XD!!!, I've been looking for this sketch for ages. I laughed my head off at it when it originally aired and it still has the same effect on me. So glad I finally found it.
with the exception of the comedies, the BBC has mostly crap on.
and no i'm not some "outsider" American,i live in England and have never liked any of the "drama" on bbc,the movies,or anything else they make that isn't comedy.
The BBC is financed instead by a TV licence fee paid by households. This guarantees that a wide range of high-quality programmes can be made available, unrestricted, to everyone.
The BBC is not permitted to carry advertising or sponsorship on its public services. This keeps them independent of commercial interests and ensures that they can be run instead to serve the general public interest.
If the BBC sold airtime either wholly or partially, advertisers and other commercial pressures would dictate its programme and schedule priorities. There would also be far less revenue for other broadcasters.
wow i am so sad...this is the first time i have seen shooting stars and i love it!!! its so funny i love all these kinds of shows, dead ringers little britain, and this is another one i have to watch along wit the mighty boosh
Reeves and Mortimer's humour is a mixture of northeast England and general British humour. They're both from the northeast. Check the Geordie Jeans sketch :))
Very funny. xD

BBC? why the Nissan adverts then????!!!!
andeegreen 2 years ago
They have ads on BBC Worldwide so that they can afford not to have adverts on BBC 1,2,3 and 4 in Britain.

no, the licence fee is the reason why we don't have ads on 1,2,3&4 in Britain mate
andeegreen 2 years ago
this advertising definitely contributes a lot of money towards the bbc funds as well

oh right, is that why I just saw commercials between episodes of EastEnders on the Sunday Omnibus? Stupido!
andeegreen 2 years ago
For a start why the fuck would you watch eastenders? Secondly if you were watching it on TV or iPlayer then you are lying. So...
