  • I dont careif it is a machine. A human can do "The robot" way better than this guy

  • Kill it now. Does no one watch terminator? They are trying to teach these robots how to think

  • @ZupeyKivo lmfao!!!! I laughed till my stomach hurt when I read this thanks!!

  • Stay alive another 30 years and we will have one in our livingroom doing much more than what asimo can do now.

  • Hope to god the brains at Honda who build the ASIMO are also working on their cars too.

  • It's range of motion and spacial recognition is totally remarkable. And even though I know that ASIMO is an acronym, I still get a kick out of it being one letter away from "Asimov", my favorite sci-fi writer of what else -? Robots! Is there any robot more advanced than ASIMO? I submit that there is not! Amazing technology! Ingenious!!!

  • siri from apple in asimo would be amazing

  • He walks like he is on his way to the can after drinking too much coffee. Be sure to see "Human Robot" by weldrocks

  • his name should be awesomeo

  • Kind of a cool thought that one day there will be a real Bender....maybe its just me lol

  • Can i have him by SUBSCRIBING?

  • this robot makes me happy.. it's like a glimpse of the future

  • Its v-tec kicked in yo

  • @2cool0 its a joke try to Laugh insted of making that type of comment

  • :trololo:

  • LOLOLOLO asimo sounds like aweom-o!!!! ERIC cartmen is inside it!

  • ASIMO IS A MOVIE IDEA MACHINE, TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND IDEAS AND ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND STARRING ADAM SANDLER!!!

  • who else watched Goku on 1:31???

  • I AM NOT SAYING OPPOSE THIS CHANGE

BUT GOVERNMENTS AROUND THE WORLD MUST START TO PREPARE FOR THE WORKERLESS SOCIETY OR FACE ALL OUT CIVIL WAR IN EVERY COUNTRY AS PEOPLE DESPERATE FOR A DECENT LIVING RISE UP TO PROTECT THEIR FAMILIES INTEREST.

IT IS COMING - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED BY THE CONSUMER DEFENCE LEAGUE.

  • This is the biggest threat to the working class people ever. Once these machines prices come down to that of the average anual wage of two workers then every company in the world will buy or rent them instead of employing people.

When this happens, what will the common people do for a living in a money driven capitalist world.

What point will there be in learning a trade, going to school, college, university in the hope of getting a decent job when a robot can do it batter 24/7.

  • asimo+weapons

  • yes. But dose it have v-tech

  • 3:57 - 3:60 big word detected!

  • @vamtheanomaly 3:60 is 4

  • @TheNevenem Infantesimal or however you spell it.

  • Cooolllll robot

  • ASMIO IS THE WORLD GREATEST ROBOT EVER!!!

  • oh no ASIMO arch enemy THE ...STAIRS!!!

  • that would be perfect for war, just needs too move faster, and alot of reprograming

  • Asimo got a sweet strut

  • those kids are right it is inspiring ! pity I will be long dead before its awsome power will be realized

  • @crumplezone1

i might not be that far into the future. Right now though, scientists are focusing on communications technology more than anything. Instead of making Asimo better, they are trying to figure out how to make our iphones flatter....

  • @fromstart2finish hahahahaha yeah

  • bet if you turned the terminator over its stamped powered by honda

  • Yes. But will it blend?

  • "The potential of ASIMO is infinitesimal" Doesn't infinitesimal mean really, really small?

  • ok, i just realised he said infinitesimal, which means small. So in short he said. "we are limited to what we can do with Asimo" then contradicts himself and says "you can really do anything with Asimo"

  • What the heck to that guy say at the end? "The potential for Asimo" blonde guy says something. what was it?

  • OMG 1:32 I LOL'D

  • 1:32 WOAHHHH WTH?!?!

  • 1 person is from toyota

  • haha, the last comment. Tried to sound smart by using a "big word", but had no idea what it means. "the potential ASIMO's is infinitesimal" ... lol ... translastes to: "ASIMO's potential is so small, it's not even possible to measure how small it is"

vote up so the people not knowing the meaning of the word also can have a chuckles

  • @sawman85 ya i laughed a little, but that is going to go over about 98% of people.

  • Does Asimo control itself (As in it's AI that responds to it's surroundings) or is it pre-programmed?

  • @Ghost00117 Mixture of both at this point

  • @weefek Mixture of both? How do you know? What exactly is the mix? Sorry for all the questions, it's just that this is really intriguing to me.

  • @Ghost00117 Well, think of it this way. You're in a building / room you've never been in before. Someone tells you to grab some blank paper from the closet on the other side of the building. They give you quick directions to get there and you use what you see and your intellect and decision making skills to get there yourself. So you didn't quite do it on your own, you had some external input, but you used your senses / intelligence to find the right spot and grab what you were asked to.Similar.

  • @weefek That's what I'm getting at. Lets say Asimo is put in a 2 story house and told to get a blue coffee mug from the upper floor. Would Asimo be able to do that on it's own? Would Asimo be able to climb the stairs, look from room to room, and find the blue coffee mug only knowing that it's been told that it's somewhere on the upper floor?

  • @Ghost00117 No, not in those simple terms. I was giving a mere example. It's actually much more complex than that. I don't think they have developed it's decision making skills (or vision system) to that extreme. I believe the main technical goals of the project were to be able to program simple moves, movements, etc, with the focus on limb movement, balance, speed, continuity, etc.

  • @weefek And of course, being able to sense the stairs, height of each step, the edge of the stage, etc.

  • @weefek Right because developing a system that could recognize things like stairs, doors, computers, etc. just by looking at them is quite a feat in itself. Then adding the ability to interact with said objects. Seems really insane when you think about it.

  • @Ghost00117 It's pretty intense. The math and theory behind the scenes that makes everything work is quite complicated. Not to mention the hardware that runs it. Awesome stuff!!

  • @Ghost00117 But even the stairs may be entirely preprogrammed, I'm not sure.

  • Respond to this video... depends on what it's doing

  • I was there!

  • SideDriver wheels are here... Re-invent how YOU drive. wwwDOTsidedriverDOTcom

  • in·fin·i·tes·i·mal ( n f n- -t s -m l). adj. 1. Immeasurably or incalculably minute. 2. Mathematics Capable of having values approaching zero as a limit.

  • This is the same demo they've been showing us for years now, where's the new developments? The progression? The "more forward please"?

  • @RetroRepair I KNow right...maybe there not raising enough money or just keeping it a secrete

  • they should make a ninjasimo and a kungfusimo and have a battle hahaha

  • @stevensrise -.-

  • All these people are amazed at this "new" technology. Asimo has been around for 11 years! and its not even impressive! youtube some of Boston Dynamics's creations. now THOSE are impressive.

  • @65macky its pretty impresive it reads lips too

  • @karlaabc123 not that impressive. my kinect does that.

  • @65macky well what i mean is its improving over the years. just as kinects will improve.. its amazing that soon they will tell us about there secret military crap that we'll use in our homes

  • Burn it! Humans must strike first!

  • i wonder what would happen if Asimo and my WII has sex... lmfao

  • When are they going to make a new one? This Asimo is old

  • Only if Chevy had the world's most advanced humanoid robot, I could understand them making fun of Honda's lawn mower saying "How do can we compete with that?" Well Chevy, compete with this.

  • If a robot does "The Robot", is it still considered "The Robot" or is it just dancing??

  • It would be nice to see ASIMO not doing the same pre-programed animation and do something different each time. I cant wait till artificial intelligence gets to the point where people no longer have to act and know a script that matches up to ASIMO's programed responses.

  • asimo's been around. seems like they haven't done much to him over the years

  • @x13killer Actually, they're been perfecting it. There was a time when it couldn't walk up stairs. Now, it can walk up AND down stairs AND it can run!! I'd say that was a LOT.

  • @Kevbox2008 yeah but that was still a couple of years ago wasn't it? I remember going to one of these events when it couldn't run, but that was a pretty far back.

  • Amazing. This is something we never though off back in the days

  • Little did they know, there's actually a little Japanese man inside.

  • i saw ASIMO when it came to dallas a few years back, great refinements

  • I think is great as far as the mechanical part, being able to walk is not easy, but as far as the AI which I think is the most important part... they havent really work on, they are still using the guides on the floor, and virtual map established in the memory of the robot, basically making this an animatronic that can move around... now imagine what would've happen If you had move the the stairs a couple centimeters... fail.

  • the future is only limited by our imagination!!! Never stop dreaming! Dream it and these FIRST kids will "make it so ensign" !

  • whenever i see him running i think of megaman !

  • how is it controlled?

  • @fifafan1 Its programmed to listen to commands, imitate others, and interact with its environment,

  • Why aren't they using Asimo to help shut down the nuclear plant in Japan?

  • @seachordjr their plant isnt having a nuclear meltdown the media just says it will to get rating and such, A nuclear plant can be shut down fairly easy

  • LOVE! hope Honda will continue to inspire future engineers! the Power of Dreams!

  • Does this mean my Civic is going to turn into Optimus Prime?

  • @radair86 not just yet, but soon!

  • @radair86 im worried about my accord, lol

  • @radair86 It already does, its just a toy story kind of deal.. they dont do anything when you're watching

  • Thats awesome ! Honda keep up the good work!
