1:14 to 1:25, that is a real world short effective technique. That particular "move" will effect almost immediate death or life long injury. That particular technique will immediately turn an enemy into a non effective combatant. For best effect, leave the knife in the throat and or lower jaw and nasal cavity. At that point you can do whatever you like with your combatant. Mind you if you have more then one combatant you are dealing with, remove knife, solar plexis stab, slash down.

Just remember that when you're unable to get your gun out because some knifer a-hole/thug catches you unaware and already has the blade in and out your guts 9 or 10 times. Unless the bastard brandishes on you, it's unlikely you'll ever clear the holster with your CCW. Guns are the subservient tool of awareness and as usual, distance/surprise negates reaction time and being surprised negates fine motor skill.

let me educate you on CQB (that's Close Quarters Battle just in case you were unaware).

Whether you are a civilian with a concealed carry permit or a military or law enforcement officer carrying a pistol, if someone "comes right at you with a knife moron" you take a step back or to the side while simultaneously drawing the weapon, releasing the safety aiming and firing a round to disable -or- kill.

Knife combat can be useful... but not in a gun fight with a skilled gunfighter.

NO ONE will approach you knife drawn and in a slow pace, he will attack slowly from behind or quickly from the front mind you are unsuspecting and you cant carry a gun everywhere. A more practical approach (if you noticed the blade before contact) is to run no matter what arm you have , to get help or to "level the field" seeing as how the attacker has the advantage of a ready weapon,

In the state where I currently reside I can carry a gun everywhere excluding schools, so after being mugged twice damn right I carry a gun. Right out in the open on my right hip a big bastard walker 44 screaming "come n get me" and dont say someone could "draw" my own gun on me A. No one gets that close to me keep a clear mind B. My holster has a snap release. The common thug isnt very tactical so if they see a weapon 9 out of 10 times they wont attack.
