If he came 'unexpectedly' do you think the show would have drawn as much as it did? His return was advertised as a means to garner interest. Yeah, your scenario was pretty cool, and I'd love to see that, but you should also be able to see why WWE promoted his return prior, the way they did.

Unfortunately the longly awaited return and storyline with Vince was at terrible timing. Not knocking the younger fan base, but the main fans of the WWE at this time; kids, didn't recognize how monumental this was. The return of Bret and his storyline with Vince. Unfortunately because of this, the storyline and return isn't as credited as it rightfully deserves to be.

@PsychoDude99 No doubt. It could have been so much bigger if this happened back in 2005. Of course, these guys I guess weren't ready to get over it in 2005. Regardless, I spent so much time on Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels rivalry that this was so god damn huge and such a relief to see end.

I'm like "dude, Cena can't even 'wrestle'... if you want to see a TRUE wrestler, then you need to see Bret Hart, because no one, not even Kurt Angle, was better than Bret!"

@TheRaletalk Actually he took a big time pay cut as WCW's offer was for 3 Million a year and instead he took WWF's 1.5 Million a year contract. He left because he was being pushed out by Hunter and Shawn and just wasn't happy with the way he was being used which was completely true. So next time use your brain before you post such asinine comments...

@TheRaletalk Actually "idiot", Vince at first said that he didn't know if he was going to be able to afford his contract anymore and that he was going to see what he could do. Later on Vince said that money was no longer a problem and when he told Bret what he had planned for him is when Bret decided to leave.
By the way I think turning down 3million a year for 3 years to take 1.5million a year for 3 years (as a wrestler) is taking a pay cut, how don't you understand that....
