It would be so much easier if there was more dump so she was sitting lower. I don't know why they make you sit on such a flat surface in rehab. I make sure all of my wheelchair's are at least 4 inches lower in the rear of the seat now and it helps with pushing a lot! I've been a C6 complete quad. since 2004.
Hi my name is Gary, I'm a C-6 quad since 1984, after my accident I went to rehab then home. My family is a big part of where i'm at today. I'm still in the chair but over the years I've built up my strength so I transfer from my chair to bed and to my vehicle without a sliding board, I have good balance. I started working in a machine shop in customer service in 1988 and have been working ever since. Just wanted to say Hi and hope you're doing well.
Well done Kristyn for showing your first wheelchair trial. It is very hard starting off, and people think it is easy. With practice the arm muscles build up. I now have no problems with hills in my chair, and my range is approx four miles. I intend never giving in to an electric chair as it means no exercise. Exercise keeps the spirits up. Infact I wheeled the sports relief mile last year, it is great being able to join in. I wish you all the best.
Sorry the quality is so bad, im not sure what happened to the quality in the transfer from the camera to the computer to YouTube. Its much clearer directly from the camera. Turn up volume if you want to here her voice!
