spread at the beginning you can create the illusion of an unaltered deck. Similarly, if you did a controlled back-facing spread (being careful not to flash the bottom card) you'd have created the illusion that all the backs were red to begin with. That would make for a bigger impact at the reveal.
