Because she bases them on potential. Yes, both are a boy and girls group but this group has been with her longer. She understands that they have more experience so she puts the harder better moves on this group. It's like school. Why does a six grade teacher but better and more strategic moves on her 6 grade students than her 3rd grade ones. Same thing. And real soon Tub Ntxhais Yaj Sab will catch up too! And then others below them will be saying the same thing.

What is shameful is that Hmong people are INSULTING other Hmong people. Especially when they work so hard year after year, NO, NOT TO LOOK PRETTY ON STAGE, but to form a dance that has at least the littlest & tiniest bit of Hmong Tradition that we can think of. Our dances cheer on the Hmong culture. All the old and young people out there enjoys watching such dances, okay? Honestly, I wouldn't be writing this if there weren't insults about us.

2003 this team lost to sunshine because: kou yang, neng vang lor, niam lis tub, peter lor were the organizers. maiv kiab yaj gave mn sunshine 10,10,10,10,10, in all 5 catagories. this year, this team lost to mn sunshine again, because kou yang became the dance contest manager, neng vaj lor is the new year president, and niam lis tub also back on the back stage. no wonder hmong lub siab tub sab.

the different between kungfu/wushu and/or what you would call "martial arts" and our dances are "strength". our kids's flipping are nearly equal to some of these martial arts accepted that they don't punch with strength... if i would to teach them with heavy punch... they are martial arts themselve already.

it's pretty good for a traditional dance, but the flipping around gets tiring. there should be more variety in the dance--maybe bring more of the traditional moves and make them creative. but the teacher changed the dance a bit too much with the excessive flips from the girls. the boys part--that was pretty good :)

i don't know why you objection to the fliping... but to me and the dancers, that is not a "simple" or easy task which everyone can do... need months of practices. plus, when i was young, i wish i can fly, i wish i can flip over rock, jump over falling loggs, etc. and so, let it be. do something no one else do much could be "ours".

Yes, defending flips was what I was doing. There is really no REAL HMONG kind of dance, if you use your mind and actually THINK. If there is, I want you to list them. Like what? Twisting your hands?
