fishing there is terrible though. far too much pressure. catfish wont take the bait because they get fed so much, and bass just ignore lures because theyre used to them.
ive seen over 25 people on this little pond at once, it was two days after restocking, and nobody caught anything.
@TheBombBros oh yeah? they have a fishing tournament every year. one year, someone caught 50 bluegill. and another year, i caught 33 catfish. and i've caught a white catfish there before. and i've caught a 19 and a half pound catfish there at a tournament one year aswell. so why dont u back off and go give it another shot
@sableantelope77 I am not saying there is no fish, I just caught 18 bass in one day there in early june. But I know of places that are far better, I caught a 40lb blue catfish on 14lb line at Powerton. Eagle creek is a private pond where I caught 38 bass in 2 days. I have fished tourneys I know how they work. I am part of the BNBC (Bloomington Normal Bass Club) and everyone kind of avoids this lake, unless necessary. We were the ones who just stocked it and held the kids tounement.
@sableantelope77 Nothing against anyone here, just I am not a huge fan of the lake. I fish the Mackinaw river and Evergreen lake mostly. Look at my channel I have a video of my 40lb blue cat.
