WHAT?! I thought Spencer came to some sort of agreement that was happy for everyone and that his wife knew about Kate and Spencer's affair.. wow it was even a secret from his wife as well as most other people at the time. I wonder if Kate and Spence had any friends they could openly speak of their secret with. I've gotta finish Kate's autobiography yet!

xxcharmed1xx, I didn't know Spencer's family didn't want her there. Although I'm sure your conclusion is probably pretty correct! When Hepburn talks of why she didn't attend, it sounded like it was her decision. She says something like "I didnt go to the funeral, it was over".. if you can get The Philadelphia Story on DVD, on the second disc she talks about it, but I had a feeling there was more to it. If someone else has the info on the Tracy family situation I'd be interested to know too!
