influence is one thing, i agree most bands would have to be influenced by the beatles. in my opinion an influence is more of a starting point to create your own ideas, which portugal the man can do, censored colors was a great album. i think they could do much better than rehashing beatles chord progressions.

Hmm, i like there new album, but i think they changed too much from there older albums (Censored Colors & Waiter: "You Vultures!") Don't get me wrong, the new album has some sweet songs on it, but they have gone more rock compared to there older experimental albums.

I discovered them when they released It's Complicated Being A Wizard and fell in love with that, then they came out with Waiter and I loved that, Church Mouth gave me the chills, and I think after Church Mouth they really kept that soulful sound. His voice just has this southern feel to it, but at the same time it doesn't ring of any genre, it's just PTM :D

Not to be indifferrent but I'm going to listen to all of these songs on youtube for free, download the album illegally and then give them a bid review. That will encourage them to work harder on the next album and produce someting even better. Which is eactly what people should have done for Coldplay and U2 on the last 2 albums they released. @imabamf it's actually illegal for this video to be up without the consent of the artist...and technically youtube is supposed to remove it upon being notified or once they themselves have noticed it, they signed a paper agreeing that not to get sued a ton
