Lighten up for christs sake. How seriously do you have to take life to find a harmless weakest link puppet edition offensive. I bet you're the sort of person who likes to suck all the fun out of everything and hates seeing other people having a laugh and enjoying themselves.
@zearag surprisingly enough, even families that don't possess a Television set are still contacted via threatening correspondence, and the threat is normally backed up with a visit from a "Licensing Officer", The families then have to prove that they don't have a television. so there you have it, Muppets at the BBC and more muppets at TV Licensing, we just can't get away from these muppets, can we?
@itslefty2004 Well of course they have to check! It's hardly a 'threatening correspondance'. How would you feel if you were paying for something that your neigbours were scamming for free? Personaly however I don't see why they don't trash the TV licence because as you point out not everyone enjoys BBC. I wouldn't mind them showing adverts like the other channels myself. Maybe now we've all 'gone digital' the systems will change.
There's a massive rant in the sidebar about this show, but clearly you watched at least a portion of it. I'd be willing to bet you watch other BBC programmes too. I simply don't believe you if you say you don't.
At the end of the day people don't like paying money. I don't see you moaning about the £1000s a year you spend that goes to companys' profits. You'll get nothing back off that. At least here you get some TV channels.
well this deffinately entertains so i dont mind lol, and only ppl who wld complain r those poor enough who cant afford £145 a year! i pay more for my car tax! just stop paying if u dont like the shows.
The BBC is also biased for not complying with international regulations on legal standard names because it never uses the correct name, "Persian Gulf," in its reports. What it does is that it vandalizes a historical name, of which is a part of the Persian heritage. This is not only an insult to my country. But, it's also an insult to journalism as a whole, since it promotes inaccuracy and dishonesty, not to mention an insult to historical/geographical truth!
everytime the beeb comes up with tat like this it just adds another nail. I won't miss it. I just miss the BBC of old(style, class, integrity, intelligent). Ho hum.
All of this stemmed from the fact that I said I didn't think it was worthwhile you writing all this anyway. If it gets you down so much why bother writing about it?
So what we have established so far is that you like to hand out advice, now my question to you is this, why reply to something that obviously, in your words, " is not worthwile writing about "?
You took the time and energy to point out something that was not worthwhile, so in a sence, is worthwhile.
If you don't want to reply for the obvious reasons as:
I am a coward, I have no backbone, I am a big girls blouse, then I understand.
It's people that take an innocent issue into something totally personal, when it's not even your war of words, that I find hard to fathom. It's somebody's opinion - why give a shit? And if I couldn't be bothered to reply to this, it would've been because I was busy.
Coward? Give me a break ... I don't give a shit ... I'm hardly shaking in my boots from your comments. I'm only forced to come back to this page because people like you keep writing even more drivel. If you're apparently not bothered, then why do you keep coming back on here. I've gone past the point of caring anymore about the topic at hand - I just amuse myself over how many pathetic retorts you can come up with. No doubt you'll do it again very shortly ...
mark1919, ur are a moaning hypocrit, if you cant see that in the mirror then you are as brainwashed as the reporters on the bbc. BTW your advice was a moaning rant about this not being worth while to video about!! -- -- -- u argue like a little kid so STFU and GTFO, u are not welcomed---
Actually I thought it myself, nothing to do with being brainwashed. It's a simple fact - don't have a TV. It's like having a games console but not liking any of the games they make for it! What's the point of having one then?
Getting rid of the television sounds very good, but what about sick housebound people who can't get out, or families with young children that need occupying, I tend to think of others.
What a feeble retort! This isn't a personal issue! I'm not your mum FFS. I couldn't give a shit what you do or don't do. I'm just saying occupy yourself with something else then, instead of moaning about something that needn't concern you. You may be paying for something that doesn't directly entertain you, but like you just said, it will entertain others. Taxpayers just payed shitloads for the Olympics which I couldn't give a fuck about personally, but like many others, we don't have a choice.
I did answer! I said that it's not going to please EVERY person in the room, but sometimes you have to suffer for others. I think you're exaggerating also. You may not like this specific show, but it's hardly a true representation of the usual high quality associated with the BBC. Elderly people or kids can opt for channels more suited to them, I'm sure. The BBC has 5 channels and if you have Sky then you're sorted regardless. That's the whole point of the option of 'pick and choose'.
"high quality associated with the BBC" is very subjective, The BBC is biased in its documentaries and news service.
Patronising in its entertainment schedules including children's TV
The staff of the BBC, I find them to be self promoting wannabe celebrities full of their own self importance and worth.
Families that live below the poverty line are harassed, intimidated and threatened by TV licensing enforcers and that allows you to watch puppets on the weakest link, and all without adverts.
But all of what you have just written is YOUR own opinion, which of course you are entilted to, but therefore not everybody will agree with you, and in this case, I don't.
The Bias on the BBC is well documented, I have entered a new link in the details section of the video to the very popular blog BBC Bias.
One only need watch "children in need" & "red nose day" and all the other hyped up dysfunctional charity scams to see the BBC staff, self promoting wannabe celebrities full of their own self importance and worth, having a good laugh at our expense.
That is why I included the word Muppets in the title of this video.
I think you're being extremely hypocritical over something that's only a bit of fun. And that's what this episode was. A harmless bit of fun.

@zearag I'm Glad that you agree with me and think that the BBC TV Licence should now be abolished.
Threats are subjective, what you may see as not harmful somebody else may, do you agree with that statement?
