Hi. I'm working on a project to build a solar panels for a prototype car. There are questions that I wanted to ask since I'm not that familiar with creating the panels.
(1) What do you think will be suitable to use for the base of the panels? I searched through the net--woods, plywoods...but our technician said that plywood is not a good option because of the heat that will build up, damaging the wirings.
(2) Which protective cover (tempered glass) should be used?

You can get pretty decent cells off eBay. I used mid-range quality Evergreen 3 x 6 cells.
