Also, Muslims aren't allowed to eat animals that eay other animals. In some cultures, people eat Dogs, Eagles, etc. The pig is an omnivore meaning it eats both vegetarian food and meat so we cannot eat pork. Wine is not allowed to be consumed because of its intoxicating capabilities.

As Muslims, we would argue that since the foundations of Islam can be verified (this is up for dispute of course), and is true - it is better for the child to learn of it; later on, they can verify their faith via reason. This is called "Taffakur" in Islam (deep contemplation).

Don't just pick and choose the verses make sure you include what is before and after the verse so that it isn't pulled out of context and lets have a legitimate conversation.

@EnjoiningKnowlege In reality, arguing that to not teach your child to identify with your own religious beliefs is to assert that doing so is superior in some way to teaching them to identify with it. As Muslims, we would argue that since the foundations of Islam can be verified (this is up for dispute of course), and is true - it is better for the child to learn of it; later on, they can verify their faith via reason. This is called "Taffakur" in Islam (deep contemplation).

To relay, but not to impose, ideology is not indocrination, and I believe the role of the parent should be to guide, like you.
