Oh, and if you have a PS1 and want to play something really atmospheric, then go for Silent Hill - Not this one.

Shooting isn't the point of this game. Of course it's clunky. It's survival horror. You're supposed to be overwhelmed by the enemies as opposed to an action game where they take hardly any shots to kill and you are given tons of ammo. Every time I clear this game I have extra ammo because there's no point in killing anything but bosses in these games. You're supposed to run from the t-rex after you meet the doctor btw.

It's pretty well established that Mark and this whole show is biased towards action-heavy games, so don't get butthurt when they blast something that's not up their alley.

Whilst they raise some good points with this review - yes it's slower than RE and the shooting is slow, the game is still enjoyable if you're looking for a horror experience, not an action one (the sequel is more of an action game though).

Personally, I used to run away from the dinos in this game, or would shoot them with a tranquiliser dart.

This is Dino Crisis: Walk and shoot

and Resident Evil: stand and shoot

If CAPCOM plan on Rebooting this game, then they should fix the controls. 2 buttons do the same thing, and the L2 button is useless(that button could have come in handy during critical moments) and the battle system can be somewhat like Resident Evil.

@xxabooodxx100 Do you compare this to RE 0-3 and Code Veronica, or the two latest? RE4 was great gameplay wise and it was a RE in a sense. RE5 was so far off the line it doesn't even belong to the RE world IMO.

RE 0-3 and Code Veronica characters have always pretty much been weak and illogical although they're supposed to be well trained fighters. Unlike RE, DC1 characters had a professional edge.
