  • Is this the international air tattoo

  • @stargolem12 Yes.

  • Wow!! Thanks for uploading!! ;)

  • wonderful aircraft

  • Ive seen this plane at a couple of airshows in the past few years, awesome power and capable of maneuvers that ive never seen any other aircraft perform, reminds me in a way of the old RAF lightning..

  • god damn like a rocket

  • That was at the Royal international air Tattoo, I loved the displays and every aircraft going there amazing show!

  • @ukajh Pardon - what did you say?

  • @alanstarkie2001 - What a way to go deaf though - I would gladly lose my hearing if it got me up close to the Typhoon.

  • I do'nt care where you're from, you can't deny, that was impressive.

  • he trim

  • i knew id find one comment about americans in this fucking video some brits need to just get over themselves seriosly..

  • @houshidar558 Same with all nationalities, there are sensible people and idiots in every country....

  • @wks1978 yes, and alot of british have that attitude it sometimes makes me think there all like that but no.

  • this is my dream..

  • yeah, it's ashame really

  • "Climbs like a home-sick angel"

  • Nice film, thanks for sharing. I too saw this bad boy at the airshow in Leuchars (2010) and it was hugely impressive. Noisy bugger though :-)

  • the eurofighters are deafaningly loud eh? i hope you had them ear muff things to stop the sound if you were that close! i saw them at leuchars air show a few weeks ago, epic plane but friggin loud!

  • just another day in work that shiz!

  • In 2004, United States Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper said after flying the Eurofighter, "I have flown all the air force jets. None was as good as the Eurofighter."[114][115] Wikipedia doesnt lie...

  • This video should be renamed '2 minutes of boring footage ,followed by 27 secs of take off!'

  • nice video, but not a impresive airplane.

  • Really nice video, but not an impresive airplane.

  • sat in that very plane at RAF conningsby 29 sqn :)

  • Can somebody, who really does know something about this aircraft, tell me where is it's Mauser cannon placed at? I need to know the exact location and I find it nowhere :\

  • @OctopuPilot Mauser cannon, it only have 8 hard-points for missiles and bombs.

  • @GattiF50 actually it has a cannon, 8 under wing hardpoints and 5 under fuselage hard points

  • @guywholikespie1 britain doesn't have cannons in their typhoon

  • @OctopuPilot i think the cannon is placed on the left wing, near to the central fuselage

  • I really hope I get to fly one of these when I'm older.

  • Saw one of these at southend airshow, thing did some nuts hover minouver like a harrier. quite amazing!

  • WOWW! that was such a quick rotation :))

  • What was that dirty smudge along the fuselage in the mid section of the wing? Some hot gas outlet? Sure will make that section hot and another inviting homing spot for an IR AAM? Great looking aircraft and performance to match and will it standup to the Su 35?

  • great video love it got a couple myself video`s not the plane lol take alook cheers.

  • beautiful takeoff

  • haha, shit, its not quite climb to 300 feet and take off flap is it... but its what i want to do :(

  • what is that black mark on the side of the aircraft?

  • @alexztyphoon That black mark is the exaust from when it is starting up it's engines

  • @MrDJSilky: I thought it's the exhaust of the power generator for the electrical systems.

  • @albedoshader Oh well it might be then i just know that its definatly an exaust

  • @MrDJSilky It's actually the exhaust from the APU

  • Comment removed

  • wow 7 secs and it is off the ground from its first move after building thrust though but still... 7 secs

  • I have no info if a Typhoon ever achieved lock on an F-22. I seriously doubt it. There was an 'Rumour during' case white where a Typhoon was pounced on by a pair of F15 Strike Eagles, the Typhoon pilot achieved lock on both aircraft.

  • your right about the EF took out 2 F-15 and an F-16 in a mock dog fight, seriously doubt that the EF did get a lock on to a F22 like you said as the F22 during another simulation carried out in alaska were one F22 took out 186 aircraft, those aircraft being F-15's, F-16's, and F-18's

  • The F-22 takes about 2 seconds longer to get in the air in the video: raptor take-off with fighting falcon compare

  • Jesus, why do Americans always go mental when someone questions whether the F22 is less than Godly. Besides, it's only another plane they can use to bomb their allies with.

  • -"Jesus, why do Americans always go mental when someone questions whether the F22 is less than Godly"

    That's a good question...

-"Besides, it's only another plane they can use to bomb their allies with."

Asinine comments like THIS might have something to do with it. ;)

  • @em745aa Well obviously nothing can touch the F-22, but that doesn't mean that other aircraft aren't as cool.

  • @YZach cant touch it in terms of price tag LOLOL

  • great video thanks for sharing, just had a typhoon do a low level simulated strafe along the road i live on up on the yorkshire wolds, then afterburners on and in the blink of me eye he was off vertical and gone...awesome plane

  • Yeah, it's cool when things like that happen :)

  • That is one beast of a jet, i love it :)

Saw it at Waddington today, great display as ever

  • well said

  • -"But it was also penned against a Eurofighter, and got 'shot down'."

    Any online proof of this?

(And no, speculative ramblngs from EF fanbois is NOT proof.)

  • -"there is no proof of this which you can find online"

Again, speculative ramblngs from EF fanbois (in forum postings) is _NOT_ proof. The China Lake story has been debunked.

-"why is it so shocking that the typhoon locked onto the f-22? it is possible"

Because _NONE_ of the official channels and news media have _EVER_ said anything about it... not even eurofighter.c om.

  • -"Yet there are plenty of videos on here produced by aviation experts that clearly tell the F22 is a heap of shit not worth investing in"

    weeklystandard.c om/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/014/706lixzd.asp

    ausairpower.n et/typhoon.html

    theregister.c o.u k/2004/05/25/mod_leak/

    savetheroyalnavy.o rg/articles/2007/11/great-eurofighter-debacle-nemesis-of-rn.html

Reality is, EVERY weapons systems has its critics, and not all of them are "experts"... and certainly a LOT of them are biased.

  • Did an EF 2000 really lock on to a f-22?!?!?!

  • -"Did an EF 2000 really lock on to a f-22?"

    No.

  • -"yes"

    *NO!*

    (Fucking turds.)

  • Comment removed

  • THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS NO.

-"sorry old boy better luck next time"

That's right, Misssster Turrrdddd. If you want to base your fanboi beliefs on the wishful (and FALSE) ramblings of a fraudulent hack of a "journalist," be my guest. :)

Nobody--and I do mean _NOBODY_--from official EU or US military or news channels has ever cited Jon Lake's fable as fact.

Not even the consortium is bragging about it... BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED. Live with it, Turd.

  • The USA is a huge country, and was only occupied in less than 5% of the land all told. Plenty of "Native Americans" are still here, who by the way migrated from Europe themselves. You Frenchies don't fight any wars last time I checked. How quick did you guys surrender to Hilter? And how many American young mens gave their lives for your freedom? I remember seeing the Memorials to those brave souls and there were thousands of grave markers. Lighten up pal.

  • Well, we have a commie in power now, so all that for nothing. Look bro, like I said I love being an American, or I should say having been an American. We patriots in America have nothing left, our nation is in ruins, and we are occupied by a foreign nationist, and a communistic congress. Will you guys come save our asses now, please?

  • same with britian, it is no longer "great" anymore, yobbos, chavs and youth have changed this once great nation into shit, once every young lads dream was to fly in the raf, sail in the navy, or fight in the army, sadly i am one of the only ones left, a true patriot, all todays youth want to do is get pissed and get drugged up, what a waste

  • @OBORU You stink. Like cheesy shit.

  • And that's why the leaders of Britian and France came to America and asked for help. No, least for now Americans are still free, and don't listen to just one man. Look, I am proud of America, and you're proud of our country. Have a great day.

  • 1 star. Europeans don't know how to build fighter planes.

  • that is one hell of a nice acceleration :)

  • This vid was not stuck on specialy for people to bicker over.

  • FF to 2:00

  • Europe when working together on such projects can achieve great things such as this plane, concorde and whatever else i don't know about :P

  • that plane is SWEET!!!!!!!!! greetings from usa.

  • Just curious...was that an APU or some kind of tiny turbine exhaust above the left wing?

  • yes

  • The Typhoon is out-dated and a waste of money. It was out-dated before it even went into production...

  • My info is from the "Horses mouth" Calm down its only a plane that probably will never see combat in air to air..

  • nice, it can pretty much land and takeoff anywhere in anyplace...cool. Sadly in the future if either the SU, F-22, or Eurofighter ever meet up as enemies, alot of good pilots would die as a result.

  • Yeah that's endless power!!!!!

  • Does a Eurofighter Typhoon have a higher thrust to weight ratio than a F15 Eagle. Does anybody know????

  • Yes ET is lighter and has no need to use reheat for take - off dry power only 40,000 Lbs of thrust !. F-15 not in same league !

  • Watched two of these dog fighting over Wisbech (England) today, very impressive! And noisy!

  • Amazing take-off ! Seen these at Leuchars - some noise from them . Great aircraft

  • lol, that thing could take off in your drive way!

  • Not a lot - but it was!

  • Just wait for the f35, both the Usa and the UK are getting the fantastic plane

  • The Typhoon's a beast, I'm so happy our air force finally has something that can beat the stuff that the bad guys are flying. I personally think the F-22 is just a little better than the Tiffie due to its greater combat t/w ratio, stealth & thrust vectoring, but it's an awful lot more expensive too, and it'll be working with us anyway 'cos the USA ain't selling that to anyone for a looong time, if ever.

  • BLOODY HELL!!! will all of you idiots who are pretending to know what the hell your on about shut the fuck up, why all the competition? both countires have done amazing to come up with such fantastic and advanced fighter jets, SO END OF!!!!!

  • No it doesn't, he was talking about what the F-22 could shoot down not why it would shoot a plane down.

  • Does anybody care about what would win? lets just be happy they are both on our side.

  • Exacly! These two planes together could rule the skies easily.

  • f22 is easily detected by typhoons v advanced radar. That thing is like a spaceship

  • Also, I honestly couldent care less what's better the F-22 or Typhoon, what I care about is the fact that we're making planes for ourselves and not using American jets.

  • I think the F-22 would shoot down the eurofighter before it has even seen anything, because the F-22 is a stealth plane and it would see the eurofighter before the eurofighter sees the F-22 on the radar. Not that i don't think the eurofighter is an awesome plane though.

  • Why the hell would the F-22 shoot down the Typhoon anyway?

  • That doesn't have anything to do with what I just said...

  • what??? american pilots are not the best

  • anyways u are wrong the eurofighter will have CEASAR and meteor + new engines EJ270 with probably TVC... so bye bye raptor

  • Well we can't say anything since we haven't seen the F-22 in actual combat yet. You know, in the Red Flag excersizes that Britain participates in as well as many other countries, the F-22 has a perfect kill score with 0 losses in simulation.

  • I'm sorry but I have to pull you up on this.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I think if you check you'll find that neither the Typhoon or the F-22 have participated in Red Flag yet. Red Flag starts next week I think.

I know that the Typhoon is scheduled to take part this year. I'm not sure about the Raptor although one would have to assume that it would.

  • The F-22 has participated in Red Flag excersizes.

  • Yeah have to take missile locking on in effect, if the missile cannot lock on, then you can't shoot it down in a dogfight or it's unlikely. The F-22 is very maneuverable too, but to be honest, it's really rare that the F-22 would be in a dogfight.

  • The EuroFighter and F-22 are the best aircraft on this planet. But I think in a 1 vs 1 dogfight I think the F-22 would win because of its stealth and weapons capabilities. Eurofighter would probably put up one hell of a fight though. The F-22 hasn't seen combat yet so its true capabilities are estimations. But I'm sure it would do much better than what is said.

  • stop comparing the f-22 and the typhoon, they are both very different aircraft. they have their own strengths and weaknesses. BOTH are great bits of aero engineering....

  • The Euro fighter can go supersonic without using afterburners, and the agility is amazing.

  • ur actully right!!

  • and yet, the Eurofighter would get blown out of the sky before it ever knew where the F-22 was, taking that huge payload to the ground with it. bummer.

  • Because you know so much about fighter jets dont you?. Bummer. With most people its the blind talking about the daylight.

  • I'm not saying the Eurofighter is a poor fighter. It is one of the best in the world. It's maneuverability, acceleration, and payload may well be superior to the F-22 (though I doubt the maneuverability one). However, these are all sacrifices made by the Raptor to give it the far superior stealth capabilities that render the firepower of the Eurofighter useless. But hey, it's a great plane, and more affordable, right?

  • the F-22 can and did own the EF

  • do you really think, that the europeans give all the data about the ef to the americans so they can test it on their computers??? I dont think so.

  • Also the USAF would not admit that the ef kicked the raptors a**. Caues in the US its all about the patriotism and the recruitment. they need more pilots for the "best" aircraft in the world, am i right? right!

  • dude they do NOT need pilots for hte F-22 there r so many pilots wanting to fly it its not funny still even if they did not brag about it ppl would still wanna fly it plus there r still alot of secrets in that jet that only the pilots know and a select few. nothing is stoping it for a good 30-40 years but by then there will be a new advanced F-22 and that would kick the one out right now in the ass

  • you can set the difficulties on a computer. ive done that in a simulator bro, or you can make it easy

  • ok but its not on easy dificulty. they make it so its even harder than real life.
