What "couple of things" "made sense" to choose non catholic christianity.? Bare in mind the Roman Church decided what text should and should not be in the nt?

Plus many extra verses, and many missing and tampered with. We hafve no originals of the NT, and most of the authors are unknown, which explains why there are so many contridictions, and errors. "Agnostic at most" ? agnostic doesn't really fit on a scale. You can be a theist agnostic, or atheist agnostic. Or religious agnostic. In fact everyone should be , because we cannot know everything. This word is quite often misused.
BTW when i want more spirit in my life I choose cheap scotch, cos I am lucky enough not to diffferentiate it from the good stuff.! :-)
i didnt feel offended by you outright dismissing it. your general disposition to needing "spirituality" is part of your programming. and saying well you have your opinion i have yours is really a cop out. my opinion is that we havent figured out exactly how the universe was created. yours is that a magic being did it. two completely different things. yes philosophy is important. religion is not at least not anymore. and if you dont believe the bible word for word why believe any of it?

Well, one or two are quite harsh. I have quit smoking cigarettes and I have a few videos where I am far from civil.
