  • This scooter is a piece of junk. I makes a clunking noise which neither Pride will do anything about nor the dealer. Pride told me all of the scooters make this noise. Do NOT buy one.

  • @juneyoung The 'clunking' noise you are so upset about is the electromagnetic brake being released. It is operated by a heavy duty spring which forces the brake on unless the electromagnet is energised, by the controller sending a 24v supply to the solenoid, which then pushes with more force against the spring to release the brakes so you can drive. Standard on ALL mobility scooters. The clunking is the solenoid activating.

    That is why Pride will not fix. It isn't faulty!
