Seriously? I'm from the Isle of Skye & have lived here all my life,i think its great they describe our Island in such a beautiful way, so much so that it doesnt matter if they can't prenounce the word gaelic(Of which i am a fluent speaker)If your trying to misinterpret there unability to pronounce words for being ignorant to the difference in the languages i suggest you take your picky comments elsewhere.
Are you serious? Do you think the island is inhabitied by primative people with no outside connections?
The name of the ancient language of Scotland is fairly well known in the country and the world beyond. It's sad that such little research has gone into this that you don't even seem to realise that.
I think you misunderstood me. Of the several thousands of views (YouTube shows only 1,922) no one mentioned the fact except you. Does that excuse us? No. Is it a very big deal? We don't think so. We think the failure does not compromise the beauty of the place and the experience. Can you see the forest for the trees? Of course we are not suggesting the place is inhabited by primitive people. We're saying, your point is well taken. It's just not a deal breaker.
Beautiful place. If you are looking for a wee cottage to rent, contact me.

You know what funny my name is Skye Custer.
I'm Scottish, and used to live in a really big Mansion right along the coast of the Isle of Skye.
George Armstrong Custer was a Civil war leader. He is my great great granda.

I was almost with you up to 'the signs are in Gaelic and English'. You're not talking about Ireland.
Irish Gaelic is pronounced 'gae-lic'
Scottish Gaelic is pronounced 'gah-lic'
They are completely different languages.
Not that half the people who visit know the difference anyway, but talking about the wrong language is a fairly fundamental error.
