For some reason no matter how many times I do the far claw ground move (where Freddy stabs the ground and his claws appear bigger from the ground upwards) it never works.
sorry if i ask, but i'm playing a lot Scorpion, and what i dont get, is how you guys make so long combos? and i dont get the trick... always when i want to do another move, so I get a lot of shit for the counter, it always shows me that i did 3 to 4 hits :P can some1 help me? :P

@SuperSlifer2010 The combo that is 49% is till 49%, all I know that they nerfed his nether pain combo, which means he can't chain a force lift after triangle, triangle
an easy 54% combo is jump square, forward x triangle, square , inhanced ground claw then dash forward and jump into the same set up jump square, forward x triangle, square then do mid screen ground claw then far screen ground claw. only uses one bar and is an easy combo. you say 41% well thats low considering he's got easy combos that do an easy 45% off the back
quick question; is it possible to do a ex-sweet dreams on the 41 hit combo since he is at full screen because of the second claw spike attack? It just looks like it's possible, but if not, thats ok too. very nice job on these in the lab videos by the way.

@pie65576 There other issues besides just overpowered characters my friend :) .... Besides, in MKs top 8 at Evo there were 8 different characters used. Most people were expecting nothing but Lao's, Ermacs, and Cyraxs, but there was a lot variation.

Obviously our definition of "update" isn't the same, you think an update is like 1 or 2 new features added to the original, when in this case it's not. It's an entire brand new addition of content. & We all know that UMvC3 is not a "new game", it's MvC3 with a massive amount of DLC, features, rebalancing, & fixes all for a lowered price.

I am strictly a SF player, and I am not disappointed in AE. Sure Yun and Fei are OP, but that is just two characters. Also they are making a free balance patch for it. MK is just as bad with Kung Lao and Raiden.
I disagree that NR is better at pleasing their fans. If you can tell me how they are better I would like to know. Their games, by themselves, certainly dont hold a handle to capcom fighting games in terms of competitive play and depth.

You may not disappointed, but that's far from the reactions of many Capcom fans. Meanwhile, MK fans are still satisfied w/ not blowing their 60 bucks on a game that's going to become obsolete in just a few months.
Im not going to comment on Marvel cos I haven't bought the game. But in terms of SF4, I will gladly take a yearly update if the adds characters and balances things out. You have to realize that SF4 is a very deep game so there will always be new things figured out years after release. Some new things could be cheap and need balancing, others not. So I can see why Capcom are trying to do yearly updates.
Also, So far I have paid, 115 bucks for SF4 since it released since 2008. That is about 40 bucks a year. 40 bucks a year for a game I play daily is fucking amazin, especially since it has such depth. MK on the other hand has already been figured out completely. For a game that just released, for it to be already maxed out is kind of a rip off. 80 bucks for 1 game that is completely figured out in 2-3months vs 115 bucks for a game that has still not been figured out 100% in 3 years?
@Glutenbob But there's no time to figure out Capcom's games given that they keep re-releasing it. SF4 now has three different iterations and the two previous ones are now obsolete. You're basically comparing MK9 to three different games. You may be willing to spend that much money on temporary games but other SF fans are pissed off. Also, you can't just excuse what they've done to MVC3 just b/c you don't play it.
Furthermore, MVC2 has over a decade in which people have already figured out everything in the game. Yet fans never had to pay each year just to continue enjoying it. That's great value for a game. With MK9, people continue to play the same game online and enjoy the DLC's. New content should always be downloadable and re-balancing patches should always be free. Not sold as yet another disc to make the other one a waste of time & money.
3 different games would imply that you have 3 different game engines. The universal mechanics of SF still remain intact. So its still the same game, with tweaks to characters. Also, I am not excusing what they did with MvC3, I think its bogus that they released a "beta" version of the game and are still not releasing the complete version with UmvC3. I just dont want to comment on it cos I dont possess the game.
@Glutenbob Many sequels use the same game engine over and over (ex: Megaman). And I've already addressed the tweaks that Capcom is selling to their fans. Bottom line, if many of their own fans feel that they're being ripped off, then they're doing things wrong.
@Glutenbob MK is faaaaaaarr from figured out my friend. People just recently figured out Jax and Sektor were legit characters...as well as Kitana a while back. In fact, most of the characters haven't even been fully explored to their full potential.
@twistedkatana1 thats funny, i haven't heard about cyrax dominating any tournaments......not EVO, not even locals........you would think if the combo you're talking about were practical, he'd be the people's choice! so yeah, be quiet.
@DSPGaming it is VERY practical. i was at the PDP tournament back in may and cyrax was king over there. unlike you i actually compete in this game and stay involved with the mk community. when you fight cyrax you literally can't get hit once or its over half your life bar gone.
i really wish they brought back chameleon.

@Tim2012 Hey man if you like fighting games then you should not have any problem with updates, it's what keeps the game alive & new especially when it's a commercial hit like MvC3, paying $40 for 12 new characters, new stages, single player modes, online modes, overall rebalance is way better than paying for each of those characters alone via DLC. (which would be exactly $60) & just an FYI it's easier for NRS to appease the 50 people who play online than Capcom who has millions of fans....

@ZaikoTV I love fighting games, and I never said I have problems with updates. I said NRS is doing a hell of a job when it comes to interacting with the community (50 people...really?). Plus, MK was a hit as well. Also, your paying 40$ for an "update"?....as well as the 60 you probably spent on the game (100$ in total), not to mention the lack of content the game had. Plus, they still haven't added characters like megaman, and Ken (unless they've been confirmed)....I mean come on!

@Tim2012 There aren't that many people who take this game seriously, look at how many people sign up for this at tournaments & then you'll know what I'm talking about. UMvC3 isn't just an "update" at least not the way your making it sound, AE 2012 is an "update" nothing new just rebalancing & that will be free, UMvC3 is the new version of it with alot more content than just an update. Lack of content? What more do you want in a fighting game other than great gameplay?

@pie65576 There other issues besides just overpowered characters my friend :) .... Besides, in MKs top 8 at Evo there were 8 different characters used. Most people were expecting nothing but Lao's, Ermacs, and Cyraxs, but there was a lot variation.

Obviously our definition of "update" isn't the same, you think an update is like 1 or 2 new features added to the original, when in this case it's not. It's an entire brand new addition of content. & We all know that UMvC3 is not a "new game", it's MvC3 with a massive amount of DLC, features, rebalancing, & fixes all for a lowered price.

@ZaikoTV I just told you that MK has not been in the competitive scene. They haven't been trying to be mainstream in the tourney scene for the past 20 years, THEY ARE JUST DOING IT NOW! That's what I've been trying to tell you. Also, I wouldn't mind the 40$ price tag, but this is being announced 4 MONTHS since the previous one came out. I'm not afraid to call out NRS, because I'm not biased, but companies need to be called out when they fuck up, so hopefully they can learn from past mistakes.

Just like Smash Bros. it's a very fun game but it's not meant to be a competitive fighting game, not to be played at high levels. 1st it's actually 9 months since MvC3, it came out on Feb 15th & UMvC3 will be released in Nov. so get you facts straight. 2nd, I don't see anything wrong with the first MvC3, they're giving us a ton of content on an already great game at a low price. How did Capcom fuck up again?

MK has proven that it can be competitive at evo (and you thought it bombed...lol) Enjoy the 40$ update man, you deserve it....I only wish fighting game companies (and I'm referring to all them NRS and Capcom and others), could vigorously get top players to test their games, because some of the issues that get through are ridiculous.

@Tim2012 Online for fighting games will always suck no matter what game it is, these games were made to play offline always have been always will. If you want a robust story mode then you shouldn't be buying a fighting game for that. I just like many others are surprised that Megaman X is nowhere to be found but that doesn't mean that the game will be any less great than it already is, I'm open to all the other characters announced. (Ken? dude Ryu is already in it)

Meawhile, Capcom fans are pissed off about paying 60 bucks for basically BETA versions of the game that they wanted to play. SF4 & MVC3 are now obsolete in such a short period of time b/c of SSF4 AE & UMVC3.

@Glutenbob With pleasing their fans. In case you haven't heard, MVC3 fans are pissed off that the game they bought is now outdated in such a short time. SSF4 fans are also disappointed in the new Arcade Edition. Phil addressed this himself in a video.

I am strictly a SF player, and I am not disappointed in AE. Sure Yun and Fei are OP, but that is just two characters. Also they are making a free balance patch for it. MK is just as bad with Kung Lao and Raiden.
I disagree that NR is better at pleasing their fans. If you can tell me how they are better I would like to know. Their games, by themselves, certainly dont hold a handle to capcom fighting games in terms of competitive play and depth.

Im not going to comment on Marvel cos I haven't bought the game. But in terms of SF4, I will gladly take a yearly update if the adds characters and balances things out. You have to realize that SF4 is a very deep game so there will always be new things figured out years after release. Some new things could be cheap and need balancing, others not. So I can see why Capcom are trying to do yearly updates.

Also, So far I have paid, 115 bucks for SF4 since it released since 2008. That is about 40 bucks a year. 40 bucks a year for a game I play daily is fucking amazin, especially since it has such depth. MK on the other hand has already been figured out completely. For a game that just released, for it to be already maxed out is kind of a rip off. 80 bucks for 1 game that is completely figured out in 2-3months vs 115 bucks for a game that has still not been figured out 100% in 3 years?

@Glutenbob But there's no time to figure out Capcom's games given that they keep re-releasing it. SF4 now has three different iterations and the two previous ones are now obsolete. You're basically comparing MK9 to three different games. You may be willing to spend that much money on temporary games but other SF fans are pissed off. Also, you can't just excuse what they've done to MVC3 just b/c you don't play it.

Furthermore, MVC2 has over a decade in which people have already figured out everything in the game. Yet fans never had to pay each year just to continue enjoying it. That's great value for a game. With MK9, people continue to play the same game online and enjoy the DLC's. New content should always be downloadable and re-balancing patches should always be free. Not sold as yet another disc to make the other one a waste of time & money.

3 different games would imply that you have 3 different game engines. The universal mechanics of SF still remain intact. So its still the same game, with tweaks to characters. Also, I am not excusing what they did with MvC3, I think its bogus that they released a "beta" version of the game and are still not releasing the complete version with UmvC3. I just dont want to comment on it cos I dont possess the game.

@Glutenbob MK is faaaaaaarr from figured out my friend. People just recently figured out Jax and Sektor were legit characters...as well as Kitana a while back. In fact, most of the characters haven't even been fully explored to their full potential.

@DSPGaming it is VERY practical. i was at the PDP tournament back in may and cyrax was king over there. unlike you i actually compete in this game and stay involved with the mk community. when you fight cyrax you literally can't get hit once or its over half your life bar gone.
