I am in my final semester of undergrad finance at pace, and I have to say pace is just an overpriced prerequisite for grad school. This is a business school that offers only one six pm accounting class but has 10 classes available for elementary spanish. I only went here cuz they offered me financial aid. Otherwise head to Baruch for half the price. The theater major students are actually very nice people. The finance majors act like jersey shore wannabes.

You're all very good, but I like the stone-faced performance of the bus driver. The drivers in our production would sometimes accidentally let themselves get into the scene.

We did a production of this and our bus driver had "wave goodbye to carolina" just in a bad place in his vocal range and it was always such a disappointment. This bus driver carries that very important phrase very well.

the show takes place in 1964 during the civil rights movement. i was under the impression bus segregation was over at that time.

This song DEMANDS more power. The end needs to have people jumping out of their seats. The vocal energy lacked to point of making this "just another" ensemble piece. Really, HUGE disappointment.

Awesome performance. These kids have serious talent. I do wish some of the vowels were enlongated, but seeing as its theatre, who gives a damn? They kicked ass and took names.

haha you are out of your mind...of course Pace has some problems...but every school does. And also, the people in this cast are extremely talented...more then half of them are out working in the real world...6 of them are on national tours currently.

And if you don't it's okay. But Pace is wonderful. And its not nice to talk about people who have worked very hard to put on a show. I thought the show was great. And who cares if you dont think it's Broadway material it's college. A place to grow and learn how to become a better actor :)

If you have something against the school or the people involved with the program, thats fine. The young girl is Young Violet. She is in a lot of flashbacks and dream scenes. I'm currently in rehearsals for the show, playing Young Violet. And I LOVE IT!!!!

young violet is in quite a few numbers as the story is often told in flashback. Though much of the heavy duty singing is done by Older Violet. Younger Violet has much more dramatic acting to do seeing that much of the flashbacks are key plot points.
