Hi, I'm thinking of training one of my dogs to skate, which dog should I train? A shih-tzu boy who has recently turned 2, or a 5 year old west-highland terrier? The shih-tzu is quite nervous but curious and the westie is confident and assertive? Please get back as I want to start ASAP. :)

Thank you for these two videos! I have just started training my portuguese water dog to skateboard. So far she likes it ... she uses two front paws so far but I can see that she is picking up one rear paw as if she wants to put it on the board, so I think she will figure it out soon. Your video has lots of very good tips and instructions that will help us a lot. Thank you for being so clear and describing all the step so carefully. Details matter!

He's a brilliant Staffie-Cross breed. He loves to perform tricks and I know he's got the perfect i-want-to-impress-people type of personality for him to learn this trick. My dog can push himself on the skateboard with two or three paws but i cnt get him to put all four paws on to coast. Any suggestions?

most of the dogs that skateboard are relatively small, do you know if big dogs like golden retriever which is the one I have can skate too?

@KuzyStuff My 2 American bulldogs are big into skateboarding one is 92 lbs and the other is 98 lbs....any dog can !!

@jeppe344 Hi there, like you said it took you 2 hours !!! this training is nothing but repetition if the dog likes it, it will come... train only a few minutes per day so the dog doesn't get tired of it and you will see results later than sooner but they will be good...
