its probally graphix card check to see ur graphics card and the requirements for the game

i have a high end xps on winows vista and when ever i try to tun it says looking for solutions to prblem but at finish sais i have to close ad it will tell me when solution is avalable yea thats reely gona hapen any advice

My friend just installed battlefield 2142 but it crashes and he says "I got a message wile installing it that it hassent been tested on Vista... so that may be a reason?" what should he do to get it working? (Please help.) :/

When I play this punkbuster kicks me because I have vista. Any updates or anything to fix this?

try manually updating punkbuster by going to their website.

Ive heard that when you right click your bf2142.exe and click properties, there is a "run as admin" option... I've ordered vista for tomorrow so I'm not sure about this. I think it has something to do with PB_A starting PB_B on server joining... vista may be stopping PB_B from starting up

to fix this you have to go to EAs website support colummn were it tells u that there is a patch u can download from microsoft that fixes this. It worked for me but i can only play online though better than nothing!

when I start to play BF2142 the screen goes black (right when it starts the .exe) and it says BF2142 has encountered a problem and is now closing

can some1 plz help i could not get bf2142 working on vista but then my frined helped me and he got it working but then like a week later it stoped working when i load the map the bar gets half way and the stops loading then i push ctrl alt delete i go to task manager and it says bf2142 is not responing how do i fix it to get it working so that i can get it to respond and play

maybe its because you "upgraded" not bought a comp with it built in.

download the latest patch then right click and click run as Aministator and it works I've been playing for over a year now

the thing is that you can play the game offline with your unloocks, but as soon you conecting to a onlineserver you will get kicked and only get the messge punkbuster.

try to find a non punkbuster server and play but you will moste of the times be kicked by an admin.

I know that bf2142 arnt design for vista thats way it dosnt work I guess

It does work actually. You'll get kicked by punkbuster with the message "Indequate O/S Priveliges". This is easily solved by starting the game as an administrator (Right Click -> Run as admin)

Aww lucky for some reason whenever I join a game and after about 2 mins I disconnect or freeze and it says Punkbuster but there is no message >.>

I'm not kidding, go to the properties and run as Aministator it worked for me and im playing right now on My Vist laptop.
