This video is ridiculous...just like the drive by media to spin any non-liberal comment. Rush said EVENTUALLY....that's obvious. Murtha and you losers (Reid's words, not mine) want to cut and run now.
Remember "As they stand up, we'll stand down"? No more. Why? Because Iraqi's HAVE been standing up, now 250K, but every place they are put in charge of, the fighting gets worse. So now WE must do it ourselves. THAT is what Bush's Surge is all about.
As for Limbaugh saying "Eventually". No he didn't. Listen again. There is NO difference between what he said and what Murtha said more than a year ago.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy duties as a soldier in Baghdad to reply to my video.
Your title is misleading and you know it. I'm an American, not a Bushie.
Many of the top dem. candidates voted to go to war. They saw the same intel that Bush did (particularly Biden and Clinton). "New direction" does not mean surrender. Americans want to win the war and Patreaus has us on that path. Take care.
I know this is hard for a Bushie to grasp, giving the Prez the power to threaten the use of force to get inspectors back in is NOT the same as voting for war. Only 10 months into his first term, who knew what a devious criminal ass he was? I doubt they'd vote the same now. Our bad). As for Biden and Clinton seeing the same intel, do you REALLY believe members of Congress are privy to the same intel as the Commander-in-Chief?
Again, thank you for taking time from your duties in Iraq to reply.
B130 you are technically correct (authorization to use force not = voting for war). But there's a simple test 4 that claim: Did Dems/ clinton et al EVER say ANYTHING publicly at the START of ACTUAL WAR like "whoooaaa hey I voted to threaten force but this Bush is using force too soon / too easily / must wait...etc" - If YES then totally valid point 2 say they didn't vote "for the war". If NO, then that Dem is simply trying to get out of taking responsibility for their previous vote. Agree?
While I'm not defending Senator Clinton and do not know her reaction "specifically", I do know that *many* Democrats very VERY vocal when Bush invaded Iraq without returning to the UN for a second resolution like he promised he'd do had he of been given that authorization.
It should also be noted that Senator Obama, who touts that he *opposed* the invasion of Iraq, made no such public statement opposing Bush's decision not to return to the UN following the invasion, so who's worse?
B130 thanks I'll try to check what clinton said at the time of invasion. Anway, I dont count myself a Dem I agree with strong defense against mass murderers but I'm APALLED at CHICKENHAWKS who push war as a first resort and actively dodged any and all wars or danger themselves including Rush, Cheney, Bush, Continenti and others. more im here and see their cowardice more it bugs me!!!!
x10 - I don't like Chickenhawks! Rush never served because he had better things to do. I fucking served in the Marine Corps...All of These Chickenhawks are Cowards.
pat buchanon is a great american not rushed limbo or buttfuck o'riely and I served in IRAQ doing convoy security for KBR truckers making 3 times my pay who could leave whenever they wanted, most were good americans I have to addmit.
How is that a contridiction? Mutha is cut and run to Kuwait, Rush proposed a way to fight the war. Did you even listen to their proposals? Everyone wants the war to end, no one wants it, everyone wants the Iraquis to stand on their own, what is your point?
I think it is you "not listening". Murtha has been calling to "redeploy" our troops to the surrounding states. What did Limbaugh suggest here: "moving troops into the surrounding states". If Murtha is a "cut & runner" for proposing the same thing, what is Rush?
I cant brlieve all u stupid liberals with your ignorant comments. 2000 dead soldiers is sad but we lost about that many on the first day of the normandy invasion. Sometimes bad things have to happen to make the world safe, but stupid ignorant libs dont understand that.
Confucius say: "Better to let people think you are stupid than to open mouth and remove all doubt." Normandy was among the final push at the *end* of an International war that was over in less time than our adventure in Iraq. Iraq is going on five years now in an unnecessary war that was launched on a lie.
Let's see, Rush chickened out of the military, and now he is a great strategist for the republicans. GOOD ONE. Pop another pill mister Limpy, maybe you can get it up one more time, you certainly couldn't get it up enough to serve your country. The word coward comes to mind.
Mr. Murtha's plan is out there for anyone to go read for themselves on his website. But, you know, it's just easier to be a GOP tool, cheer RAH! RAH! for your team no matter if they are right or wrong, and continue to wallow in ignorance. Until Americans stop blindly supporting politicians soley on party preference (that goes for Dems too) and start doing some serious research into the issues at hand, we'll continue on this downward spiral.
I'm not sure if Rush is being facetitious, but even if he isn't, his strategy involves leaving the troops in Iraq and putting them on the border, unlike Murtha's, which involved taking them out of the country entirely and leaving a strike force in the region. A strike force isn't enough to combat the kind of vioelence that now exists.
Actually, that is PRECISELY Murtha's strategy: To gradually redeploy our forces to the perifery, coming in only when the Iraqi's call for "backup". That was 700 dead soldiers ago.
You shouldn't comment on positions you know nothing about. And you ESPECIALLY shouldn't be criticizing them before you do.
I feel sorry for people like you (BI30). You're so bent on trying to come up with something that fits your argument that you will quote someone totally out of context. Yes, these are his words, but if you had listen prior to and afterwards to this comment, you would have known that he was showing you how absurd the left is.
You people really do live in your own little world, don't you? I've already had this conversation with "MegaSteelers". Rush goes as far as to propose HIS OWN methodolgies for enacting this strategy ("We'll go up to 20 miles inland", which no Dem has said). I have the full audio you claim I didn't listen to. Never does he suggest he's "making a point".
I approved your comment because it is a perfect example of Republican denial. What evidence do you have that I neither listened to the show or that Limbaugh is being facetious? Where do you think I got the audio from? Rush was serious as a heart attack and made NO suggestion he was "joking" or "trying to make a point". But when confronted with the facts, your tiny Republican mind must create a rational out of thin air so that your little world makes sense again.
wow...a republican mind reader. He knows Limbaugh's thoughts, and was also able to "prove" you don't listen to his show. remarkable insight. (I would point out I am being facetitious, but I am sure he already knows what I am thinking.)
Well done. This puts the lie to the Republicans' "cut and run" strategy to defame the Democrats. Now the Democrats need to get out there and talk about their strategy, dammit. 27 more US soldiers killed in Iraq this week. Sad.
And it only took Limbaugh 11 months to realize Murtha was right. How many have died in that time? How many more will die before Washington figures it out too?
hahaha...man, you guys are so desperate to make Rush look bad...

At about 2:00 into the video Rush makes it clear that this is
"he's just thinking about all this" and uses the words "the Iraqis at some pointwill have to take care of all this" aka eventually.
Your title for the video is misleading. Rush didn't at all say he was for "cut and run" as you, the drive bys and the liberals are.

Funny how *you* can interpret "at some point" as "eventually", but I can't interpret "move into Syria" as "redeployment".
Nice double-standard you Bushies got there. Again, thank you for taking time to post in between your duties in Iraq.
