  • you did farely well from high to low notes that means you have good control of your embochure but i think you should keep it more fluent because it sounds to me tht your just playing it your not enjoying the piece with confidence and emotion

  • i liked the plaing in all but the song sucks im really sorry but the playing was really good

  • haha yeah, it's not the most exciting song, but hey, if the contest requires a piece, you play it . thanks though! :)

  • my teacher says to keep it low so that your audience can actually see you. you dont want to hide behind the stand when performing

  • i totally agree with your comment there. :)

  • One thing that you could possible try: put the stand high, but don't stand directly behind it. Stand off to the side a bit where the audience can still see you but where you can still see the music. Keeping the stand high will help your breathing. Better breathing will result in an even better tone to support the beautiful one that you already have! Eventually when you have the music memorized perfectly you will be able to move it down some..just not too much in case of emergencies. Great Job!

  • nvm

  • what composer?

  • great job!!!

  • btw, totally realized what you meant by rubato xP and I agree. i'm more familiar with Gestohlen, sorry.

  • one more thing*

in your copy of the music, there should be tons of little numbers by trills and grace notes.. why aren't you following their directions? it's very important that you do what is written, otherwise it's wrong. the grace notes are supposed to be played on the down beats. not to mention, they're supposed to be a lot slower.

  • No numbers in the part!

  • I'm sorry.. your tone and vibrato was really nice and all, but you played it way too fast and almost robotically. There was little emotion and it's supposed to be Poco Adagio. Also, there were some wrong notes here and there. Keep working on it though, it's obvious that you have the ability to play it right.

  • The baroque style isn't all there. The tone needs to be darker and more constant. The low notes at the beginning and throughout sounded good. Because this is unaccompinied, those notes need to reflect what a cello would be doing- and they did.

  • sweeeet

  • oh my god you're amazing!!!!!

wow hope you WIN! ; )

im SO impressed! would have never expected something so good from someone so young!!

  • Very nice tone, technique everything was nice!!

  • Cool, excellent, hope you win.
