In my opinion this show is actually live. Mariah was in great condition their vocals, the CD version was only put in a better tone to his voice as the music had not been performed live many times and Mariah likes to analyze their performance. She actually sang live and did not need retouching. It is remarkable that his tone vareia much, and it makes sure that we went live.

She lips because she wants to put on a great show for her fans and audience - if Mariah missed a note, it would be in the papers, so she has to make sure she doesn't! She's a clever business woman. And FLAB was live ;).

Look at I Stay In Love at the AMA's. She hit those F#5's like "it's nothing!", and then Don't Forget About Us at the AMA's - technical issues plagued the performance, but she did every single bit live. Whistle and the long belt - she doesn't need to lip at all, she just chooses to for security.

I don't think this is dubbed though because this was televised hours after being recorded and there was no time for dubbing. Plus the beginning is a bit off-key to be dubbed. Ther are a lot of vocal layers, that's all. I mean all producers who work with Mariah have said she has that buttery tone, which, when in top shape, makes it sound dubbed. I have sung my whole life, I know what I'm talking about.

I don't think the beginning is off-key at all, those are the best "Ooooh"'s she's ever performed live.
