even tho you sliped good job man because rach is tough to play, ive been working on moment musicaux no 4 for a month now and i can respect that you got as far as you are.. gdlk!
this is quite a hard piece, especially considering u hv only been playing for 2 yrs and hv self taught urself. well done!! when theres a will, theres a way :)
take it apart and only play the main notes so you can get the feel than add the inside notes and then practice voicing the top note and put it tog. ( work on the fingering too)
I thought it was really good! I'm not a fair person to comment, as I haven't been playing consistently for a while, but considering you'd only been playing, self taught, for 2 years, you're making good progress. As the others said, try to watch other performances, maybe slow them down and try to play along. It's easier to see faults if they're overlapping the professional pieces. Good luck! :D
try to pratice it slowly (it would help your fingers to relax). after which, try to play it a bit faster, and fester until you could play it better :)
I agree...when I learned this piece my fingers always hurt! It helps dramatically to learn pieces like this at a slow tempo at first (especially with all the full chords in the right hand). But anyway, you didn't butcher it! That part is so awkward to play anyway, I usually end up leaving some notes out, lol
Thanks for your messages. Yes, I have played this one, although not good enough to be posted on YouTube. I'm currently working on Chopin's black key study - can play it, but am trying to commit it to memory before I get the camera out.
Thank you for you comment, I play this REALLY bad... but I've never had any piano lessons in my life. Learned on my own. Been playing for two years now. I really admire your Chopin Winter Wind video.
@teresahan1991 finish it! i'm a self taught piano player also (1 year so far) and this is actually really inspiring! i'm thinking of buying the sheet music and trying it out myself
Yeah that's how I play too. Memorize everything. Anyway, you're playing this piece much better than me right now (Only been trying it for 2 days), so great job, keep going! I'd like to see the finished product.
Nice tereshan, hmmm....the only thing that i could think you can improve on this song is....probably be more expressive on those 'piano' and slow parts. When you complete the piece, post it again so i can help =]

be more expressive, it sounds like a robot playing, it sounds like you're concentrating too much on the music
