Lenin did not trust Stalin at all. Trotsky was supposed to be the next leader. Stalin pulled the strings from the background, propped himself up as new leader, and erased Leon Trotsky from existence. (edited pictures, books, etc.). Stalin had his secret police track down Trotsky and kill him. They killed him with a pickaxe through the skull. (through the eyeball to be specific.)
The Communist triumvirate were all as bad as each other. Lenin sanctioned the Red Terrors, Stalin sanctioned the purges. Trotsky sanctioned Krondstadt. They killed people who disagreed with them. Trotsky didn't kill as many because he didn't want to dirty his hands with the administrative work necessary to achieve high office in the Kremlin. And Lenin mistrusted Trotsky too, as his final will demonstrates, when he said neither monster should be allowed to succeed him.

Stalin however did come from a poor background in Georgia. Most historians are pretty much agreed on that. If stalin's father was wealthy before it certainly wasn't while Stalin was growing up. Inly now can we be sure about this stuff though, due to the immense censorship.

However ideaologically they both were largely in agreement. Also Lenin disliked pretty much all of his heirs, Trotsky included. It was Lenin who created the secret police, Lenin who opened the concentration camps, Lenin who censored the free press (with 48 hrs in power) Stalin was just a faithful follower.
He was a bloodthirsty monster who sanctioned the deaths of millions. He abolished religion and made himself a secular God. He had no qualms about killing those who disagreed with him because he though the Revolution was final and not subject to democratic demands. If the people disagreed with it, Lenin didn't care. He 'knew' what was best for them. Remember, the Red Terror began under Lenin, and was indeed sanctioned by him after being advised by Stalin.

Marx said society went through stages. Ancient, Feudal, Capitalist then there would inevitably be a socialist revolution. After the collapse of Wall Street in 1929, after didn't come Socialism. After the German's greatest economic depression, follwed Facism, likewise in Italy and Spain. Today, I doubt there will be a Socialist or Fascist in that case. Interesting that.

Lenin did not trust Stalin at all. Trotsky was supposed to be the next leader. Stalin pulled the strings from the background, propped himself up as new leader, and erased Leon Trotsky from existence. (edited pictures, books, etc.). Stalin had his secret police track down Trotsky and kill him. They killed him with a pickaxe through the skull. (through the eyeball to be specific.)

In the Tambov rebellion there were many incidents where peasants armed with pitchforks and other farming tools, attacked machine gun positions.

Ulyanov needed Jughashvili to appeal to the starving masses. But what this guy didn't tell the people is that Jughashvili too came from a quiete well off background at the time. Stalin's father was actually very wealthy before he went bankrupt and started drinking. Very few of these bolsheviks, if not any came from the background they claimed to have represented. Its hard to tell who did because USSR falsified their background. Only in 1991 files started to open up.

Stalin however did come from a poor background in Georgia. Most historians are pretty much agreed on that. If stalin's father was wealthy before it certainly wasn't while Stalin was growing up. Inly now can we be sure about this stuff though, due to the immense censorship.

However ideaologically they both were largely in agreement. Also Lenin disliked pretty much all of his heirs, Trotsky included. It was Lenin who created the secret police, Lenin who opened the concentration camps, Lenin who censored the free press (with 48 hrs in power) Stalin was just a faithful follower.

He was a bloodthirsty monster who sanctioned the deaths of millions. He abolished religion and made himself a secular God. He had no qualms about killing those who disagreed with him because he though the Revolution was final and not subject to democratic demands. If the people disagreed with it, Lenin didn't care. He 'knew' what was best for them. Remember, the Red Terror began under Lenin, and was indeed sanctioned by him after being advised by Stalin.
