Hahahaha my favorite car without a doubt is an sti but this video proves just how much of a factor weight is in racing. You can get any car to get fast but true body framework and weight reduction really wins the race.

@cxbra the 6 inch tires on my kart r 11 inches wide im going to rebuild my carb from letting gas sit in it over the winter then i will post mine I have a cr 500r well about 600cc now modded pretty good and it is a handfull but it smokes the back tires at will and will run in the 160mph zone! it is power to weight it is a 9 second kart

not sure the quarter mile but the 0-60 is 3.5 sec. I race karts and it stomps my wrx.

Dumbest comment ever. You can clearly see that the kart runs out of gears around the 1/8th mile, around 90-100 mph (judging by the STI's gearing in the race). What would a 1/4 mile prove if he's already maxxed out. Just take it as a loss to the STi (the "I" is lowercase for your information by Subaru) fanboy. So what the car got beat, its not the fastest car in the world.

a good shifter kart like that will top out around 160mph and do 0-100 in like 5 seconds or faster. they are so much fun to drive and they corner like nothing else out there

80's and 125's will push top speeds of 90-115 tops. 0-100-0 in 10 seconds... you have no idea what the fuck your talking about. they can handle corners up to 3 G's

what about a 250??? in my opinion i'd stay with a 125 series... shifter karts are slowly and unfortunately getting phased out by TaG karts... {Touch and Go) I run 125 honda... there's alot more competition for that class in my area so thats what I run... I practice onan old 99 CRG 125... have seceral vids posted with that kart...

but TAGs are so f*cking expenisvie. Yes at first 125s might be more expenisive but if you have to change chains every other week and since clutchs go out really easy shifters become the cheaper ones. The tires are the only problem with shifters. people with TAGs are wasting money. Personally Shifters are way better and faster. Yes i did run TAGs for two years and it was so expensive.

a stock 125 top is around like 120mph or more, modded, or blueprinted the have close to 50 horse power and can run close to 140mph

@PimpinWaldoOo you r the only one i see that a little somethin here lol yeah the 125cc can produce around 45 to 47 horse no doubt I have a cr 500r on mine that is about 600cc now with a pro cool head 41mm micuni carb and I am jetting it for alcohol it is quite nasty to try and keep it under control I will post it soon!

its probably etheir a honda 125 moto enigine or a ICC which is a engine built for karting. I think its a moto though because of the sound. I own both types.

yeah it's a six speed sequential no need to press the clutch when shifting only when coming from a stop into first or stopping... these run about 10k new 5k used.
