I loved this episode! The ABBA song makes the scene - something you don't get on the dvd of this episode. You loose about 50% of the scene the way they changed it for the dvd release. Too sad.
@dtoeppen Did you see what they did too The intros of The Wonder Years and Life Goes On? I hate how they mess up the DVDs and yet they can play the original songs on broadcast shows.
I'm going back and watching the episodes in order, and she started out the show with the shorter haircut and then started to grow it out, I beleive...
I wrote a letter to myself the day this episode originally aired. I was 15 then. It inspired me to write a letter to myself to be opened when I was 30 which I just turned last week. It's great that you have this clip on here. Thanks!
I really miss watching this show. Janine Turner was fabulous in NE. Thanks so much for posting these clips. Since Northern Exposure doesn't air any longer on TV, I'll be like every other NE fan and purchase all seasons on DVD. The best TV show ever!!
Everything in Northern Exposure was done with an intention. Every song at the end of any episode was a classic that suited the theme of the episode with the lyrics perfectly. Every Northern Exposure episode is a little piece of handmade art. To change just a bit of them is a sacrilege. I can't understand how can you say carelessly "they just have different music".
Love this series! Wish they'd include the original music on the DVDs!

doesn't Ed see teen Maggie?
kogcc 1 year ago
@kogcc He doesn't exactly "see" her just senses a spirit, notices a bright light.

@kogcc of course not, lol she's not really there, she is in Maggie's head - he just heard her talking to someone.

@kogcc ohh, you were talking about Ed, nevermind.

Don't buy the DVDs. They have nothing to do with the original episodes because of copyrights.

They just have different music.
I would say buy them...you at least get the most of the story...
We have to wait to see if we ever get the dvds with the original music.
