I am one of the few Eritreans who dont speak or understand Amharic... (so it seems)... I love Abreham Afeworki and I think he is the best Eritrean singer of our times.... though there are others that have produced quality work. But the main reason I am writting this is to show my respect to the amharic version... "Imitation is the best form of flaterring" And I am sure the the singer was trying to just do that and show his respect to fellow musician... Thank you.

I knew Abraham Afewerki and I talked music with him every time I met him. He was such a humble guy, loved all types of music and loved taking chances by experimenting while taking new approaches to his sound. His main goal was to improve Tigrign Music and take it worldwide. He was constantly searching to produce quality music. His song Fikrey in the early 90th remains ahead of its time. He completely changed the way Tigrign sounded, no one has done that since the Pioneer Ato Berhan Segid.
